Sermon September 8 - Grow by Sunnybrook Christian Church
This recording is a condensed version of the sermon preached at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota on September 7, 2025. You can watch the full recording on our YouTube Channel. Deuteronomy 30:11-20 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. 12 "It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 13 "Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 14 "But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. 15 "See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 16 "in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. 17 "But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, 18 "I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. 19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 "that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them." Theme: Choose Life in Christ 1. The Command Is Clear 2. The Consequences Are Eternal 3. So Cling to the Cross

Sermon September 7, 2025 | Rev. Richard Harris | Christ Presbyterian Church in Houston, TX | “A Messed Up Love Story” from Genesis 29:1-30 The post A Messed Up Love Story appeared first on Christ Presbyterian Church of Houston.
Hello Hillside Family! I (Dan) am expecting this Sunday morning's worship gathering to be one of more than normal spiritual electricity and I invite you to be there. Consider these “ingredients”: (1) Our whole church family will be together–just one 10:00 AM service on the hill this Sunday; (2) Vacation season is complete so many world travelers will be back; (3) Josh Lund will be on stage with guitar after a week away; (4) Our high school and middle school students will be in the room with us; (5) We're celebrating Communion; (6) We're kicking off a new message series that Peter Turi and I have been thinking about and working on for many months–title to be revealed in the message; and (7) We have an all-church lunch right after the service–Michele is cooking as I write this. My three hopes: (1) You'll come in person to make the singing louder and to help receive visitors; (2) Some of you hiker-types will park offsite to save spots for others; and (3) you'll squeeze in once you enter the sanctuary so everyone gets a seat. God is at work at Hillside! Come Sunday to see how!Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church LIVE at 10:00 AM both online and in person as Dan Seitz teaches from Galatians 3:9.This week's sermon notes are available at: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZY0iD5ZEGcF9TReMpRqN2rp1RWgGXjpQJByIf you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our website: https://www.hillsidecovenant.org/ We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today! To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/givingThe sermon from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, September 7, 2025.
Maple Park Church Sermon - September 7th, 2025 by Maple Park Church
Topic: Real People - Real God Matthew 4:18-22; John 21:15-23; 1 Thessalonians 2:1-9 Sometimes it's hard to just be who you are. It somehow feels like it's not enough. It's not as effective or impressive as what someone else is doing. We start to chase that, but "It's a trap!" The lesson this week is that who we are is enough. The challenge is to simply and authentically be the best version of who we are. We are at our best when we are real people walking with a real God. #NorthRidge #Jesus#churchonline WELCOME PAD / MY RESPONSE -- Use this link to respond to the sermon, request prayer, or to give tithe/offerings online: https://northridgefellowship.churchce...I'M SAYING YES TO JESUS!https://northridgefellowship.churchce...
