New Testament Reading Revelation 4
Pastor Philip Caines | ADVENT 2025 Sermon Date: 2025-11-23
Discover what biblical worship really looks like through the powerful vision in Isaiah 6. Many Christians today approach worship focused on personal preferences, music styles, and emotional experiences, but Scripture reveals a completely different foundation for true worship. Discover the biblical pattern of worship that has shaped the church for centuries: God's revelation leads to human confession, followed by divine grace and commissioning for mission.

The Day of the Lord is near. We've heard this for centuries, as far back as the Old Testament prophets. But someday, it will literally come to pass, and doesn't it seem like maybe it's getting close? Pastor Mark encourages us today that the thought of Jesus returning should bring joy to our hearts! After all, isn't this the reason we believe in our Savior? He came to make a way for sinners to be reunited with their heavenly Father. One day, He will return and reign on this earth. What a privilege it would be to be part of the generation that is taken up in the clouds. Each day brings us closer to this glorious promise.
In today's message, Pastor Mark reminds us that Ahaz's warning from God is the same warning to us. We need to believe God's Word, stand firm in His truth, and trust that He will establish us. When we doubt and waver, it allows fear to enter our minds, and we make choices based on fear rather than faith. We also see in this section of Isaiah that Ahaz's heart was far from the Lord. Ironically, God chooses whomever He wants as leaders, despite what they believe or how they live. Isn't it the same with us, though? God can use us, despite our weaknesses, doubts, and shortcomings. Are you willing?
P.O.G. Daily Pause 2025-11-20 Thursday – Isaiah 6:1-8In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”5 “Woe to me!” I cried. Send me!”
Encountering God's holiness immediately reveals our human frailty and sinfulness. This moment of deepest confession is instantly answered by a divine, merciful act. The sacred, cleansing fire removes our guilt and provides full atonement. It is the ultimate assurance of God's transforming grace.
If you're a Christian, there's a point in time when you made a decision to follow the Lord. You were dead in your sins, and then instantly you were saved. This is the miracle of Christianity and the outcome of Jesus' death on the cross for you. You had no way to save yourself, and so God made a way! Today, Pastor Mark encourages you that being broken before the Lord is essential for empathy. If you haven't embraced your need for a Savior and the reality that you're a sinner, how can you share the Gospel with any conviction? You need to embrace the depth of your need, then you will be a powerful example to others.

From back in the archives, this is the first sermon I preached - July, 2013. If you've ever felt ‘meh' about faith or struggled with life's hard questions, this sermon gently calls you back to the wonder of who God is and how a humble response can change everything. This is a reminder that God isn't just a distant idea or a casual checkbox; He's holy, powerful, and deeply personal. I invite you to move from indifference or frustration to humble awe and wholehearted devotion. What's the most important thing about you? A.W. Tozer said, “The most important thing about a man is what he thinks about God.” This was my very first sermon back in July 2013, and the heartbeat of it still anchors every message I preach today. From Isaiah's vision of the Lord high and lifted up, we learn that true peace and purpose begin not with me, but with Him.

Pastor Dan's sermon emphasized God's absolute holiness, His righteous character, and His just nature in judging sin. He showed that only God can remove guilt through the atoning work of Christ, whose cross demonstrates perfect justice and mercy. The message ended by reminding listeners that while judgment is certain for the unrepentant, God's grace still reaches the humble and restores a faithful remnant.#TheOneTrueGod #Isaiah6 #GodIsHoly #JusticeAndMercy #ChristOurAtonement #PastorDan #CalvaryTilton

Sermon September 28 - Isaiah 6:1-13 by Sunnybrook Christian Church
Isaiah wasn't just sent, he was OBEDIENT. He did what God called him to do. He stood up, when no one else would. He spoke up, when everyone else was silent. We, all Christ-Followers are CALLED and SENT (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Mk. 16:15). Therefore, we have to GET RIGHT and GET READY for what God is trying to do in this generation of believers. Revival is happening all over this country, why can't it happen in our own backyard!?!!
The words you're about to hear are the same words that shook one of the greatest prophets that ever lived. the message was powerful enough to change his life and those words still ring true today! Brace yourself for a powerful wakeup call!
