Hello Hillside Family! I (Dan) am expecting this Sunday morning's worship gathering to be one of more than normal spiritual electricity and I invite you to be there. Consider these “ingredients”: (1) Our whole church family will be together–just one 10:00 AM service on the hill this Sunday; (2) Vacation season is complete so many world travelers will be back; (3) Josh Lund will be on stage with guitar after a week away; (4) Our high school and middle school students will be in the room with us; (5) We're celebrating Communion; (6) We're kicking off a new message series that Peter Turi and I have been thinking about and working on for many months–title to be revealed in the message; and (7) We have an all-church lunch right after the service–Michele is cooking as I write this. My three hopes: (1) You'll come in person to make the singing louder and to help receive visitors; (2) Some of you hiker-types will park offsite to save spots for others; and (3) you'll squeeze in once you enter the sanctuary so everyone gets a seat. Hello Hillside Family! I invite you to a big, full, rich worship service this Sunday at 10:00 AM on the hill. The service order is packed with songs, prayers, interviews, updates, mission reminders, sharing, and yes, a message from God's Word on one of the wilder passages in the New Testament. Because we'll be together as a family and because the Spirit of God will be present, this Sunday morning is packed with possibility. No one really knows what God will do, how God will speak, and who God might bring to the gathering. But because he's a good Father, we know his activity in our church and in our lives will be fully good.
