EPISODE SUMMARY Tackle Your Ride has become one of my favorite shows. For two seasons (there should be more), I have watched deserving fans get their cars/trucks/SUVs tackled (fixed up, tuned up, and made to look like their favorite teams). ABOUT FOOTBALL IS FAMILY Do you bleed your favorite football team's colors each weekend? Does the difference of a W or L in the box score dictate how you respond for the rest of the week? Or do most of your conversations with your family and friends revolve around your favorite football team? If you answered yes to any (or maybe all) of these questions, then you are in the right place. The host of this podcast truly believes that “Football Is Family” and he is on a mission to share the stories of other fans out there sharing how they have been touched by the greatest sport on Earth. Listen below to the trailer and learn more about the host and show. HOST - JEREMY MCFARLIN Growing up in Middle Tennessee, I didn't have a pro football team that was close enough to me to feel a part of. My first memory of pro football was Super Bowl 22. I picked the Broncos to win, and, even though they didn't win, I followed them from that point on. John Elway was (and is) my favorite player. I have played as the Broncos on Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Bowl Super Bowl, Madden, and 2K Sports. I fondly remember the moments when the Broncos won Super Bowls 32 and 33. Around this time, the Oilers came to Tennessee. I was hooked. I finally had a team just down the road from my hometown of Bon Aqua. Oiler (and later Titans) mania hit this area. Jerseys, hats, footballs, merchandise, and several autographs later, I'm a Titans fan through and through. It's the dedication, the love, and the passion for football that helps me realize that football is family. Each fan base has a story, a history, and a love for their team. That's what I want to talk about each and every podcast. You can follow me https://twitter.com/jeremy_mcfarlin (@jeremy_mcfarlin). Message me if you want to share your reasons why your football team is family.   Support this podcast

We don't always hear about the good things that people do in life. Too often, all we hear about is the bad, the negative, and the harmful. In today's episode of the Football is Family podcast, we look at the first season of one of my personal favorite television shows, Tackle My Ride. In these 6 episodes, the NFL rewards 6 great people for all the hard work they have done in the community. It truly is a positive television series. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K5Y22MA/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i3 (Amazon.com: The Storm and the Tide: Tragedy, Hope and Triumph in Tuscaloosa eBook: Anderson, Lars: Kindle Store) Football Is Family is part of the https://sportshistorynetwork.com/ (Sports History Network - The Headquarters For Your Favorite Sport's Yesteryear). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLCA5d4cc8k (Tackle My Ride: Cliff Avril and The Seattle Seahawks (EPISODE) | NFL Network - YouTube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiWT0YduAZs (Tackle My Ride: Jason Pierre-Paul and the New York Giants (EPISODE) | NFL Network - YouTube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o20_h4--d4o (Tackle My Ride: Brandon Carr and the Dallas Cowboys (EPISODE) | NFL Network - YouTube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoYCVMB1ENs (Tackle My Ride: Joe Haden and The Cleveland Browns (EPISODE) | NFL Network - YouTube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqP6xnuCw_w (Tackle My Ride: John Jenkins and the New Orleans Saints (EPISODE) | NFL Network - YouTube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0LhX3L3wE8 (Tackle My Ride: Kyle Rudolph and the Minnesota Vikings (EPISODE) | NFL Network - YouTube) https://www.nfl.com/news/tackle-my-ride-showcases-love-for-speed-artistry-and-power-0ap3000000739867 ('Tackle My Ride' showcases love for speed, artistry and power (nfl.com)) Support this podcast

Putting the nail in the coffin of any playoff hopes the Panthers may have had for this season should feel good, especially when it's a 40-7 beatdown that started from the first play of the game. But unfortunately this win feels like a loss with Earl Thomas going down for the season with a broken leg. Adam and Brandan talk about some of the biggest plays in the  win, why Justin Britt may be the team MVP and how this defense will look without Thomas. It's the first time he'll miss any major time and the guys talk about his tweet where he said he was thinking about retirement. With one Thomas out, there is another Thomas "in" and that's Thomas Rawls who looked like the running back we remember from the 2015 season.  Young players like Rawls, Lockett and Frank Clark could be the catalyst the team needs at this point of the season going into the playoffs. With Marshawn Lynch on the sideline at this game, it caught the attention of Pete Prisco. He likens the visit by Lynch to the high school grad that comes back to hang out at school events. Turns out, Prisco had a very interesting way he liked to retaliate against fellow athletes and he once threatened to do the same to Lynch. The Legion of Boom will face a big test this week without their star safety as they go into Lambeau, a place the team hasn't won at since 1999. When Holmgren brought Matt Hasselbeck to the Seahawks, did it somehow lead to a curse that keeps this team from winning in Green Bay? This week's Sea Hawker spotlight focuses on Patrick Seahawk Duncan who was recently featured on Tackle My Ride on NFL Network. He reveals some behind the scenes stories and talks about what it was like to have Cliff Avril deliver his truck at the final reveal. The Kitsap Sea Hawkers are also raffling off some prizes for charity. You can reach out to Patrick on his Facebook page if you'd like to help support the effort. There's a do better for a player who could ruin a fun thing for the rest of the league by making a bad decision on which foundation to support with his cleats and for a football fan who stiffed his cab driver. Adam gives his better at life nod to Santa Mike, who may in fact be the actual Santa.  Brandan calls attention to Steve Hauschka who has once again proven that he might be the best ping pong player in the Greater Seattle area. iTunes | Google Play Music | Stitcher | TuneIn | Facebook | Twitter | RSS Or listen via our free Amazon app, Android app, or iOS app Call or text: 253-235-9041 Email: gohawks@seahawkerspodcast.com Support the show Get in the Flock!
