ABOUT FOOTBALL IS FAMILY Do you bleed your favorite football team's colors each weekend? Does the difference of a W or L in the box score dictate how you respond for the rest of the week? Or do most of your conversations with your family and friends revolve around your favorite football team? If you answered yes to any (or maybe all) of these questions, then you are in the right place. The host of this podcast truly believes that “Football Is Family” and he is on a mission to share the stories of other fans out there sharing how they have been touched by the greatest sport on Earth. Listen below to the trailer and learn more about the host and show. HOST - JEREMY MCFARLIN Growing up in Middle Tennessee, I didn't have a pro football team that was close enough to me to feel a part of. My first memory of pro football was Super Bowl 22. I picked the Broncos to win, and, even though they didn't win, I followed them from that point on. John Elway was (and is) my favorite player. I have played as the Broncos on Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Bowl Super Bowl, Madden, and 2K Sports. I fondly remember the moments when the Broncos won Super Bowls 32 and 33. Around this time, the Oilers came to Tennessee. I was hooked. I finally had a team just down the road from my hometown of Bon Aqua. Oiler (and later Titans) mania hit this area. Jerseys, hats, footballs, merchandise, and several autographs later, I'm a Titans fan through and through. It's the dedication, the love, and the passion for football that helps me realize that football is family. Each fan base has a story, a history, and a love for their team. That's what I want to talk about each and every podcast. A brand new week has arrived on our calendars and that means the gang from the Real Life Podcast is back with a brand new episode to help you get you through what's left of your week. Today, the guys looked at the Nation viewing party that happened on Saturday, Oilers talk, and a whole lot more. To kick off the episode of Real Life, the boys got started with a look back at Saturday night's game against the Golden Knights and how that was a major test passed for an Oilers team that is still battling the injury bug right now. They also discussed the Nation Viewing Party that happened at Campio on Saturday night and how it was incredible to be able to get everyone back in the same room again after nearly two years apart. From Tyler's romper to the seemingly endless supply of prizes, it was an incredible night for everyone involved and we cannot wait to throw another one. From there, the guys covered what's coming up next for events now that we're able to do so. Speaking of events, Jay gave some more details about the Battle of Alberta trip we're about to launch where a bus loads of citizens will come up from Calgary instead of us going down. It's Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to help you finish off your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On this week's show, we looked at the Oilers' defence taking yet another hit, Stuart Skinner's emergence between the pipes, another round of Ask the Idiots, and a whole lot more. To kick off this week's podcast, we got started with a swing at how many goals Leon Draisaitl will have beside his name when the season comes to an end. I don't think any of us expect that he'll maintain this goal per game pace, but it was fun to hear everyone's guesses on where they think he'll end up by the time April rolls around. Sticking with Draisaitl, we dug into the clip of Trevor Zegras from Spittin Chiclets where the rookie talked about challenging Draisaitl to a bet on the opening faceoff and the former MVP chirping him in a way that only he can. From there we moved into the Oilers' injury woes that have come up over the last week, and how that's provided a huge opportunity for some of the younger guys that maybe we weren't expecting to arrive quite so quickly. We also looked ahead at tomorrow's matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights and how that is a massive game against a divisional team that has really started to turn things around after a slow start to their season. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was yet another very busy week here in Edmonton.

A new week means the boys are back with a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast to help you get your new week started and make sense of the world around us. In today's episode, the guys talked about whether Connor McDavid is having fun, looked ahead at the Olympics, and a whole lot more. To kick off today's podcast, the guys got started with a conversation about weekend beers affecting the start of the week, and how getting going on Monday can bring you through to the next weekend without even knowing it. Sticking in the fun lane, the guys wondered if Connor McDavid is taking a minute to enjoy what's happening right now or if he has to actually win something before he lets loose a little bit. Talking about McDavid led the guys into some Olympic talk and specifically tried to come up with a drinking game for Canada against China provided that the latter is allowed to participate. Turning the podcast back towards the Oilers, the guys looked at the roster and wondered where they could reasonably address some of the deficiencies that came up. That, however, was also where the podcast fell off the rails as the guys got into everything from Tyler's romper, the strings hanging out from underneath the TVs, and anything else that came to mind.

It's Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to help you finish off your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On this week's show, we looked at the Oilers' run of injuries, more magic from Connor McDavid, another round of Ask the Idiots, and a whole lot more.   To kick off this week's podcast, we got started with a look at Connor McDavid's ridiculous goals against the Rangers and then the Jets and tried to decide which was nicer. Whether you liked the one against the Rangers from two week's ago or last night's carbon copy against the Jets, Connor McDavid seems to be bringing his best at the most crucial moments in these hockey games and none of us could contain our excitement to walk through his latest magic moments. And from where we podcast, there is no better pairing for some McDavid magic than the accompanying call by Jack Michaels, which sent us down another rabbit hole for why he needs to be calling playoffs games. From there, we looked at the injury bug that's running through the Oilers' lineup right now as all three of Derek Ryan, Darnell Nurse, and Slater Koekkoek suffered injuries in the two-game mini-series against Winnipeg. Seeing as there are now holes in the lineup, the Oilers recalled both Philip Broberg and William Lagesson this morning, and we tried to figure out where they'd be slotted in and what that means in terms of continuing this early season heater. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was a very busy week here in Edmonton.

You can follow me https://twitter.com/jeremy_mcfarlin (@jeremy_mcfarlin). Message me if you want to share your reasons why your football team is family.   Support this podcast

Navy Vet, and LGBTQ Icon, Harvey Milk was honored by the US Navy with a ship named in his honor. Milk was one of four civil rights leaders given such an honor as part of a fleet of newly commissioned naval supply ships. But first, Prince Charles made Sir Elton John a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour, a special award granted to those who have made a major contribution to the arts, science, medicine, or government over a long period of time. Then, Hertz had a glitch in their system which resulted in over 150 people being arrested and or accused of stealing their rental vehicles—despite having valid rental contracts. In some cases, people were held in jail for a few months.Apple Podcasts: apple.co/1WwDBrCSpotify: spoti.fi/2pC19B1iHeart Radio: bit.ly/2n0Z7H1Tunein: bit.ly/1SE3NMbStitcher: bit.ly/1N97ZquGoogle Podcasts: bit.ly/1pQTcVWPandora: pdora.co/2pEfctjYouTube: bit.ly/1spAF5aAlso follow Tim and John on:Facebook: www.facebook.com/focusgroupradioTwitter: www.twitter.com/focusgroupradioInstagram: www.instagram.com/focusgroupradio
