It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers losing four of their last five games they should have won, Darnell Nurse chatter, Paul Coffey, playing soft, line combos, and much more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about which Nation staffer you would trust to perform surgery if a surgeon were unavailable. As you'll hear, a lot of the staff would trust Baggedmilk to get the job done. As for the real delicious debate, the guys looked back at the losses from the week and tried to figure out how much frustration everyone is feeling about the results. Shifting gears to the Edmonton Oilers, the guys started the discussion with a look at goaltending and how it's impossible to praise the goaltender when they play well, given how the season has gone so far. While Calvin Pickard played well against the Tampa Bay Lightning, there were still a bunch of Oilers fans who did not give him any credit despite his best performance of the season. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. With the 2025-26 season more than 25% complete, the guys spent the bulk of the Friday episode discussing a range of topics, some related to the Oilers and others not, but that's what happens when the team is playing as poorly as they are right now.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!Powered by @bet365. In this episode of the Bleedin Blue & White Podcast, Corey and Nick hold down the fort while Jack is “on assignment” and Pete extends his nearly year-long streak of technical difficulties. The show opens with some lighthearted banter about baseball withdrawal before turning to the NHL news dominating the week: the Edmonton Oilers' shocking collapse.Corey and Nick break down Edmonton's blowout loss to Buffalo and the ongoing chaos surrounding a team with sky-high expectations. They debate whether Connor McDavid—despite having three years left on his deal—could eventually demand a move if the Oilers continue spiraling, especially if another failed season pushes the franchise to desperation at the trade deadline. The boys then turn to the Leafs woes. Coaching speculation follows, with Nick floating the idea of Pete DeBoer as a potential turnaround option. This launches the duo into a fun hypothetical: a Toronto–Carolina conference final featuring two teams with historically bizarre playoff luck. Between DeBoer's rough Game 7 record and Carolina's streak of conference final sweeps, they joke that maybe two curses could finally cancel each other out.The episode winds down with more Blue Jays longing, Ernie Clement jersey talk, and reflections on the excitement of the previous baseball season. Corey closes the show with thanks, optimism for future episodes, and the traditional rallying cry.
Craig Button was the first guest on today's show. He first had some words on some NFL and college football before we dove into the hockey. After the break it was time for MMMMMM That's Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop. What's good today is a Friday show that involves the boss, good ol' Dustin Nielson! To cap off hour two, it was time for Mike Garafolo. He brought all the latest news with him this week. He previewed the biggest games, and gave an update on some of the latest injuries.

The Avalanche have won six straight and look every bit like a Stanley Cup favourite, Ray notes it feels like they are in a window right now with Makar's next deal 2 years away and last year’s bold overhaul in goal. Winnipeg extended captain Adam Lowry at five years times $5 million—a fair deal for a 32-year-old leader—though Ray is surprised by the league-wide trend of signing players into their age-36/37 seasons. The Oilers continue to struggle badly, losing to Washington amid alarming defensive breakdowns; despite criticism of the goaltending, Edmonton’s team play has been atrocious, they rank last in goals against and save percentage. The Rangers are dealing with backlash toward captain J.T. Miller after he appeared to quit on a play that led to Vegas’ 2–0 goal—an effort Ray compared to a preseason vibe and something New York fans won’t tolerate. Meanwhile, Patrick Roy was caught on a hot mic furious over Mikko Rantanen’s hit from behind on Alexander Romanov, who will miss significant time; Ray didn’t like the hit either and felt it warranted a suspension.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's been another wild week around here with the Oilers rollercoaster making another loop, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to recap it all. On today's podcast, I talked about the Oilers' offensive struggles, Darnell Nurse rumours, more injuries, and much more.Just when you think the Edmonton Oilers might be turning the corner, another catastrophic loss sends the fanbase back into a spiral, and that's happened after the 5-1 beatdown in Buffalo on Monday. Not only did the boys lose to the worst team in the Eastern Conference, but they never even looked like they were in the fight. And when you lose a game that badly to a team as mediocre as the Sabres, the result is another round of questions about the team's construction, the guys who are struggling, and everything in between. Never a dull moment around here. Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about the LRT construction, then wrapped up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was alive this week, and hearing everyone's takes was so much fun. The voicemail is my favourite way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. Another hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to this week's episode. Having all of you in the mix makes the show so much better.Want to leave a voicemail for next week's show? Do it here!
