In Edmonton, a 4–3 loss to Calgary made it three straight defeats, leading Leon Draisaitl to publicly criticize the team — including himself — with Ray agreeing this looks like the weakest Oilers group of the past three years, plagued by goaltending uncertainty and a lack of depth beyond McDavid and Draisaitl.
