It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed Team Canada vs. Team Czechia, Connor McDavid's success at the games, the State of the Nation survey results, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the Winter Games and what everyone's biggest takeaway was for Canada. Given that the standard in Canada for hockey is gold or bust, it's hard not to be disappointed with how things ended, especially given how dominant our boys were despite the loss. Either way, any excuses the fellas could come up with were all punctuated with the fact that the team lost the most important game of the tournament.Changing gears, we looked ahead to the Oilers' first game back in their stretch drive and how these three games in California could end up among the most important of the year. Given that these are three Pacific Division opponents, finding ways to get points from those them is crucial for setting them up down the stretch. From there, the boys spoke about Brett Kulak being traded from Pittsburgh to Colorado, and how Kyle Dubas just keeps adding assets to his arsenal for whenever they decide to rebuild. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Liam's Tenable game. With none of the other boys coming up with anything new, the guys went for another round of Liam's grouping game. Think you know how all of these topics fit together and where they rank? Props to Liam for coming up with a game, as the usual quizmaster didn't have the time to get one done for today. What were the biggest storylines coming out of the tournament? Did anything surprise us? Disappoint us? Change the legacy conversation? We're diving into all of it one last time.   With the Olympics in the rearview, the focus shifts back to the NHL. The Edmonton Oilers hit the ice tomorrow for the first time in nearly three weeks. What should we expect coming out of the break? Should Connor play — and will he? Who needs to elevate their game down the stretch? Most importantly, what do the Oilers need to do to lock in a playoff spot and make some noise?   Olympic reactions. Oilers preview. Big questions. Strong opinions.   2 Guys & a Goalie is presented by GS Construction!

Canada survives in absolute chaos, Olympic pressure is peaking, and the big-save conversation just got louderOn this week's episode of Ask Dubey: Olympic Edition, former NHL goaltender Devan Dubnyk kicks things off by breaking down Canada's dramatic overtime win over Czechia. From dominating possession but struggling to extend the lead, to the controversial missed six-men moment, Dubey explains why international hockey can flip in a single shift. The spotlight quickly turns to the position everyone loves to debate: goaltending.Dubey gives credit to Jordan Binnington for doing exactly what you need in these tournaments — making the right save at the right time — including a breakaway stop late in the third and a massive overtime save that set up Mitch Marner for the winner. From there, it's classic Ask Dubey, answering listener questions on:• What “battling” really means when a goalie's team looks chaotic• Whether you can tell in the first five minutes if your defense doesn't have it• If goalies adjust technically when things feel off• Whether the Edmonton Oilers need a major trade deadline shakeup• Why a blockbuster move is unlikely — and why secondary scoring matters more• The pressure and expectations of representing Team Canada internationally• And how difficult it is for Olympic players (and non-Olympic players) to reset before the NHL stretch runThe episode wraps with Dubey reflecting on the unique mental challenge of playing for Canada — where gold is the expectation and anything less feels like failure — and what it really takes to handle that pressure in net.Drop your questions using #AskDubey in the comments or on social — and hopefully next week we're breaking down a Canadian gold medal.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!

On today's podcast, the fellas discussed Team Canada going to the gold medal game, Connor McDavid's new record, line combinations, trade targets, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Team Canada's two tight wins in the elimination games and whether facing that adversity will help them in the gold medal game. Given that the team has needed consecutive comebacks to beat Czechia and Finland, the boys wondered if grinding through those two games would better prepare them for what's to come on Sunday morning.Shifting gears, the guys looked at Team Canada's comeback win over Finland after the boys fell 2-0 early in the game, forcing a wild comeback over the final half. Starting with Connor McDavid setting an Olympic record with NHLers in the mix, it's been incredibly to watch No. 97 do his thing at such a high level. Even so, there was still controversy about the late penalty on Nathan MacKinnon that ultimately ended the game for Canada. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. New father, Chris Johnston was the first guest on today's show. He gave us an update on what being a father is like and then it was all hockey talk. He touched on Crosby getting injured, how close Canada was to losing, Czechia having six players on the ice, how clutch Binnington is, and finished with his thoughts on Paul Coffey being back behind the Oilers bench.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   We then gave our beefs on this very beefy morning!   Reid Wilkins capped off hour two with his thoughts on his performance from this weeks draft, yesterday's Canada win over Czechia and then finished with his thoughts on the women's team facing the Americans for gold later today.

It's been another wild week around here with the Oilers rollercoaster making another loop, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to recap it all. On today's podcast, I talked about the Oilers' coaching conversation, Paul Coffey's return, the winter Olympics, Snowmageddon, and much more.I kicked off this week's episode with a look at the Winter Olympics and how I'm starting to get sad that we're already more than halfway through the games. I love the Winter Games, and it's always such a bummer when they wrap because it means we have to wait another four years to watch weird sports again. I also spent some time digging into a Real Life Podcast story from Oshawa, which we covered a couple of weeks ago, after I found a Reddit thread dedicated to the situation that is too funny not to read. And if you're wondering, I did talk about the Oilers a little bit, too. Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a quick Righteous Sack Beating before closing out the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was busy again because of no show last week, and everyone's takes ranged from what you're nerdy about to Oilers talk and everything in between. The voicemail is the best way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. Another hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to this week's episode. Having all of you in the mix makes the show so much better. Want to leave a voicemail for next week's show? Do it here!

Miami releases Tyreek Hill and more. John Harris breaks down NFL cut candidates the Texans should target, plus Jalen Pitre joins Jonathan Joseph on No Audibles. The show opens with an AFC South tour, starting with a Cameron Wolfe report that the Jacksonville Jaguars plan to use Travis Hunter as a full-time cornerback with only part-time receiver snaps in 2026 — vindicating what the hosts argued on draft night. They debate whether Jacksonville would have been better off staying at pick five for Mason Graham instead of trading up to two for Hunter. The Indianapolis Colts segment sparks a discussion about franchising Alec Pierce versus Daniel Jones, and the Tennessee Titans unveil a new logo amid Oilers-inspired uniform leaks that stir up Houston emotions all over again. Then the big story breaks: the Miami Dolphins release Tyreek Hill, James Daniels, Bradley Chubb, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in a major roster purge. While Tyreek won't be a Texans target, the hosts pivot to The Athletic's list of one potential cap cut from every NFL team, running through over a dozen names with a Texans lens. Interior defensive linemen Broderick Washington (Ravens), A'Shawn Robinson (Panthers), and B.J. Hill (Bengals) get detailed evaluations, as do offensive linemen Elgton Jenkins (Packers), Ezra Cleveland (Jaguars), Mekhi Becton (Chargers), and Graham Glasgow (Lions). John breaks down which players fit the Texans' scheme, age profile, and budget. The show closes with Jalen Pitre's feature interview on Jonathan Joseph's No Audibles podcast. Pitre reflects on being drafted, getting sent flying by Laremy Tunsil in his first practices, his role as a versatile nickel/safety weapon, his devastating hit on Rashee Rice, the guardian cap decision, leadership in the secondary, and giving back to his hometown of Stafford.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed Team Canada vs. Team Czechia, Connor McDavid's success at the games, the State of the Nation survey results, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the State of the Nation poll and the results from what Nation Citizens are thinking about the team this year. As you'll hear, nearly 80% of Nation Citizens feel there is a problem with the coaching staff, which has led to a discussion about whether the men behind the bench are the problem. As you'll hear, the boys all acknowledge the issues with the coaching staff, but none of them necessarily think a change is coming.Changing gears, we looked ahead to Team Canada vs. Team Czechia in the quarter-final, and how our boys are heavily favoured against a team they faced just a few days ago. While the road to the semis looks good, the reality is that Canada can't take Czechia lightly despite being a much better team on paper (and on the ice). Sticking with the Winter Games, we did a throwback to Friday's episode of ONR where the boys discussed the Canadian curling controversy and offered an update on what's happened in the days since. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Baggedmilk's Trivia. With none of the other boys coming up with anything new, the guys went back to old faithful with a round of Oilers and Olympics-related Baggedmilk Trivia questions. Think you know your Olympic Winter Games history? This round of trivia was for you. Did the quizmaster have to step in? Did Baggedmilk get his questions right? You'll have to listen to find out for sure.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!
