Five guilds go in, and White Weenie comes out? We talk with our special guest, GP winner and savvy brewer Zac Elsik about Pro Tour Guilds of Ravnica. Zac gives us his impressions on the decks and the PT meta, followed by some great advice to potential brewers out there. Then we wrap it up by pondering our cast list for the first MtG feature film.
This time we are joined by Seb Celia from the Wak-Wak crew in Stockholm and we rabble about all sorts of things. But the main focus is discussing three decks we like to play, Erhnamgeddon, The Deck and Fork Recursion Combo. We also talk a little bit about White Weenie and brewing with Black Vise. Here is a small index on when we talk about what: 0.35 - Introduction of Guest host Seb Celia 5.30 - White Weenie, Black Vise and random talk 23.00 - Erhnamgeddon 46.50 - The Deck 1.08.40 - Fork Recursion Combo 1.39.30 - Some last ramblings Here is Svantes blog that we talk about: https://endofturndrawacard.wordpress.com/ And here are the decklists: http://imgur.com/a/txKLU
“The most important lesson I’ve learned is letting that which truly does not matter, go.” Damon Whitby, also known as “Parcher” on The Source, is one of the elder statesman of the Legacy format. He’s been advancing the format for over a decade. These days he can usually be found terrorizing opponents with his Dredge deck, although he has played a wide range of archetypes over the years. This episode is filled with Damon’s experiences and musings on life. Never one to hold back, he talks about his rough childhood and what lies beneath his gruff exterior. Damon also talks about the mid-Atlantic Magic scene and some of the best players he’s interacted with. In many instances, the discussions verged into personal and life-related observations. The honesty really came through in this conversation. As someone who grew up with The Source, I hope that I have done Damon justice in representing his views and that you will enjoy this recording. Marc Konig guest stars on Legacy's Allure to explain that there are only 3 things certain in life: Death, Taxes, and White Weenie. We'll discuss what makes this seemingly underpowered pile of creatures a powerful force in Legacy and how it earns its spot at the top tier. Join us as we explore Death and Taxes.
