Sorry about the wait, friends. Our best friend/producer broke his leg and had surgery in between episode 2 and 3, so it took a bit longer to get this out to you guys. Join us as we break down our dating history, and tell the story of how we met and fell in love. Do you have a funny story involving your significant other? Join us on the corner and share your experience with us. We'll see you at www.onthecorner.us or on our Facebook group On The Corner.
My guest Lonnell Matthews and I discuss the power of relationships, the evolution of justice, and entrepreneurial governing. We’ll also talk about the podcast he co-hosts with his wife, “You're All I Need.”
The homie Brandon L. comes thru and holds it down while Lito is out honeymooning & petting wild monkeys. This week it's interracial dating, Kiki being a hater on her own brother during Fathers Day, Office Potlucks, White People doing White People things. We move onto Father's Day gifts and why you should pay attention to your partner. Black folks wanting to be elite about Benihanas & Pappadeauxs. Sunny J. Reed, an emerging adoption writer, mom, and transracial adoptee joins Mark on the podcast to discuss an important aspect of the Adoption issue, re-homing. Re-homing is a term used to describe the act of returning a child to an adoption agency or between two private parties. In America, hundreds if not thousands of private re-homings occur with no oversight and facilitated by Internet message boards on sites like Yahoo and Facebook. Valerie Simpson, who rose to fame alongside her late husband Nickolas Ashford as music team Ashford & Simpson, is currently starring in the hit revival of Chicago as Matron "Mama" Morton. Writers and producers Ashford & Simpson first made their mark with the celebrated duets "Solid" and "Found a Cure." They crafted hit songs including the original versions of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Your Precious Love," "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing" and "You're All I Need to Get By." The pair made their Broadway stage debut in 1976 with the concert engagement Al Green/Ashford & Simpson. Music and lyrics by Ashford & Simpson have been heard on Broadway in An Evening with Diana Ross and Motown The Musical. In 2002, Ashford & Simpson were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.Hosts: Paul Wontorek, Ryan Lee Gilbert, Caitlyn Gallip

It's Bonus Song Thursday! Brian and Bill follow up our Wu-Tang talk by discussing one of their most successful members Method Man and his hit featuring Mary J. Blige "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By." Our chat about the time period this was release quickly turned into a deeper examination of cultural appropriation, bias, and why it might be okay for two white guys to have a serious discussion examining what makes some rap music great. Also, we round up the emails and responses to our Jimmy Eat World episode. We'll be back in two weeks with a very Summer Special episode!
