We run through the news to kick things off starting with info on the DC video subscription service, as well as the Titans tv series. There's going to be a sequel to What we do in the Shadows and we got a preview of No Justice to discuss as well. In this week's episode, the Z2 gang gets ready for the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda despite the luke warm reception so far. We also have to educate Zach on how segway's are actually supposed to work as he seems to just move us from topic to topic. In news that happened this week though, there was official confirmation of the Venom movie which is coming in 2018 from Sony, and people are worried since the writers for Amazing Spider-Man 2 are attached to the film and peoples reception of that movie are not great. Iron Fist also dropped on Netflix and fans reception of that has been far better than the critics, as on Rotten Tomatoes viewer reviews are sitting at around 80% which isn't as bad as the critics made it seem. In this week's episode, Zach proves to the Z2 Gang how he was right about Wildstorm months in advance, and other things that we should probably pay attention to in the near future. Some of these things may be related to Marvel, as it is a very Marvel heavy episode, as they are trying to go back to basics with many series, and include new one's like Marvel Generations which only has an Alex Ross promo image so far. We also talk about how we fell for the click bait as we learned this week that Matt Reeves will not be directing The Batman solo movie. This has lead us to not want to talk The Batman movie until we get actual confirmation, not just rumors that appear to be true. Are discussion topic for this week is villains becoming more heroes and anti-heroes, do you like this trend? Which villains would you think would make a good hero or anti-hero? In this week's episode, we have TV upon TV news to discuss. The Z2 gang kicks off with the Runaways cast getting fully revealed, which appears to be a teen drama cast from other teen dramas, but could still be good. Then we talk about how the Arrow-verse appears to have redeem itself after whatever the hell season 4 was, and how the CW is now adding another show to their line up with Black Lightning's Pilot being picked up. Then Zach explains why everyone needs to watch Riverdale, and trust us when we say he still hasn't stopped talking about it since this past weekend. Our discussion for this week is how to fix the Marvel universe since they appear to not have an idea of what they do outside of certain titles. Will we come up with a solution? In this week's episode, the Z2 gang brings their good buddy Jim back onto the show to discuss many a topic revolving video games and Green Lantern. With the exciting news of the Nintendo Switch being announced this past week, we discuss the things we are excited about with it, how well it will do, and where in the hell is a new Metroid game. In Marvel news this week, the info of how the Inhumans tv show will be first put out as a 2 hour movie was released and it seems rather confusing. We ponder on what exactly it means and wonder what the hell is happening over at Marvel right now. Which brings us to talk about the new Secret Empire event and how Zach has a theory of how that event will end, and probably mean nothing within 6 months since there's event's constantly happening in Marvel books. In DC news, we learned that David Goyer and Justin Rhodes are really pushing to work on a Green Lantern Corps movie, and everyone wants to play Jon Stewart for some reason. However, there has been a lot of backlash with Goyer getting the writing gig after Batman v Superman received mixed reviews from both fans and critics. Finally, our discussion question for this week involves video games, specifically indie video games and if the trend of them becoming more well received over major AAA titles will continue? Coming to you from the amazing Hall of Justice Comics & Collectibles, we bring you the 44th episode of the Thinking Outside the Long Box Podcast!! From talking about the world largest dildo, to our disgusting hotel room for San Diego Comic Con, as well as all the "latest" news from the DC and the Marvel universe!! PLUS, this was a special gathering for the Colorado Comic Book Enthusiast club!! When we meet at HOJ, we always have listeners, and awesome people join us to speak on the show! We spoke about Fort Collins Comic Con, Denver Comic Con, and San Diego Comic Con, with all of these people, and got some pretty cool insight to a few of the different Colorado shows! As a special event during this episode, we also invited the guys from the Z2 Podcast to join us, and we all played a tense game of SUPERFIGHT!!! Team TOTLB had never played this game before, so team Z2 obviously had the upper hand! It was tense, there were traitors, and there were definitely a lot of laughs!
