Season four adapts Lee Child's Gone Tomorrow and drops Reacher into an increasingly tangled political and intelligence conspiracy. Episode Summary After a misunderstanding turns Reacher into Philadelphia's most wanted man, he spends much of the episode doing what Reacher does best: escaping situations that should probably be impossible to escape. Meanwhile, Jacob, Tamara, and Plum recover the flash drive Anna mailed before her death, along with her phone, but their attempt to finally get some answers turns into a violent confrontation with Lila and Amisha. Jacob gets his first genuine opportunity to strike back at the people responsible for his sister's death. The recovered evidence also starts bringing the larger conspiracy into focus. A photograph connects Congressman Sampson to a disgraced Indonesian general, but Reacher suspects another person in the image may actually be more important to the mystery. Anna's phone also gives the group stronger evidence tying Lila directly to the killings. By the end, Reacher and Tamara's investigation leads them toward another confrontation while Jacob is taken hostage, leaving Tamara with a pretty awful decision to make. And this one definitely supports the subtitle vibe we were talking about: there's plenty of entertaining Reacher insanity here, but the season is getting increasingly dependent on everyone accepting some wildly convenient and increasingly ridiculous shit to keep the plot moving. In Green Lantern Corps #19, Guy Gardner brings the Lanterns bonded to the emotional entities together around a new idea: their individual emotions remain distinct, but they may now be able to draw on the entire emotional spectrum when they need it. In Barbara Gordon: Breakout #4, Barbara finally meets one of the innocent people she entered prison to find—a cop locked up for refusing to play along with Vandal Savage—while Sparrow's murder gives the story some badly needed forward momentum. In Clayface: Celebrity Dirt #2, someone is impersonating Clayface, and his attempt to uncover who is behind it becomes much more personal when a friend he confides in is murdered. In Fury of Firestorm #5, Firehawk briefly reaches the Ronnie Raymond trapped inside the Firestorm Matrix, but Professor Stein's reaction when the sentient Matrix calls him "father" raises new questions about whether his supposed remorse was ever genuine. In Emperor Aquaman #20, Arthur moves his fight with Poseidon away from Earth so he can finally cut loose, and the God of the Sea gets a firsthand demonstration of just how terrifyingly powerful Aquaman has become. Nathan Fillion is bringing Guy Gardner to DC Studios' animated Mister Miracle, and showrunner Tom King says the character's over the top energy is exactly why it works. It is also one more piece of proof that James Gunn's promise about the DCU's animated and live action sides being one universe is holding.Fillion is the first voice actor officially announced for Mister Miracle, the adult animated series based on the Eisner winning 12 issue run by Tom King and Mitch Gerads. This is not Fillion's first trip through the Green Lantern Corps either, since he spent years voicing Hal Jordan across DC's animated films before Gunn cast him as Guy in live action. King, who serves as showrunner and executive producer on the series, told Entertainment Weekly that Guy's tone lands even in a very different show because that is simply who the character is. The bigger story is continuity. Rick Flag Sr. was voiced by Frank Grillo in Creature Commandos and played by Frank Grillo in Superman, and now Guy Gardner is jumping mediums with the same actor attached. Mister Miracle follows Scott Free and Big Barda trying to live quietly on Earth while Darkseid and the war between Apokolips and New Genesis close in, and King has already teased that the Darkseid casting will surprise people. Absolute Catwoman #1 introduces a wealthy and successful Selina Kyle whose planned retirement is postponed by an attack tied to a mystery that culminates in the surprise debut of Absolute Cassandra Cain. Nice House By The Sea #10 delivers major revelations surrounding Walter and Max while raising new questions about the true nature of the apocalypse. Supergirl #14 sees Kara receive a new costume and a cure for her cybernetic corruption as tensions within Kandor continue to escalate. Bleeding Hearts #5 follows Rabbit as she becomes part of the zombie holiday known as the Great Hunt while Poke develops an increasing empathy for the living. Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #4 concludes the series by revealing Bruce Wayne's connection to the dark force shaping Gotham and setting him on a collision course with the city's elite.
