Founded in 2008, The Zeitgeist Movement is a Sustainability Advocacy Organization which conducts community based activism and awareness actions through a network of Global/Regional Chapters, Project Teams, Annual Events, Media and Charity Work. The Movement’s principle focus includes the recognition that the majority of the social problems which plague the human species at this time are not the sole result of some institutional corruption, scarcity, a political policy, a flaw of “human nature” or other commonly held assumptions of causality in the activist community. Rather, The Movement recognizes that issues such as poverty, corruption, collapse, homelessness, war, starvation and the like appear to be “Symptoms” born out of an outdated social structure. While intermediate reform steps and temporal community support are of interest to The Movement, the defining goal here is the installation of a new socioeconomic model based upon technically responsible Resource Management, Allocation and Distribution through what would be considered The Scientific Method of reasoning problems and finding optimized solutions. This “Resource-Based Economic Model” is about taking a direct technical approach to social management as opposed to a Monetary or even Political one. It is about updating the workings of society to the most advanced and proven methods Science has to offer, leaving behind the damaging consequences and limiting inhibitions which are generated by our current system of monetary exchange, profits, corporations and other structural and motivational components. Some might ask: Is The Zeitgeist Movement related to Peter Joseph’s Film Series? No. The Zeitgeist documentary series was the inspiration for “The Zeitgeist Movement”, due to their popularity and overall message of seeking truth, peace, and sustainability in society. While the word “Zeitgeist” is associated with Peter Joseph’s film series, “Zeitgeist: The Movie”, “Zeitgeist: Addendum”, and “Zeitgeist: Moving Forward”, these films are personal artistic expressions of the filmmaker himself, with the call to found a global movement at the end of documentary Zeitgeist: Addendum. In this episode you can get an update how members of the Zeitgeist Movement interpret the goals and mission statement published on the international website. Moreover Serf Doesborgh explains who is behind the Dutch chapter, and what are the challenges and next steps of the movement. https://www.wachama.org/ Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/NDkuK-eyy8E

Zeitgeist: Moving Forward, by director Peter Joseph, is a feature length documentary work which presents a case for a transition out of the current socioeconomic paradigm, the "monetary system," to a new, sustainable social paradigm called a "Resource-Based Economy". Through a series of interviews, presentations of statistics, and historical analysis, Joseph builds an argument that economists should focus on the "life ground" attributes of human and social survival, extrapolating from those immutable natural laws a new socioeconomic system, rather than the "money sequence of value," which assigns value to monetary instruments independent of their relationship to natural laws. The documentary covers diverse issues ranging from human nature, nature vs nurture, genetics and epi-genetics, to social engineering, monetary policy, and macroeconomic policy on a global scale. Simultaneous with the documentary aspects of the film is a fictional narrative which attempts to dramatize the subjects being discussed, and which presents creative commentary on the current state of world affairs, and well as possible future scenarios. The film concludes with an illustration of a possible society based on the Resource- Based Economy, and a fictional narrative envisioning how such a system might emerge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w www.TheKingdomofGodorNothing.com www.Latterdaykingdom.webs.com
On this episode of V-RADIO we talk to Summer Perry. Some of you might remember her beautiful pictures advocating the Resource Based Economy. She also starred in "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward" as the reporter near the end of the film. The "TZM Personalities" series will be shows where we talk to different recognizable people in the Zeitgeist movement to ask them their stories of how they became involved and why they advocate the Resource Based Economy. V-RADIO is still looking for much needed donations this month. (We need at least $200 to keep doing before the 1st of June) Please consider going to http://v-radio.org/donations and donating to this effort. And thanks to everyone who has supported V-RADIO!
Postponed thirty minutes as the good doctor is not yet on Skype. I assume something is keeping him. V-RADIO is happy to once again have Dr. Gabor Mate. One of the experts on behavior and addiction from "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward".
On this edition of V-RADIO we are happy to have Noel Hunter, known as "Hero" in the credits of "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward". You would remember him as the fellow who tosses the brief case of money at the banks in the final scene. Noel has been working on the administration of the movement since it's inception and we will talk about his experiences working with Peter Joseph and the Zeitgeist Movement.
Due to technical problems on Blogtalk's end with the last show, Dr. Mate was kind enough to reschedule another show with V-RADIO. We will be discussing his books, his work with bullying, and his participation in "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward".
