I'm back girlfriends, and it's a NEW DAY!In this premiere episode, I'm talking about what happens when we trade alignment for comfort and slowly disconnect from our own power. This conversation is about recognizing where you've been shrinking, over-accommodating, or choosing approval over truth and how to start reversing that pattern in real life, not just in theory. If you've felt stuck, drained, or unsure of yourself lately, this episode explains why and gives you practical steps to reconnect with your voice and your decisions. In This Episode • How “keeping the peace” can weaken self-trust• The signs you're playing small without realizing it• Why power is built on self-trust, not confidence• What changes when you choose alignment over approvalPractical Activation Steps1. Do a power audit: Identify one area where you're avoiding honesty to stay comfortable2. Practice one direct statement this week without over-explaining3. Make one daily decision based on alignment, not approvalEpisode Affirmations I am safe to take up spaceI trust my decisionsI choose alignment over approvalJournal Prompt Where am I staying comfortable instead of being honest, and what would change if I stopped?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/new-day-with-sybil-amuti--5408422/support.This show is. brought to you by The Great Girlfriends - A media company dedicated to the empowerment of women in community.Got a show idea? In this episode, I'm breaking down overthinking and why it quietly kills momentum. If you've been stuck in analysis, waiting for clarity, or afraid to choose wrong, this conversation explains what's happening and how to get moving again. Overthinking feels responsible, but it's often fear disguised as preparation. And the longer you stay in your head, the harder it becomes to trust your next step. This episode is about interrupting that loop and rebuilding momentum in real-time.In This Episode • Why overthinking is a fear response, not a strategy• How perfectionism delays progress• The real cost of waiting to feel ready• Why momentum creates clarity, not the other way aroundPractical Activation Steps1. Put a deadline on one decision you've been avoiding2. Ask for the next step, not the final outcome3. Use movement to reset your nervous system (walk, stretch, clean)4. Make one imperfect decision on purpose this weekAffirmations I trust myself to decide and adjustMotion brings clarityI do not need certainty to beginJournal Prompt What decision have I delayed because I'm afraid to be wrong, and what changes if I choose anyway?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/new-day-with-sybil-amuti--5408422/support.This show is. brought to you by The Great Girlfriends - A media company dedicated to the empowerment of women in community.Got a show idea? We plan to get back to normal rotation in the summer. In the meantime, John will be joined by some friends of the show for some conversations on the goings on in the news. Thanks to our daughter we've just discovered epic new theme music for the show. It's called "Watch Florida Grow (The Cracker Theme Song) and was recorded by the South Ocean String Band. This song speaks to the heart and soul of anyone who truly cares about Florida so we debut it in this episode and discuss the backstory behind it. We then go on a rambling discussion about conservation in general, the Great Florida Cattle Drive 2026, and some general cow culture history before diving into the 2026 Florida legislative session and some of the pending bills that are being misconstrued and highly misunderstood in an effort to help clear away some of that confusion. We bounce back and forth from lighthearted banter to serious discussions to keep things interesting. Be sure to listen for The Cracker Theme Song in its entirety at the end of the episode. You're gonna love it!

Exciting news! This month I'm launching Political Fictions, a new podcast with Cory Hazlehurst, from the Not Enough Champagne podcast. It's all about TV, film and books featuring politics. You can also follow the podcast via our website, www.politicalfictionspodcast.com. I will be carrying on with my previous podcast, Never Mind The Bar Charts, but at a lower tempo of episodes.
This first episode is intentionally unstructured. Two of the hosts sit down with no outline, no script, and no pressure; just two moms talking, laughing, and bouncing off each other's energy the way it naturally happens. We kick things off with our Song of the Day, wrap up with a Random Kid Moment, and let the rest of the conversation unfold in between. This episode isn't about perfection or polish. It's about giving you a real feel for who we are, how we show up, and why music still lives in us even after life gets loud. Consider this your introduction; not to the show, but to us.The Classic MATM intro the sound that tells you, we're coming back from or going to break/ad ok byyyyeee Support the show

In this episode of Leadership Liner Notes, Sean Gaillard reflects on what happens when the band changes and how leaders respond when the familiar is gone. Drawing from albums and moments tied to The Who, Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen, Sean explores how artists adapt after loss and transition while still honoring who they have been. From The Who's Face Dances following the death of Keith Moon, to solo and band evolutions shaped by change, this episode becomes a meditation on continuity, courage, and reinvention. Sean also shares where he is living right now in his own liminal space and why human centered leadership rooted in empathy, kindness, and belonging matters more than ever. He announces the launch of a new podcast series, Leading While Human, co hosted with Dr. Sonia Matthew, debuting February 1, and invites listeners to join the conversation about what it truly means to lead while human. It's time to breakup with watered-down content and instead, ask our people to rise with us.In this episode, I announce the podcast rebrand (finally!), why I'm going all-in on 2-3 episodes per week, and what happens when you delete social apps from your phone for just ONE week. Spoiler: total clarity.I dive deep into why Rosalía's Lux, Sinners, and Heated Rivalry are proof that audiences are STARVING for work that challenges them — and why we need to stop underestimating people's capacity to pay attention.Plus: why "the more we are in the era of dopamine, the more I want the opposite" is my new creative north star, and how I'm building SUPERNOVA as a thinking lab where we synthesize obsessions into worldviews that actually move culture.Snippets from this episode:The podcast rebrand: After 8 years, I'm retiring "In My Non-Expert Opinion" because it was a shield I no longer need. I'm ready to own my voice, go full throttle, and podcast 2-3x/week.Deleting social apps = instant brain space - I took the apps off my phone for one week and the clarity was WILD. Ideas landed, brain fog lifted, and I realized: why am I not treating online platforms like contract jobs instead of letting them scatter my attention 24/7?Rosalía, Sinners, and Heated Rivalry are giving us credit to pay attention - These aren't light, bubblegum experiences. Rosalía dropped an album in 14 languages with the London Symphony Orchestra. Sinners demand you clock in to catch the symbolism. Heated Rivalry became a global phenomenon not because "the guys are hot," but because it shows radical intimacy and vulnerability on screen. We connect through challenge, not just agreement - Rosalía didn't water down Lux for mass appeal; she asked us to rise with her. The most powerful connection happens when artists challenge us to expand our capacity."What is most personal is most universal" - Carl Rogers said it, and Heated Rivalry proves it. We're obsessed because we see ourselves in the yearning, the walls, the avoidance. When you dig into YOUR inner treasure chest and build a captivating world, people will leave their old ones behind to join you.Question of the week: Why do we say "pay attention"? Email me at team@chelseariffe.com or DM me @chelseariffe with your thoughts. This episode is fueled by FOOTNOTES, my newsletter filled with rabbit holes, synthesis, questions and more.Connect with Chelsea:
On today's episode, I dig into my thought process as I consider launching a new podcast—and I walk through the essential questions I ask anyone who's thinking about starting one. If you've already got a podcast, these questions might help you rethink your approach. Why am I starting this podcast? I share my background as a teacher and my desire to fight back against spammy guest pitches. I want to educate PR agencies and help fellow podcasters feel less alone in the sea of spam.Who is this podcast for? This show is for two groups: PR agencies (so they can do their job better) and podcasters (so they know they're not alone and can improve how they handle pitches). How will I measure success? Instead of downloads, I'll measure success by how many people utilize resources I share, like PodMatch and PodcastGuests.com. I'll also keep tabs on affiliate signups. What are the hurdles?I reflect on a previous project, Dates from Hell, which struggled because it required audience participation but didn't yet have an audience. For this new podcast, I'll need a steady supply of good (and bad) pitches from listeners. Is this a passion project, hobby, or business? This is mostly a passion project and a hobby, driven by my desire to make a difference and maybe have some fun. If I can monetize it, that's a nice bonus. Why will my audience listen?Listeners will tune in to hear entertainingly bad pitches, learn how to make their own pitches better, and find solidarity in their struggles with guest booking spam. Plus, I'll offer educational insights that no one else seems to be sharing right now.How long will it take to make an episode?I estimate each episode will take around half an hour to produce, keeping things doable alongside my other commitments. You measure your production time and then choose your schedule.Do I have time and resources to make this happen? I've already got hosting, gear, and a plan for the website (PitchAPodcast.com). The biggest challenge will be getting enough listener participation to keep the show going.Key Takeaway I'm considering a crowd-generated podcast to tackle the problem of bad guest pitches. If you'd like to participate, send me your stories of bad (or good!) pitches, info about your podcast and website, and details on your ideal guest.I run through all the big questions to ask before launching, sharing my honest answers and experiences.Links MentionedPitchapodcast.comschoolofpodcasting.compodcastingobservations.comCaptive Media HostingBuzzsprout Media HostingPodMatch

This week Justin is joined by Steve Ackerman, one of the UK's leading audio execs and former EVP and Head of Global Podcasts at Sony Music. Steve talks through three decades of shaping audio, from starting in hospital radio to building Somethin' Else into a major content studio before its acquisition by Sony. He explains why audio and video now need to work together, why podcasting is still early in its maturity cycle, how revenue models are evolving, and what traditional TV producers can learn from the podcast ecosystem. Steve also discusses his time in the US, why the market is more entrepreneurial, and why creators need to think beyond commissioning models to build real IP value.Sign up for The Drop newsletterSupport the showEnrol on the TellyCast Digital Bootcamp Buy tickets to How to Make Money in Digital Enter the Digital Video Awards Subscribe to the TellyCast YouTube channel for exclusive TV industry videosFollow us on LinkedInConnect with Justin on LinkedINTellyCast videos on YouTubeTellyCast websiteTellyCast instaTellyCast TwitterTellyCast TikTok
Fela Kuti: Fear No Man is a 12-part podcast honoring the life and legacy of the inventor of Afrobeat, Fela Kuti. The show spotlights stories and perspectives from people highly influenced by Fela Kuti’s art and politics, including David Byrne, Brian Eno, Santigold, Questlove, Paul McCartney, and so many others. KEXP’s Roddy Nikpour spoke with the host of the podcast — someone with a very distinct flavor of storytelling — Jad Abumrad. He’s best known as the founder and original host of the public radio show, Radiolab, as well as other music-oriented podcasts like Dolly Parton's America. Abumrad is also a composer himself. “It's a really clever thing he's doing,” Abumrad says in the interview. “He moves you into a trance, wakes you up, then into politics — and then you're dancing at that point. So, your body's already in action. It's taking this political message and turning it into movement that then actually makes you want to do something.” The story of Fela Kuti goes beyond his lifetime, though. “The power of music is it'll outlive us,” Jad continues. “I think that's what Fela meant when he said ‘music is the weapon of the future.’ It's going to outlive the enemies. It will do something beyond us. And I hope he's right.” Support the show: kexp.org/deeperPhoto by: Leon MorrisSupport the show: https://www.kexp.org/sound/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Summary: In a loud online world, what does visibility with integrity really look like today for solopreneurs? When you know you need to be visible, but pushing content that feels misaligned just doesn't sit right, choosing alignment over noise is no longer optional. “Holding the microphone is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly today” After a long pause, this episode marks the beginning of a new season of The Time Is Now and a conscious reset in how I show up as a business owner, content creator, and global citizen. In this episode, I take you behind the scenes of why I stepped back from content creation and what that pause revealed about how listening—to your body, your values, and your attention—can redefine the way you grow your business. What you will learn: Why I paused—and what I focused on instead.Three lessons that shape how solopreneurs show up with integrity. What to expect from this season for you and your business. Alex and Scott were on the razors edge… will Stephen Ross screw everything up yet again? Will we keep the clown coach that Scott in particular despises? And with the balance of the future of this podcast in the wind… we got what we wished for. New hope. Sullivan wasn’t our first choice based on resume, but, we both liked him for the job. Who knows what questions were asked and what answers were given in those interviews? Honestly we would love to know. We’re good with the choice. Now, the Harbaugh firing was possibly the impetus that forced McDoofus out? Scott and Alex disagree, at least in pecking order, of who we want for our next head coach. Listen in to us examine the new GM, and address our current coaching candidates, and postulate about who else might be added to the interview list. Alex has a One Cool Thing to close out the episode (although not sure he really gets the purpose some times).

Plus, who could forget Saudi Arabia's “beautiful camel” contest? 4:15pm On Friday, President Donald Trump held a meeting from the White House with oil and gas executives—focusing on America's increased influence in Venezuela and its oil reserves following the toppling of authoritarian Nicolas Maduro. 4:30pm- Dr. Wilfred Reilly—Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University & Author of Lies My Liberal Told Me—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his artificial Christmas tree, Chef Boyardee feeding American troops during World War II, and analyze new camera footage from the shooting in Minneapolis. 5:05pm- Dr. Victoria Coates—Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation—to discuss protests in Iran and betting markets now believing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be removed from power before June 30th. She's also the author of the book: The Battle for the Jewish State: How Israel—and America—Can Win. 5:30pm- On Friday, Alpha News obtained a video taken by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer at the center of the shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis. The new footage makes clear that the ICE officer was undoubtedly in danger at the time of the shooting. In response, Vice President JD Vance reposted the video to X and wrote: “Watch this, as hard as it is. Many of you have been told this law enforcement officer wasn't hit by a car, wasn't being harassed, and murdered an innocent woman. The reality is that his life was endangered and he fired in self-defense.” 5:40pm- During a press conference, Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal referred to ICE agents as Trump's fake army and said she would arrest them for simply enforcing federal immigration law in the city. 6:05pm- During a segment on Laura Ingram's show, a woman protesting in Minneapolis bizarrely revealed that she was being paid to demonstrate! 6:15pm- While speaking with the press, Rep. The show will become a one-hour, nationally focused podcast which can be heard locally on 1210 WPHT from 6pm to 7pm!
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 4: 6:05pm- In his latest article for National Review, former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Andrew C. McCarthy explained why, legally, the immigration officer who shot a Minneapolis woman while she allegedly attempted to strike ICE officers with her car, will not be found guilty of any crime under the Fourth Amendment and the 1985 Supreme Court case Tennessee v. Gardner. 6:15pm- Gary sits on Rich's lap. To be clear, Gary is a puppy…not a person. We promise this isn't as weird as it sounds. 6:20pm- Joe in Columbus joins the show—despite being banned from the program! 6:40pm- The Eagles are favored to win their round 1 playoff game against San Francisco, Zohran Mamdani accuses ICE agents of attacking immigrants, and cell phones are now banned in New Jersey schools.
