At 4C, collaboration is our watchword. Part of the overall collaboration, is finding partners and stories from around the world to get an understanding of global best management practices. On this episode we interview Francisco Foglia, Vice President of Infrared Cameras Argentina. Francisco discusses how they built their company in a market where there wasn't an understanding of the service, which in this case was Optical Gas Imaging. Additionally, he talks about the long road to get to where they are today, and hope that in the future, there will be a regulation to govern the need to conduct leak surveys for Oil and Gas Facilities. During the interview, Francisco describes how without regulation, working with companies who understand global best management practices becomes key. In the case of Argentina, Multinational Petrochemical companies understand the need to do leak surveys (to prevent loss of resources, as well as reduce environmental impact). He states that the biggest insight he has gained has been that patience and understanding that everything has a rhythm involved to it has been key to their approach. Lastly, he describes how being a first mover is complete with both advantages and disadvantages.
