Yves Boisvert est arrivé à La Presse en 1988, Simon Drouin, lui, en 1999. Un grand nom du journalisme les unit : Pierre Foglia. Décédé à l’âge de 84 ans plus tôt cette semaine, nous avons donc invité Boisvert et Drouin à se remémorer de beaux souvenirs du géant de la chronique québécoise. Les deux se rappellent bien avoir été très impressionnés de rencontrer Foglia, déjà tellement populaire ici. Boisvert nous explique que son style unique a d’ailleurs été bâti en parti dans le cahier des sports de La Presse ! Foglia était bel et bien un amoureux de sports, que ce soit du cyclisme ou de l’athlétisme. «C’est un ami de sports, un ami pour la vie», souligne Simon Drouin, qui allait souvent faire du vélo avec le journaliste regretté. Les deux finissent en disant avec assurance : Pierre était aimé de tous, merci Pierre! Le fameux classement annuel de The Athletic, relatant les dix meilleurs contrats de la LNH, selon le modèle de Dom Luszczyszyn. Nicolas Cloutier, journaliste de TVA Sports, est en studio en compagnie de Meeker Guerrier pour expliquer les calculs derrière ce classement, où nous retrouvons en tête l’attaquant des Sénateurs d’Ottawa, Tim Stützle. Cloutier rappelle d’ailleurs que Nick Suzuki, avec ses 7,875 millions de dollars touchés annuellement, figurait dans le top 10 des PIRES classements de la LNH, selon The Athletic. Trois ans plus tard, cela n’aurait étonné personne de le voir figurer dans le bon palmarès. Selon Forbes, 11 des 20 athlètes féminines les mieux payées au monde sont des joueuses de tennis et cela, ce n’est pas passé inaperçu dans l’univers sportif! Hugues Léger, spécialiste en Marketing Sportif au Réseau Cogeco, révèle qu’avec Coco Gauff et Iga Swiatek au sommet du classement, le tennis domine plus que jamais au niveau monétaire. Elles deviennent de vraies modèles et ambassadrices pour les marques et organismes. Léger rentre en détail sur pourquoi le tennis féminin attire les annonceurs. Cerise sur le sundae, Leylah Fernandez figure au 18e rang du classement ! Notre expert en marketing sportif glisse aussi un mot sur la nouvelle entente signé aujourd’hui entre la LNH et DAZN : «Une première percée globale pour la LNH sur la planète», souligne Hugues Léger. Connaissez-vous les zyn? En avez-vous déjà testé? Il s’agit d’un sachet de nicotine, utilisé à la base pour diminuer l’usage de cigarettes. Mais pas que. Plusieurs sportifs utilisent ces sachets de façon récréative. C’est presque devenu une mode, comme nous explique Aleck Brodeur, pharmacien propriétaire, affilié à Familiprix, chez les athlètes. Brodeur est d’ailleurs un ancien joueur de football avec le Rouge et Or de l’Université de Laval. Ever see a 3D-printed part that's so tiny that it's practically invisible? NanoVoxel, a Vienna-based company specializing in two-photon polymerization (2PP) 3D-printing technology, is pushing the boundaries for how small micro-components for products can be.
