Here we learned how to introduce yourself in Medumba with Herve Charles Yondo. Vocabulary Key: Lain sam beu a ___ = My name is Lain su beu a weu? = What’s your name === He mentioned how important it is to learn Medumba. It’s a rich and well-known language, and he believes that it’s really important to learn it. There’s plenty of languages, and it’s important to integrate these languages (even though there are many) into your daily life. #Cameroon is such a linguistically diverse country, and there’s plenty of ways that parents, and even friends can help those who are willing to learn. Keep talking, and keep practicing! We’re really happy that this wonderful individual volunteered to be interviewed by us. We were interviewing in French, and if you’re interested in being interviewed (even in English) feel free to use the Anchor.fm app to contact us. Even if it’s just with your questions regarding the language, we can most likely achieve an answer to those questions and more through a follow-up episode. Also, it’s ALWAYS a pleasure hearing from you! Excuse me, can you speak Medumba? (Pardonne moi, es ce vouz pouvez parler Medumba?) I can’t. I can’t speak Medumba. (Je ne peux pas. Je ne peux pas parler Medumba) (When we write in Medumba, we can use the script, which isn’t easy to use, so you might see an extra '=' to demarque that this is the way to write it in the Medumba script) Excuse me | Nco’o - laglunfwommeu Can you speak Medumba | O lain ncob Medumba ke? Yes = A = Ŋ̀ No = Nga I, me = meu = mə You = O You can’t = O keu’ lai7n = O kə’ lɛ̌n ============= DONATING or SHARING …. are the two biggest things that you can do if you want to support and/or be involved in some way.
