Ich habe mit meiner Frau, die ein Leben lang als Krankenschwester gearbeitet hat diskutiert, wozu dieser Tag gut sein soll. Ihr fiel nichts ein. Außer, dass Frauen in ihrer Gesundheit eh benachteiligt sind durch Menstruation und Kinderkriegen und alles, was damit zusammenhängt. Dabei könnte man diesem Tag noch irgendeinen Sinn abgewinnen. Heute wird es schwieriger.Am 29. Mai ist in den USA der „Lerne-kompostieren-Tag“. In UK ist der Keks-Tag.Wieder übern Teich: heute ist dort der Büroklammertag und der „Leg ein Kissen auf den Kühlschrank Tag“. Also: Heute mache ich einen Crash Test in Kompostieren, esse jede Menge Kekse, zähle meine Büroklammern – und ich habe eine ganze Menge davon - und lege mein Kopfkissen auf den Kühlschrank. Wer denkt sich diesen Scheiß eigentlich aus – und wozu soll das gut sein? Kompostieren – eine gute Sache und wir sollten immer wieder daran erinnert werden, Dinge, die man kompostieren kann, wieder in den natürlichen Kreislauf zurückzuführen. Aber der Rest? Einfach nur Trash?Die Antwort ist einfach: Überwiegend stecken Unternehmen und PR-Agenturen dahinter: Sehr viele "Tage des..." (wie der Tag des Toilettenpapiers oder Welt-Nutella-Tag) sind geschickte Marketingkampagnen, um die Verkäufe anzukurbeln oder Aufmerksamkeit in den Medien zu generieren. Da kann man nur sagen: schön blöd, wer darauf hereinfällt. Einfach gornich ignorieren, wie der Norddeutsche sagt. Training Guidance Here is some program guidance: Choose 3 exercises each session from the main list and rotate the order each workout. Do a "to-failure" style session once per week. In the other weekly session, train at about 85% effort (higher reps, stop short of failure). Avoid going to failure in every workout to reduce the risk of injury and burnout. Keep these techniques in mind (28:00) Slight toe turnout is OK (about 10–12%), not extreme "ballet" turnout. Keep heels planted; if ankle/hip mobility is limited, elevate heels slightly until flexibility improves. For lunges, avoid letting the knee travel too far over the toes; aim for depth limited by hip flexor mobility while maintaining safer alignment. Avoid "tucking" the pelvis like a ballerina; think "sit back" with glutes engaged. Deadlift basics: push through heels, keep the bar close. It should be rubbing your quads, and hex bars can make the pattern easier to feel. Ideas for travel/mobility tips for long drives: stop often, move/stretch, consider using a yoga mat, and do a brief activity (jump rope, jumping jacks, etc.). A few of us in the shop have noticed that the required experience for drivers has been lowered in the last few years and we have all noticed the “quality” of drivers has drastically dropped. We have had upset drivers that come in yelling and screaming after getting fired or not getting their way (most of them are of the non English speaking variety). A few of us have kept pistols in our toolboxes for years. The safety department and upper management tell everyone “it's against company policy”. They are all great bosses and understand what is actually happening. They then talk for 10 minutes about the high end 1911 they keep in their desk. A couple of us have purchased the North American Arms .22 magnum, folding revolvers to pocket carry. They look like a standard pocket knife clip from 5 feet away and no one notices. The single action and 5 shot capacity is less than desirable though. We were talking and arguing over what is the best gun/holster combination that could conceal perfectly and not get caught on equipment. We are all 5'9- 6′ 1″, 160lbs to 220lbs. Not skinny, not fat. Appendix carry is not ideal. We were all thinking less than $700 total setup. The weapons will get beat up and dirty on occasion. What is your thoughts on ankle holsters? We would prefer 9mm. Would combination would you guys recommend? If no decision can be made, our young parts guy is a 21 year old virgin. He is 6′ 5″ and 350lbs. We could always have him rape the driver to death.
