Theme:This is  one of if not the most important thoughts in Scripture -it is the whole point and premise of Scripture   What is the chief end of man… -the chief end of man is to know God…to worship and enjoy Him forever

Theme: Prayer is vital, crucial, critical, imperative to kingdom ministry and the Christian life in general

finishing up end times teachings...including the infamously promised  timeline map of the end times (grin)

the Anti-Christ leads the rebellion of sinful man against God, which precipitates the second coming of Jesus to the earth to set up His kingdom  

: an in depth look at Scripture supporting the simple, undeniable Biblical truth/fact that "this same Jesus that you saw go into heaven will come back...: Acts 1:11

don't quench the Spirit in the church

: there are certain things that are God's will for each and every believer -rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in every circumstance...for this is God's will for you

: God highly values how we relate to and treat one another as fellow believers in Christ -how we watch out for one another and genuinely love one another...

: "Instructions and Exhortations for Holy Living" Theme: extremely practical instructions for Christian living -Christians are to be hard working, industrious, productive, members of society…contributing to the overall welfare and prosperity of their community

Paul moves away from the topic of end times theology for now... -closes the letter with miscellaneous instructions and exhortations for holy Christian living  

Continuing in an ends time theology focus  

an informational sermon on the coming of the Lord and we call the "rapture of the church"  

Believers are exhorted to more and more live a life pleasing the the Lord -this requires growing and going deeper in various areas of Christian knowledge and practice

believers are often exhorted in Scripture to "encourage one another" -we will take an indepth look at this topic

People are what's really important to God...people matter to God...God deeply cares for and is concerned for/about people...are we???  

There is a God ordained purpose in allowing difficulties into our lives

Theme: things we should  know that will enable us to correctly respond to the negatives of life -this week...the truth that we are more than overcomers in Christ -next week...the truth that there is a purpose in the negatives...God's go it

A life truly lived for Christ will not be an 'easy' life -we are to expect suffering, hardship, persecution, trouble, trials tribulation  -this week need to expect it...next week,,,how to properly respnd to it  

Building our lives on a solid...correct foundation: God, Christ, The Word of God, Christian virtues etc.

Paul commended the Thessalonians for "receiving and accepting" the Word of God for what it truly is...just that...the Word of God... -we will explain what it means to "receive and accept" the Word of God as the Word of God -and we will look briefly at verses supporting the uniqueness of the Word of God

: the appeal we make refers to the core components of the gospel which we are called to share with those who do not know Jesus

very similar to last week only this week is peace rather than grace -the incredible peace of God that transcends earthly distress is available to believers in Jesus Chriat

Prayer is not part of the battle armor...it is the battle strategy... -praying for all the Lord's people...other believers...one another is a vital, critical component of the battle strategy -without this we suffer tremendous casualties in spiritual warfare

The helmet of salvation protects us from the onslaught of the enemy by taking away the "fear of death" Our eternal destiny is sure because we are saved.
