Text: Acts 17:16-34 A sermon from our Sunday night series through the book of Acts
Text: Acts 1:1-11 We start our series working through the Acts of the Apostles, and we meet them in Christ's final 40 days on earth. Luke only briefly tells us that they spent those forty days learning from Christ. But what is interesting is the one recorded question they ask Jesus, "When will the kingdom of Israel be restored?" Except that he doesn't answer them. Instead, he tells them they will receive the Holy Spirit and makes it very clear that their calling will be much bigger than serving in Israel; it will be to tell the world about the kingdom.
Have you ever wondered if things in this world could be different? Have you ever muttered, "someone shourld do something about that?" We all have in various ways. When it comes to the mission of God, and his plans for this world, you were factored in and God wants you to take your place in the journey.Text: Acts 1:6-8; 2:1-13Sermon Summary:Big Idea: The church is sent out to continue God's mission.Key Question: How does the church fulfill God's mission?1. We continue the ministry of Jesus. (John 20:21)2. We make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18 – 20)3. We witness in the power of the Spirit. (Acts 1:8)

Date: January 25, 2026 Text: Acts 16:11–34 Overview: God forms His people in relationship, not isolation. From Lydia to the jailer, Acts 16 shows the church being born in unexpected places among unlikely people—yet God knits them together through the saving work of Jesus. Community is not a church strategy; it's a divine design.
Main Idea: God still answers prayer in powerful and miraculous ways—even when faith is mixed with doubt. As we conclude And All God's People Said, we witness the early church praying earnestly for Peter—and God responds with a miraculous rescue. This message reminds us that prayer is our first response, not our last resort, and that God is still in the business of setting people free.Text: Acts 12:1–17Service Time: 10:30 AMLocation: 1965 Evergreen Blvd, #200, Duluth, GA 30096Give Online: https://thebridgechurch.org/give#TheGodWhoBreaksChains #AndAllGodsPeopleSaid #AnsweredPrayer #MiracleWorkingGod #FaithOverFear #TheBridgeChurch #SundayWorship
Week 3 – The Awe of PrayerSpeaker: Pastor Antonio ThomasMain Idea: Prayer opens our eyes to the wonder, awe, and power of who God is and what He is doing. In this message from Acts 2, we see a picture of a healthy, praying church—and the result is awe, wonder, and transformed lives. Prayer doesn't just change circumstances; it changes how we see God, each other, and the world around us.Text: Acts 2:42–47Service Time: 10:30 AMLocation: 1965 Evergreen Blvd, #200, Duluth, GA 30096Give Online: https://thebridgechurch.org/give#TheAweOfPrayer #AndAllGodsPeopleSaid #WonderAndAwe #SpiritFilledChurch #PrayerLife #TheBridgeChurch #SundayLivestream
Week 2 – Praying for WisdomSpeaker: Pastor Antonio ThomasMain Idea: When God's people pray together, God provides wisdom and direction for what comes next. What do you do when you're unsure of the next step? In Week 2 of And All God's People Said, we turn to the early church in Acts and see how unified prayer brought clarity, unity, and wisdom before action. God is faithful to guide His people when they seek Him together.Text: Acts 1:14–26Service Time: 10:30 AMLocation: 1965 Evergreen Blvd, #200, Duluth, GA 30096Give Online: https://thebridgechurch.org/give#PrayingForWisdom #AndAllGodsPeopleSaid #SeekGodFirst #ChurchInPrayer #FaithInAction #TheBridgeChurch #SundayWorship

Grace & Truth: No Small Dissention Pastor Kent LandhuisTHEME: The early church established communities of grace & truth. TEXT: Acts 15TRUTH: Disputes Happen.Acts 2:42-47Acts 4:12Acts 10:44-45Acts 13:1-2, 38-39Acts 15:1-2 - Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.Acts 15:5-7 - Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses.” The apostles and elders met to consider this question. After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.GRACE: Jesus Saves.Acts 15:8-9 - God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.Acts 15:11 - We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.Acts 15:19 - It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.Galatians 1:6-7 - I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.Galatians 1:11-15Galatians 1:9 - As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God's curse! Acts 16:31 - Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and all the people in your house.Ephesians 2:8-10Acts 22:16 - And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.NEXT STEPS1. Don't fight over ridiculous things.2. Stand up for truth when it matters.3. Make room for Jesus to save anyone.

How do you make your faith in Christ practical to daily living? In what ways would the world know that you belong to Jesus? In this sermon Pastor Nick Bogardus shares that our living for Christ is also shown by the way that we live in community with one another.Text: Acts 4:32–37Sermon Summary:Big Idea: In Christ, community is the expression of our identity toward one another.Key Question: What values do a gospel community hold when Jesus—not self—is at the center?1. We share one heart and soul. (v. 32a)2. We give with open hands. (vv. 32b-35)3. We strengthen one another. (vv. 36-37)

Text: Acts 4:32–5:11; Exodus 36; Leviticus 25; Isaiah 55; John 17Title: “What Can Stop a Move of God?”When revival moves, it's not just the world that notices—hell notices too. In this message, we explore how Spirit-filled community can be corrupted from within through pride, hypocrisy, and false appearances. We look at the radical generosity of the early church and contrast it with the deception of Ananias and Sapphira. Along the way, we trace God's vision for generosity from Eden to the cross and ask hard questions about financial idolatry, spiritual performance, and carrying God's name in vain. If you've ever wondered what can stop a move of God—this message shows you how it starts…and how to stop it from happening in you.

Text: Acts 15:19-35Missions Month is a time where we revisit and remember the promise and responsibility of the Gospel in the lives of others. The Gospel is a message that is both to be modeled in lifestyle and shared with words. This month we will look at the different ways our church invests itself in missions locally and globally, and spend time growing in our understanding of missions and the Gospel.Come visit us in person! You may feel uncertain, yet deeply alive. Uncomfortable, yet aware that something is quietly unfolding. This is a liminal space, a threshold between what it was and what is yet to be. Something has ended, and the new thing isn't quite here. Waiting is purposeful with God. Text Acts 1:1-11
