Almost 8 years later we discuss what happened, how it may have been avoided, environmental issues, and question if we should continue using large scale nuclear power plants. Shane is concerned with the issue of top soil radiation and the long-term effect on the Pacific Wes questions the “green-ness” of nuclear power projects and their ultimate inherent safety issues. Dan makes comparisons the Chernobyl disaster and discusses a hypothetical Hulk vs Godzilla showdown. And we all have a hard time comprehending what a becquerel is and its proper pronunciation.

Dan rags on our societies acceptable dependency on coffee and caffeine, and reflects on his own past energy drink consumption and gambling. Wes laughs at the ethically questionable mottos of various state lotteries, then later describes the effects of recreational drug use based on his own experience. We both discuss the similarities between sugar and cocaine on the brain. And this time Shane is absent as he cares for his sick kids this week.
