Welcome back to another episode of the Industrial Tradition Podcast! Today we host our good friend Caiman, who Austin and I have know since we were young teenagers! Caiman is here to tell us about his experiences in welding, working the pipeline and how life on the road has treated him and his marriage. We hear from from Caiman about some of the different jobs he has done over the last few years and which ones were better and which ones were worse. Caiman has always been a hard worker and has never been afraid to put in the time and sweat and you can hear his commitment to his profession in this conversation! Caiman also chats about adjustments and planning and the lessons he and his wife have learned while they have been apart. Just like Austin and I, this physical separation has been a challenge and the methods that each of us are able to implement have made a big difference. So for a warm discussion with one of my favorite people on the planet, tune in!
Welcome back to another episode of the Industrial Tradition Podcast. Today on the show I am excited to talk to Brittani of Birds Caps, a stay-at-home mom, welder wife, and business owner all in one! In addition to being a mom, Brittani owns a small business making welding caps straight from her home, with her kids right in the mix of it all. She is an amazing inspiration; from being a young mom in welding school, to following her motherly intuition, Brittani believes that her decisions have led her to where she is in life today.
n this episode of the podcast we are switching things up a bit! My husband, Austin, is going to interview me today. We will be looking at my background and the time leading up to when he decided to travel and become a pipeline welder. Traveling and being a pipeline wife ultimately made me depressed. How? Why? We get into that.
Since marrying six years ago, Austin and I have had to deal with living separate on multiple occasions. It has never been more than 3 months at a time, but it has taught us a lot. I don’t know about you, but this is something that didn’t come naturally to me at all and has taken a lot of work and intentional growth to get to a place that is healthy for our relationship when living separate is necessary. With the launch of Industrial Tradition last fall we have found yourself living separate more than we like. We knew this going into it so it wasn’t a surprise, but it hasn’t been seamless. The conversation is an intimate and honest one in which we try share as much as possible about the lessons we have learned and our hopes for the future. We offer some tips for others in similar situations in the hope that it might aid you on your journey together. We touch on the importance of conversation and communication, the love languages, independence and remaining grounded and grateful. Please join us as we dive deep into our own history, present, and future!

We are diving into why she had a double mastectomy, her experience as she navigated that process, and what life looks like for her today and her plans and dreams for the future.
