When I launched the podcast, I didn't think seasons would be a thing. But as life unfolded these last few weeks, proceeding with the podcast on my own made less sense, while moving forward with Davina as co-host was what felt most in alignment. So, here we are, wrapping up Season 1! Davina and I are currently planning & scheduling Season 2 - stay tuned! Davina and I finally sat down to record the full story of our life-changing journey to Costa Rica in November of 2020, to sit with the plant medicine Ayahuasca. We dive deep into each of the 4 ceremonies, what we saw, what we felt, and most importantly what we've learned by integrating these experiences into our lives. It was a lot of fun to revisit after this much time had gone by, especially as I was about to head out into my next journey with Ayahuasca a few days later. Whether it's spending 24hrs blindfolded, tapping into intuitive light language, or living in a remote self-sufficient community in Costa Rica, Sky explores the depth of what it means to be magical humans. She is guided by this deep curiosity, a desire to let loose and have fun, and of course by facing a little bit of fear along the way. Sky's YouTube channel is one of Davina and I's favourites, especially when we are in need of a break, when we just want to chill, but also take in content that will keep us on this journey of spiritual discovery. For this conversation, I am joined by Davina, as we dive into what it means to be spiritually curious, with Sky Cowans. Before jumping into it, I want to quickly mention Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies. ACV is an ingredient that has been used for centuries as a traditional remedy for digestion, gut health, and appetite. For anyone who has tried drinking raw Apple Cider Vinegar, you can probably attest to how disgusting that process can be. Luckily, Goli has formulated a delicious recipe, making it super easy to get your daily dose of B9 & B12 vitamins, and of course Apple Cider Vinegar.

I did it! I fucking did it! What did I do? Well, for one, I recorded a solocast, a full episode all by myself, with no guest to bounce off of. I turned on the microphone, closed my eyes, and let my voice take it where it wanted to go. I also sat in ceremony with Bufo, the strongest psychedelic known to humans. In 24hrs, I've faced two of my fears, and it feels so good! In this episode, I give a little update on the podcast, as well as something new in my life, and I share my Bufo experience with Karina and Niko of Plugin Mind. Alvey Thompson is a high performance coach who helps his clients achieve optimal mental, emotional, and physical health. He recently published his first book, You Can 2, which beautifully reflects on all of the life lessons he has learned from his relationship with his mother, and her untimely death. I earmarked almost every other page in the book, and wrote up a long list of talking points for our recording. From time management, to the way we speak to ourselves, there are so many golden nuggets in this episode.

When my dear friend Cat said she would be traveling through our home town of Samara, shortly after sitting in ceremony with Ayahuasca, I jumped at the opportunity to invite her onto the podcast to debrief and share her story. Cat shares her beautiful healing journey, how she reclaiming the relationship with her body, and a vision of the dream she is calling into this world. For those less familiar, Ayahuasca is an ancient psychoactive brew that has been used for at least 1,000 years by the native people of Central and South America. It's brewed by using a combination of two different plants: Chacruna, which contains DMT, and the Caapi vine, which contains the MAOI inhibitors, allowing the DMT to have a lasting effect when consumed orally. Ayahuasca is typically experienced in a ceremonial setting, with a Shaman to hold space, and move the energetic flows. While Ayahusca, or psychedelics in general, isn't for everyone, it can be a powerful tool on the spiritual journey, that can help heal deeply stored trauma, and allow us to establish a deeper connection with the divine. Before Davina and I sat in our first ceremony in November 2020, we became fascinated with hearing other people's stories. There was something truly magical about them, that made us believe that there is so much more to being human, and where we come from. We have yet to share the entire thing, but I promise it's in the schedule for the podcast! As something that deeply resonates for me, I hope to make this into an ongoing series that will be part of the Journey Podcast. I hope you enjoy this first Ayahusca Story! --- Connect with Cat: IG: http://instagram.com/catnisscaro Web: https://linktr.ee/becomingwhoineeded

John Downs is one of the most badass people I know. During the Fit For Service summit in Austin, we both took part in the Elemental games, where 5 teams competed in a series of physical and mental challenges, with the goal to create a healthy relationship within ourselves around competition. I witnessed John hold 10lbs weights with his arms stretched out for minutes on end, while doing the breath of fire, in a tie breaker that would decide the fate of the final two teams left standing. I also saw John go out of his to sit with me in the sand when I faced my resistance to divine brotherhood during a sunrise men's circle in Costa Rica. John is a warrior with the gentlest of hearts. In this episode, we chat about his recent experience co-facilitating a men's retreat, we explore the power of ceremony, and we dive into his wealth of knowledge in the psychedelic space. A quick note before we start. I generally start the podcast as soon as I connect with my guest on Zoom, but this time, John and I got carried away catching up and talking about Harry Potter, among other things. I've left that part out, but as a result, the podcast has a little bit of a jump at the beginning, which you'll have to forgive me for. Having said that, I hope you enjoy this conversation with John Robert Downs! _____ Connect with John: IG: http://instagram.com/johnrobertdowns Web: http://johnrobertdowns.com

This week, I have the privilege of chatting with Caitlyn Howe, one of the incredible coaches at Fit For Service. As I was preparing this introduction, I started reviewing all of the notes I've written down during the group coaching she's led. There are so many beautiful insights I could revisit that would serve that purpose, but simply put, Caitlyn has been my guiding light for how to live in deeper harmony with our divinity. In this episode, we dive into rituals and practices, what they are, why they are so important, and how we can all bring more of them into our lives. We explore joy, anger, nervousness which can also be the other side of excitement, sadness, and the non-literal death of self. Caitlyn's guided meditations were one of my favourite parts of FFS, often making the unconscious conscious for me, so I asked Caitlyn to do a short guided meditation at the very end of our conversation - you'll want to make sure you listen all the way through! If you have been enjoying the conversations, please take a moment to rate and review the Journey Podcast on Apple, Google, Youtube, Spotify, or wherever else you have been listening. I'm not an expert, but I keep hearing that it's one of the most effective tools for growth on these platforms, so I will be incredibly grateful if you are able to help me on this journey I'm on with this podcast! This week I have a very special guest… For those less familiar with the story of D+D, Davina and I met 15 years ago, in our early twenties, travelled the world photographing weddings, started a photo post-production studio that grew bigger than our wildest dreams, and had two little ones, Max & Charlie. We have done everything side by side, and although it hasn't always been the easiest, it has forced us to grow so much, and come to a place of radical honesty with one another. Our spiritual journeys are immensely intertwined, in the most beautiful of ways. With our recent move from Canada to Costa Rica, we decided to sit down and reflect on the path that got us here, and some of the personal, inner struggles currently taking up space. --- Connect with Davina: IG: @davinakudish http://davinapalik.com --- This episode is brought to you by: Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies. There is just something about Rohini that makes you feel so comfortable, allows you to shed your walls, and put your guard down. Thank you so much for being here for episode number two! This week I sit down with Juliet Root, a transformative coach who helps her clients navigate their relationship with food, and transform their lives from the inside out. Juliet and I talk about her own journey, following her curiosity to discover the link between trauma, feelings, nutrition, and fitness, and how to bring more awareness into our day to day lives. A quick note that right around the 30 minutes mark, the oh-so-reliable Costa Rican power grid (just kidding) decide to cut out, and as a result Juliet and I resumed our conversation only a couple of days later. It makes for a slightly awkward pause, but the conversation picks right up on the other side! --- Connect with Juliet: Rooted Power The Woo Cast (podcast) Instagram

For my inaugural episode, I sit down with life coach Dave Moss. Dave was one of the first people I reached out to when I started to seek a change in my life, so it only made sense to have him on as my first guest. Dave and I talk about his transition from wedding photographer to life coach, and how he approaches this important work with clients. We also share how our recent moves closer to nature are having an impact on our lives; and we exchange anecdotes on microdosing psylocibin, a tool that is rapidly gaining momentum in the western world. As I listen back on this first episode, I feel that I could've opened up more with stories of my own, and not stuck so much to the role of interviewer. I'm grateful that this made it into my awareness, so that I can adjust for future interviews. Having said that, I hope you enjoy this conversation with Dave Moss! ----- Connect with Dave: Visit Dave Moss Coaching Follow Dave Moss on IG

I thought a good place to start would be to share how my spiritual journey started (aside from being a part of the universe, being born into this body, etc...), and has led me to start this podcast. With much love, Daniel.
