The myth of genetic determinism: genes are not destiny and can be influenced by environment, emotions, and beliefs. Scientific studies prove how trauma and emotional experiences can be passed down through generations. The concept of learned helplessness is where individuals feel stuck due to societal programming and limiting beliefs about healing and personal change. Quantum entanglement and how personal healing can ripple through past and future generations. The four pillars of the L.I.F.E. Method: Liberation (uncovering hidden patterns), Integration (using breathwork and somatic tools), Frequency Upgrade (regulating the nervous system), and Embodiment (anchoring new behaviors and boundaries). [05:45] It's Your Responsibility to Heal Emotional epigenetics is likened to tending a garden, where inherited genes are seeds and the environment and choices are the nourishment. While inherited pain is not one's fault, it is each person's responsibility to heal and prevent passing trauma to future generations. How the L.I.F.E. Method program accelerates participants to pull out inherited emotional 'weeds' and rewire their nervous system. Emotional healing is not just biological but also spiritual, involving energy in motion (emotion) and the quantum field. Daily practices of emotional integration and inventory, and the importance of unconditional love and acceptance from all spiritual traditions. How healing oneself contributes to healing past and future generations. Leave Wellness + Wisdom a Review on Apple Podcasts A fully legal psychedelic microdose? YES! When it comes our most divisive political, economic and social issues there is a fracture between the views of the old and the young. As older generations continue to monopolise wealth and how policy is shaped, younger generations are becoming more and more disenfranchised. The inequality and anger between generations is growing, and it might just be the biggest threat to our democracy. In a world going to be inherited by younger generations, UK academic David Runciman says we hardly ask children about their political views. Perhaps the solution is giving children the right to vote – an audacious plan that might just rescue democracy. David Runciman is Professor of Politics at the University of Cambridge and was Head of the Department of Politics and International Studies from 2014-2018. He is the author of many books, including The Confidence Trap, How Democracy Ends, Confronting Leviathan and The Handover. His most recent book is The History of Ideas: Equality, Justice and Revolution, based on his popular podcast series Talking Politics. He currently hosts the podcast Past Present Future. He is a contributing editor at the London Review of Books, where he has written widely about contemporary politics. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and of the Royal Society of Literature.

Get ready to be encouraged to live fully for Him today! Tune in!
On this week's episode, we had a great chat with Kevin Tolan, better known to most as Red, about Balbriggan's history as a town. From humble beginnings to an ongoing population boom & where it all could be going, we discussed it all.
Hey everyone! Welcome back to the "Past. Present. Future." series. This is message #2, titled "Embracing the Moment". If you caught the last one, we talked about moving past our past. This time, Pastor Lee Lukinovich is helping us focus on the present. So, how do we really live fully in the moment God has given us? Jesus gives us the key in Matthew 6:33-34: Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. But what does "seek first" even mean? Pastor Lee unpacks that it's about having a passionate pursuit, a real desire, a holy hunger for God's rule and for becoming more like Him. It's not a fearful search, but more like the excitement you'd have looking for something precious. This spiritual hunger is actually a good sign that you're spiritually alive and growing. Being lukewarm or lacking hunger can signal a lack of spiritual life. Seeking God's "kingdom" means surrendering your own will and letting His rule and reign influence every part of your life – like your job, family, schedule, finances, and even your body. Seeking His "righteousness" is passionately pursuing His nature and character, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform you to be more like Him. The Bible promises that if you hunger and thirst for righteousness, you will be filled.Pastor Lee shares how living this out personally helps him deal with his own fears about the future. By embracing the moment with Jesus and getting honest about where he's at, God can gently reveal areas where more faith is needed and call him higher. Being faithful right now, seeking God first, is the way to find peace about tomorrow. What you do today truly impacts tomorrow, whether good or bad. It's about having that confidence, knowing you are actively seeking God first in your life .Tune in to hear more about putting this principle into practice to truly embrace the moment you're in and trust God with what's next!
Hey there! Get ready for message #2 in our "Past. Present. Future." series, titled "Embracing the Moment", from Pastor Cliff Lodriguss. In this episode, Pastor Cliff gets super real about the daily stress we all face, sharing stories from the joyful (like his son David's birth) to the not-so-joyful (think car transmission going out and a leaking water heater!). He talks about how finding simple moments to just be present, like an unexpected trip to Home Depot with his son Caleb, can totally shift your perspective and help you stop stressing about what already happened or what's coming next week. This message dives into Jesus' words in Matthew 6:33-34, reminding us to not worry about tomorrow because today has enough going on already. But how do you actually live that out? Pastor Cliff breaks down what it means to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. He explains "seeking first" isn't out of fear, but an excited, passionate pursuit of Jesus because He's incredibly valuable. "His kingdom" is about embracing His perfect rule and leadership – something we should actually relish being under, contrasting with our natural desire for independence. And "His righteousness" means learning His amazing character and nature relationally, like learning from an earthly father, which changes how we live. The awesome result? When you make God the priority, He promises that "all these things" – your provision and security – will be added. Pastor Cliff uses the relatable picture of kids not worrying about bills or food because they just trust their parents, saying we can trust our perfect Heavenly Father even more. As Psalm 37:25 says, he's never seen those who follow God left without. This peace and provision are for those who are part of God's family through the blood of Jesus. Pastor Cliff encourages listeners to remember who their Father is when worry hits, do what they know is right, and stand on the truth that He's got you.Ready to learn how to embrace the moment and trust God with your past, present, and future? Hit play and tune in!
In the future-oriented discipline of urban planning, the influence of the past on current decisions is chronically underrepresented. Yet, time plays a key role. The analysis of social phenomena and their transformation provides a structural perspective on urban space in temporal terms. There is a strong connection between today's approach to planning and the evolution of planning as a discipline, and this connection influences our decisions for the future. In this episode, Johannes Suitner introduces us to his research on Vienna's planning history to offer a temporal perspective of the planning phases of the city and how they brought to what it is today. You can find the blog What/Next at www.planung-neu-denken.deSound pack credits: josefpres (https://freesound.org/people/josefpres/ )You can find this pack online at: https://freesound.org/people/josefpres/packs/36680/

Today's great political film is Chantal Akerman's Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (1975), voted the greatest film of all time in the 2022 Sight and Sound poll. A classic of feminist cinema it is also a film about the meaning of time and the illusions of choice. How can a movie which shows a woman peeling potatoes in real time have you on the edge of your seat? If the personal is the political, what do three days in the life of a Belgian housewife tell us about the true nature of power? Coming this weekend on PPF+: two new bonus episodes to accompany this series: Shoah part one and Shoah part two, exploring Claude Lanzmann's path-breaking, harrowing, unforgettable 9-hour documentary about the Holocaust. To finish this series of bad ideas, David tries to persuade Gary Gerstle of the futility of televised leadership debates. From Nixon vs Kennedy to Harris vs Trump, do the voters really learn anything from these supposed exchanges of ideas? Are they ever much more than a competition to avoid gaffes? And what did British politics gain when it introduced prime ministerial election debates (apart from a brief attack of Cleggmania)? A new bonus bad idea is available to accompany this series: David talks to Lucia Rubinelli about what's wrong with the idea of sovereignty. Today's bad idea is about how ideas get adopted, argued over and rejected: David talks to political philosopher Alan Finlayson about what's wrong with seeing this as a competitive marketplace. From St. Paul to Citizens United, from John Stuart Mill to Jordan Peterson, what happens when ideas get turned into commodities? Who wins and who loses? And what is an ‘ideological entrepreneur'?
