Northwestern State Demons (26-24) at LSU Fighting Tigers (32-19)

Baton Rouge, La.  –  The LSU track and field program remains as the No. 1 team in the country on both the women's and men's side in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Rating that was released Monday morning (May 17).

BATON ROUGE – LSU gymnastics head coach Jay Clark announced that seniors Reagan Campbell, Bridget Dean, Sami Durante, Christina Desiderio and Sarah Edwards will return to compete for a fifth season.

Tallahassee, Fla. – A 3-over 291 has the No. 23 LSU men's golf team in a tie for 10th after 18 holes of play at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

LSU junior leftfielder Gavin Dugas was named by the Southeastern Conference Monday as the SEC Co-Player of the Week. Dugas shared the honor with outfielder Andrew Eyster of South Carolina.

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Tiger softball team is back in the NCAA Tournament for the 15th straight time as they were named to the 64-team field announced Sunday evening on ESPN2.

Baton Rouge, La. – The LSU men's golf team has made the trip to the Tallahassee, Florida, and will begin play on Monday at one of six regionals around the country with plans of advancing to the NCAA Championship. The NCAA Tallahassee Regional will be hosted at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

Senior right-hander Ma'Khail Hilliard earned his fifth win in five decisions Sunday, and centerfielder Giovanni DiGiacomo homered twice to lead LSU to a 13-5 win over Alabama in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Baton Rouge, La. – LSU sprinter Terrance Laird won the Commissioner's Trophy on Saturday after the conclusion of the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The trophy is given to the individual who scores the most points at the conference meet.

The LSU Tigers completed their first postseason meet of the outdoor season, finishing with nine total event winners at the SEC Championships at the E.B. Cushing Stadium.  The women's team placed second overall and finished with a total of 120.5 points while the men's squad scored 108 points to finish in third place.

Alabama first baseman Zane Denton and catcher Sam Praytor combined for five hits and four RBI Saturday to lead the Crimson Tide to a 6-5 win over LSU in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

College Station, Texas  –  JuVaughn Harrison won the high jump title with the one of the most impressive performances in collegiate history, and freshman Emma Robbins made history as she claimed the women's hammer throw title to highlight day two of action at the SEC Outdoor Championships at E.B. Cushing Stadium.

LSU pitchers Landon Marceaux and Devin Fontenot combined to limited Alabama to one run Friday night as the Tigers edged the Crimson Tide, 2-1, in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

BATON ROUGE – LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey will be enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

LSU Tiger Tracks, a program highlighting various aspects of the university and its athletics department, can be seen at 7 p.m. CT Wednesday on Cox Sports Television. Replays of the show will air at 12 p.m. CT Thursday and at 6:30 p.m. CT Friday.

Birmingham, Ala. – The No. 23 LSU men's golf team fired its best round of the tournament, a 4-over 288, on Wednesday to wrap things up at the Country Club of Birmingham Invitational. The Tigers moved up four spots in the team standing to finish seventh overall at 22-over 874 (292-294-288).

Baton Rouge, La. – The No. 4 LSU women's golf team won the LSU Tiger Golf Classic with a 54-hole score of 12-under 852, Wednesday at the University Club Golf Course.

BATON ROUGE - Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss claimed CCSA Beach Pair of the Week on Wednesday after improving to 22-0 on the season over the weekend in Los Angeles against some of the other premier pairs in the country at UCLA and USC.
