Hosts Brad Fowler and Alex Higdon break down all the biggest storylines from around the NFL and College Football — from massive playoff implications to a shifting Super Bowl picture and a loaded CFP first round slate. We cover — the Broncos making a statement win over the Packers and why Denver suddenly looks like a legitimate Super Bowl favorite in the AFC. Bo Nix delivers his best performance of the season, the offense finds balance, and the defense remains elite as questions about Denver’s ceiling are officially answered. On the other side, the Packers’ season takes a dramatic turn as injuries pile up, including Micah Parsons, leaving Green Bay limping toward the playoffs and no longer looking like a true contender. Plus — the Chiefs dynasty over? Kansas City falls again as the offense continues to look broken, and we dive into what the future holds for Patrick Mahomes, potential roster turnover, and why this feels like a rebuild rather than a reboot. Meanwhile, Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers keep finding ways to win despite major offensive line issues, showing just how much coaching still matters in the NFL. We also break down Josh Allen once again putting the cape on as the Bills storm back from down 21–0 against the Patriots. While Allen has carried Buffalo over the past month, major concerns remain about the Bills’ defense and their ability to survive in the playoffs. On the New England side, we discuss how quickly the Patriots have closed the gap under Vrabel and McDaniels, Drake Maye’s growth, and why this team feels ahead of schedule. In other NFL action, the Rams continue to look like a Super Bowl-caliber team as Matthew Stafford plays at an MVP level and the run game surges late in the season. We ask whether the Lions have ruined their playoff hopes, why Detroit’s defense remains a glaring issue, and how dangerous Los Angeles could be down the stretch.  In College Football, we make our picks for the CFP first round — breaking down Alabama vs Oklahoma, Texas A&M vs Miami, Ole Miss vs Tulane, and James Madison at Oregon. We dive into key matchups in the trenches, quarterback play, roster mismatches, and why some of these games may not be as close as they look on paper. Plus — NFL Game Balls, and more.

The university last week issued a request for proposal for a mixed-use development around the stadium similar in concept to The Battery Atlanta. The Battery surrounds Truist Park, the home of MLB's Atlanta Braves. The Ole Miss iteration would feature retail, restaurants, office space, a hotel and even condos. Carter said the Rebels are exploring refurbishments to the stadium itself as well.Carter joined the Ole Miss Spirit's Brad Logan for an extensive interview. Carter also touched on the SEC going to nine conference games in football, opening 2026 against Louisville, the hiring of Pete Golding and much, much more. Our Sponsors:* Check out FRE and use my code LISTEN20 for a great deal: https://frepouch.com* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

In the “Pete Rose episode,” Dan Fox and Frank Knight open with baseball—and the conversation turns quickly into a full-on Mets identity check. With Pete Alonso gone, Nimmo traded for Marcus Semien, and Edwin Díaz landing with the Dodgers, Frank tries to keep the panic in check: it's “wait-and-see” season in Queens. The guys debate whether this is a strategic reset or the start of a rebuild, whether committee platoons (including Jeff McNeil) can really work, and whether the Mets should push hard for Juan Soto now or wait for free agency—assuming Uncle Stevie's wallet stays open.Over in Philly, Dan reacts to the Phillies bringing back Kyle Schwarber on a five-year deal, weighing the short-term upside (power, leadership, clubhouse presence) against the long-term risk of paying for past performance. Alan checks in on the Yankees' unusually quiet offseason, including the debate around keeping Cody Bellinger—a versatile glove with a left-handed swing made for the short porch. Then it's college football mayhem: Penn State's coaching change, Ole Miss fallout, Lane Kiffin's “big-leagues vs. king-of-the-program” decision, and the Michigan scandal that has everyone asking what the program does next. The crew also takes a hard shot at Notre Dame's independence, arguing you can't complain about playoff politics while refusing to join a conference. Finally, the episode closes with Fox Brothers Alarms, the empty inbox (again), a Survivor Pool update that now includes a Week 18 tiebreaker plan, and a pivot into the Week 14 NFL recap—anchored by a quick historical nod to December 7th as “a day that will live in infamy.”Special Thanks to:Fox Brothers Alarms - https://foxbrothersalarms.comFirst Baptist church of Phillipsburg NJ http://www.fbcpburg.org/Roof Top Innovations the leading Roofing Company in Waco, Tomball surrounding areasWe focus on all types of roofing systems, with a focus on the best quality possible.

As a result, he's been tasked with preparing Ole Miss for the College Football Playoff, all while recruiting, building out his staff and preparing for the transfer portal opening in January. Golding will eventually have to find long-term solutions for wide receivers coach, tight ends coach, linebackers coach and likely running backs coach — assuming Kevin Smith, as expected, leaves following the playoff run. Bradley Sowell, though, agrees with Golding's approach, which is focusing exclusively on the title run. On this week of the HowToBBQRight Podcast, we kick things off and set the tone for a food-filled holiday conversation (00:00). I'm finally coming around to the Christmas spirit (01:09)... We debate whether Christmas is really Malcom Reed's favorite holiday or if another one still holds the top spot (06:45). The conversation turns to wild game as we discuss how we've been using Malcom's elk meat and the different ways it's been showing up on our table (08:01). Holiday appetizer talk heats up as we talk about whether spinach dip should be served hot or cold at Christmas parties (12:30). We compare classic tailgating foods to traditional Christmas foods and decide where the line really is between the two (15:51). Sports news sneaks in with a discussion about Ole Miss's head coach leaving and what that means to Malcom (17:30). I think that Blue Plate deserves their very own Mayo Bowl, and why it just makes sense (18:12). Things get fun when we break down the BEST Christmas appetizers according to ChatGPT and see how they stack up to real-life favorites (20:56). A surprisingly heated debate follows over whether deviled eggs belong at the dinner table or are strictly party food (24:00). Malcom confesses to stealing a top-secret monkey bread recipe that's perfect for the holidays (31:32). We share our favorite Christmas desserts and what absolutely has to be on the table every year (33:05). Malcom thinks butter boards are "fat boy food", and here's why (35:40). We reveal the BEST place to get smoked sausage and what makes it stand out from the rest (38:50). Malcom walks through his guide to making homemade summer sausage and why it's worth doing yourself (41:00). I share a simple but genius hack I learned to keep your limes fresh forever (47:29). Hosting challenges come up as we explain how to host a vegetarian at Christmas without making it awkward or stressful (49:39). We talk about turning uncured ham into pulled pork and why you may just want to go with a pork butt instead (51:45). A member of the community made Touchdown Taters but made them breakfast-ready (53:47). We break down the best way to monitor meat and debate wired versus wireless thermometers for BBQ and holiday cooks alike (57:51). The Pick'em League update gives a rundown of where things stand and who's bragging this week (1:01:31). We highlight the Let's Get to Cookin' Community Giveaway Week 3 and how listeners can get involved (1:04:40). We wrap everything up and close out the episode with a classic HowToBBQRight sendoff (1:07:46).

Hosts Brad Fowler and Alex Higdon break down all the biggest storylines from Week 14 in the NFL and the final College Football Playoff rankings — and why the committee may have botched the bracket worse than ever before. We cover — the Chiefs suffering another crushing loss, this time to the Texans, putting Kansas City officially on the ropes with barely a 15% chance to reach the postseason. Mahomes and the offense continue to stall while the defense keeps this team afloat, and we break down why KC may need to win out just to have a shot. The Eagles drop their third straight in a fist-fight loss to the Chargers as Jalen Hurts turns it over five times and Philly searches for answers. The Packers get a huge win over the rival Bears, but Chicago impresses even in defeat as Caleb Williams flashes star-level talent while Green Bay continues to look like a real Super Bowl contender. Plus — Josh Allen puts on the cape yet again as the Bills rally late to beat the Bengals, even as Buffalo’s defense continues to be a major liability. The Lions beat the Cowboys but Detroit’s defense remains a glaring issue, Dallas continues to slide out of the playoff picture, and we debate just how real either of these teams is in December. And is Shedeur Sanders the Browns' QB of the future? After throwing for 364 yards and three touchdowns, the conversation is heating up. In College Football, the CFP Rankings were a complete mess — maybe the worst we’ve ever seen. Alabama and BYU got blown out in their conference title games, opening the door for both Notre Dame and Miami, but the committee punished one loss and ignored the other. Tulane and JMU somehow land in the field despite résumé gaps that make no sense, the ACC’s disastrous tiebreaker system led to a 7–5 Duke team in the title game, and for the first time, Notre Dame appears to have been punished for not playing in a conference. We break down why the system is broken, why G5 auto-bids are tanking the bracket, and what big changes could (and should) be coming after this season. We also reveal our CFP Top 12 — including why Ole Miss shouldn’t be in, why BYU sneaks in despite the loss, and why coaching matters as much as résumé. Plus — This week’s CFB Helmet Stickers and NFL Game Balls
