No. 7 Ole Miss improved to 8-1 (5-1 SEC) on the season with a 30-14 win over South Carolina (3-6, 1-6) on Saturday. The Rebels have three games remaining in the 2025-26 season and as they continue their fierce push for a College Football Playoff berth. All the while, Lane Kiffin continues to dominate coaching carousel rumors. In the end, if Ole Miss keeps taking care of its business, all that noise will take care of itself. The Ole Miss Spirit's Ben Garrett and Brad Logan are LIVE after the win and Kiffin's postgame press conference. Suntarine Perkins had his best game of the season and one of the best of his Ole Miss career. to lead helmet stickers. Plus, Ben and Brad go around the SEC. Mississippi State got its first win in nearly 20 SEC games, while Auburn lost at Kentucky. Hugh Freeze is likely toast. Kiffin flirted heavily with the Tigers in 2022. But, so far, the Rebels are showing no signs of a repeating history. While those Rebels lost four of their last five, Ole Miss has won back-to-back games (and its first of November) following the Rebels' only loss of the season at Georgia. Dan's “demon” costume sets the stage for a serious warning: Americans may not be able to vote freely in 2026. Brad argues that authoritarian tactics and election interference are accelerating, pointing to SNAP benefit cuts, ACA premium hikes, and the creation of a National Guard “quick reaction force” as tools of social control. The hosts connect these developments to historical examples of militarized regimes and discuss how Trump loyalists embedding on military bases signal deeper threats to democracy. They also turn their attention to JD Vance's recent appearances at Ole Miss and Turning Point USA, where his rhetoric blends Christian nationalism, white supremacy, and populist theater. From his calls to teach Christianity in schools to his public remarks about his Hindu wife, Vance uses religion as a political weapon while appealing to the MAGA base. Yet amid the darkness, Brad and Dan highlight reasons for hope, including legal and judicial pushback against extreme policies and bipartisan resistance in the Senate. Lane Kiffin is the hottest name in what is already one of the wildest coaching carousels in college football history. But Tony ‘Mr. College Football' Barnhart wouldn't be surprised to see Kiffin stick around at Ole Miss. Kiffin, the fastest Ole Miss coach to 50 wins in history, is a leading candidate for openings at both Florida and LSU. Sources indicate Florida is far and away the biggest threat of the two. Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz is the betting favorite for the Florida job, according to Bet Online. Tulane's Jon Sumrall is the betting favorite for LSU.However, Barnhart told Ole Miss Spirit contributor Brad Logan that Kiffin's decision may be tougher than most realize given the unique situation he's built in Oxford.No. 7 Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1 SEC) hosts South Carolina (3-5, 1-5) Saturday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. GoVols247's Patrick Brown and Ryan Callahan preview Tennessee's crunch matchup with Oklahoma at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night. First we recap the first SEC availability report with the latest injury updates on Colton Hood, Arion Carter and Jermod McCoy. Then we discuss the state of Tennessee's defense and why the Vols have regressed so far this season? We look at the numbers that have dropped off from last season and try to pinpoint a reason why Tennessee has struggled. Can the defense be fixed in-season? Next, we looked at the matchup with the Sooners, who have lost two of their past three games. Oklahoma is led by an elite defense, but one that gave up a lot of yards and points to Ole Miss last week. And what do we make of QB John Mateer's recent struggles? Finally we touched on some Tennessee recruiting news, including a recent decommitment and the visitors to know on a big recruiting weekend. In this edition of Talk of Champions, powered by RiverLand Roofing, Ben Garrett of the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 is joined by Rebel football legend Chris Spencer. Spencer is now the founder and CEO of TeamQ, a performance intelligence tool created to analyze the ‘intangible' qualities of athletes, such as their coachability, communication style and resilience. He also hosts the Intangible Podcast.Spencer is a M-Club Hall of Famer and former three-year starter for the Ole Miss offensive line. He mostly started at center and contributed to a pair of bowl wins — the 2022 Independence Bowl and the 2004 Cotton Bowl. The Rebels in 2003 finished 10-3 and set school records in 11 offensive categories. Spencer was first-team All-SEC. But he does want to correct the record on the lineman that stepped on Eli Manning's foot in the Rebels' only SEC loss to rival LSU. Now he's pouring into his alma mater through TeamQ and much, much more. He remains active as a forever Ole Miss Rebel and believes in what Lane Kiffin and Co. have built over six years. Our Sponsors:* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Scott Rizzuto, Anthony Stalter, and Tim McKernan limp into The Spread Zone after another brutal betting week—but the crew is fired up to bounce back for College Football Week 10 and NFL Week 9. The guys dissect tough beats, missed lines, and the soul-crushing Falcons-Dolphins under… then get aggressive with a fresh card. In CFB, the trio doubles down on Mississippi State again, rides with Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Michigan, and throws sharp plays on Cincinnati, Duke, and even Vanderbilt (+1.5 vs. Texas). On the NFL side, they mix it up with unders, overs, and heated disagreements—Rizz backs the Pats, Tim's fading that with the Falcons, and Anthony drops a Bears bet with disgust. FanDuel Locks of the Week are in: Ohio State -20.5, Texas Tech -7, and Seahawks -3.5. It's high risk, high chaos, and one of them is all in on the Red Raiders' playoff run.The Spread Zone is presented by FanDuel Sportsbook.*LEGAL DISCLAIMER*We provide information about sports betting for entertainment purposes only.
