For much of the day Saturday, Texas A&M appeared to be on a collision course with hiring Mark Stoops of Kentucky as its next coach. The Wildcats upset Louisville early in the afternoon, then the Aggies lost to LSU, and then the deck of the aircraft carrier was cleared for athletic director Ross Bjork to bring Stoops to College Station. This was so far down the road that sources that Stoops was telling some staff members, friends and boosters Saturday night he was leaving for College Station. The Florida State Seminoles extended their overall winning streak to 16 games with a 27-20 victory over the Miami Hurricanes. It was their third consecutive win over the Canes. State loses 51-10 at A&M; Men's basketball moves to 2-0
