Not that good. Really not that good. Not good at all. Pretty much just bad. This pile of cinematic dog crap would give David Gordon Green a erection, as it is shot in professional quality, but is poorly written, has no story, offers no payoff in the end, and wastes time with a lot of time jumping scenes that ultimately go no where and mean nothing. This one felt like the plug was pulled on it mid-production. The lesson to be learned here: Just because something becomes public domain, that doesn't mean it will make a great horror movie topic.
Mike and Mike are watching John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness. Not as good as Halloween, but still a decent watch. Dr. Loomis is now a deranged priest trying to help a group of college students stop Satan's return from mirror land. Maybe the best part was seeing old Donald chop off an innocent woman's arm and head, before pushing another innocent woman into hell and throwing an axe like an absolute pro.
Mike an Mike are watching The Monster Squad. Even though the story is goofy and the plot is virtually nonexistent, it is still a fun movie that brings generic versions of the Universal Monsters together for a campy, family friendly 80s movie.
Mike and Mike are watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? Specifically, they are watching Season 2 Episode 9, which features Nosferatu the vampire terrorizing movie theater employees while the infamous Dr. Vink cackles like a turkey. Enjoy a short episode, as the next one will be another full length movie.
This week, Mike and Mike sit down and talk about their own personal experiences with ghosts and the paranormal. They talk about the various haunted houses in which they've lived, the ghosts that they have encountered, the the overall strange shit they've seen that has turned them into the very normal people they are today.
Merry New Year and Happy Christmas horror fans. For the holiday season, Mike and Mike were unfortunate enough to watch this movie. A murderous, trans-gender Santa Clause roams a neighborhood of unskilled actors having sex on Christmas Eve, and proceeds to cut off every penis he/she can find...at least now that the holidays are over, the guys can go back to choosing any movie they want. Keep an ear out for some discussions and shorter episodes, as well as some much better movies.
An alien creature crash lands in a toy store on Black Friday and begins turning the shoppers into killer zombies while a small group of employees try to survive, before confronting a godzilla sized turkey monster...Not Mike and Mike's finest moment, but not the worst movie ever. Bruce Campbell and a few good chuckles make about 29 seconds of this movie worth watching...almost.
Mike and Mike are watching John Carpenter's The Thing. They'd make fun of it if they could but its a quite a good movie. They've decided that they are going to take turns choosing movies each week. This week was Mike's turn, which means Mike will pick next week, and then Mike will pick the week after that and so on...
Because it's almost Halloween, and the guys have already done a 2nd viewing of Halloween 2018, they have decided to once again watch Halloween Kills. Everyone can let out a sigh of relief, as Mike and Mike will definitely NOT being doing a re-watch of Halloween Ends. There is only so much crappy cinema that 2 guys can take.
The guys are back with a vengeance, and watching a modern horror movie that is sort of a fun combination of Phonebooth and Scream, with a little slender man thrown in. Not THE SlenderMan - just a man who happens to be a little on the slender side. Now that the guys are back, be on the lookout for new episodes on a more frequent schedule.
This week, the guys are watching the remake of House on Haunted Hill. It is nowhere near as good as the original, but its still a fun movie. To make it even better, Mike and Mike are watching it on VHS...on a 25 year old vcr/tv combo. Let the technical problems commence!
In the spirit of full disclosure, the first 4 minutes of this episode are of Mike and Mike digging through old Halloween candy in another room. We could easily edit this out, but the guys believe that moments like this are what allow the audience to catch a fleeting glimpse into the subtle sophistication that defines the hosts of Monday Night Horror. Anyway, Mike and Mike are watching the 90s version of the classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which is just titled Body Snatchers. Don't fall asleep, or an alien pod might spaghetti the human juice out of you and leave you an empty husk with yesterdays trash.
Have you ever been killed by an angry pilgrim? Have you ever had someone killing you with such intensity that you thought "wow, they must have been an angry pilgrim in a former life"? Regardless, Mike and Mike are watching Thanksgiving. In this fun, holiday slasher, the folks of Plymouth get their holiday butchered by none other than an angry pilgrim. Whatdya got to say about that, Pilgrim?
Unlike his Halloween trilogy, which started strong and then rapidly declined, David Gordon Green decided to start his exorcist trilogy in the septic tank, so he'd have nowhere to go but up. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for us, he was fired after making this bland, boring, generic exorcism movie, so we will never have to see another DGG Exorcist. The title Believer is certainly true. After watching this, you'll be a believer. You'll believe that the original Exorcist is the only movie in franchise worth watching. You'll believe that the director was justly removed from the project. And you'll believe that even the most mind numbing movies are better when you watch along with your pals Mike and Mike.
6 Months later - The guys have finally worked up the stomach to watch the rest of Halloween Ends. Do you know how people say that something is like watching a car accident - it is so bad that you can't look away? Well this movie is similar to that. This is like Mike and Mike are trying to watch a car accident, but they can't because they're stuck watching the rest of this stupid fucking movie. This is the movie that should have really been called Halloween Kills. Not only does it kill the trilogy, the franchise, and DGGs career, but it also kills the enthusiasm and interest of anyone watching it. Check back soon though, because after the guys finished watching this albatross, they decided to watch some actual good movies...
What is this nonsense, you ask? Well, Mike and Mike are doing a blind taste test of Dr. Pepper and all of the Dr. Pepper knockoffs they can find, in order to determine who is the greatest doctor. And, as a way to relate the idiocy to horror, they are doing a king of the ring style showdown of some of the most prominent doctors in all of horror. Yep.
Mike and Mike are watching the first ever Frankenstein movie! Being a silent film, the guys cant help but at their own dialogue...If you are watching using the Spotify app, this one should be available as a video!
It's Halloween night and the guys are watching Halloween Ends. This movie is an absolute miracle. When Halloween Resurrection came out, no one believed it was possible to make a Michael Myers movie that could possibly suck worse than that. This movie ignores everything that the 2018 and Kills movies established and instead tries to convey the pathetic artistic vision of an untalented director who thinks he is doing something clever. If you want to see Michael Myers, watch one of the other movies, because unfortunately, Michael sits this one out, and who can blame him. If someone made this movie about Mike and Mike, they wouldn't want to be in it either. So please, join the guys as they force feed themselves the lowest fan rated entry in the Halloween series.
On Halloween day, Mike and Mike discuss the state of modern horror and the found footage genre. Also, while waiting to open the haunted house and scare the children, the guys discuss old episodes, eat pork chops, and receive calls and visits from Joyce.
After new that there will be a future Halloween TV series, Mike and Mike discuss and contemplate just how bad that has the potential of being. The guys also transition through several other Michael Myers topics.
In preparation for the Halloween Ends episode, the guys are having a discussion about some of the more interesting points of the whole Halloween franchise. Listen as the guys discuss multiple timelines, various masks, the availability of coveralls, and other life changing topics that you have to hear to belive.
Mike and Mike are back and they're better than ever! Well, actually they're pretty much the same as they've been for the past several centuries, but isn't that why you keep coming back to listen?? The guys have risen from their slumber, tucked their coffins aside, and are playing the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre game! Listen as the guys discuss the ups, downs, ins, outs, and unders of playing the new game. Stay tuned for new episodes!
Here is a video for you Spotify listeners. Everyone else will just get the audio. Enjoy the first time ever that you get to see Mike and Mike in person as they unbox the NECA part 4 Jason. Not your typical unboxing...
During this final part, Mike and Mike are on location, attempting to make nachos... Not that things could possibly get worse than Leprechaun in space, but they aren't getting much better either. The guys watch as the Leprechaun gets ethnic in this not really horror, mostly comedy disaster. At least the Leprechaun is back to speaking in rhymes, which is probably the only entertaining thing about this puddle of infected urine. At least we're getting towards the end of this once proud horror franchise. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Another treat for the Spotify users. If you watch on Spotify, you'll see the video of Mike and Mike terrorizing trick or treaters last Halloween. Mike and Mike will be together on location this weekend finishing up the Leprechaun series and filming a few specials for you...

This is a treat for all of you Spotify listeners. Only on Spotify will you see the video footage. Any other platform will only play the audio. Several weeks before Halloween 2021, Mike and Mike entered the nightmares of dozens of people by becoming the ghouls in a haunted corn maze. Watch as Mike (dressed as a chainsaw wielding pigman) and Mike (dressed as Michael Myers) terrorize adults and children alike in the 2021 Halloween corn maze.

The boys had some technical difficulties during this one. Skype was being a little bitch. Mike and Mike are watching Leprechaun, in space! While the other movies in the series were campy but fun, this one is a little out there, and not in a good way. Space marines land on planet Leprechaun and begin to do battle with the little man. Get ready for laser guns, light sabers, and CG that makes SciFi originals look good. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Hi everyone. Sorry for the brief absence, but when one host goes on a cruise and then gets COVID, we usually take a short break. In honor of Friday the 13th last Friday, the guys sat down and had a discussion about all things Jason. Stay tuned, because the conclusion of The Exorcist will be here before the end of the week. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Hi everyone! Mike and Mike are working diligently on the 100th episode. Keep watching, because it will be here any day. The guys are watching a slightly longer movie based on the audience suggestions. Until then, enjoy this little musical tribute to the Halloween films. For those of you who do not know, on these little heavy metal tracks, Mike G is on drums and vocals, and Mike H is on guitar and bass. Enjoy...
We're off to Las Vegas in the next Leprechaun movie. Lots of fun and lots of great kills make this an excellent movie. The Leprechaun franchise has yet to disappoint. Mike and Mike dive shamrock first into the Leprechaun series! This first one, while goofy, is actually a great 90s horror movie. Well, like the Grim Reaper bringing sweet relief, we've reached the end of the Hellraiser saga. Unfortunately, this final one won't bring much relief. Once again, we have yet another new Pinhead (probably because Doug Bradley was ashamed to be a part of the shit show that this franchise had become). But hey, some of you might like this movie. If you're a fan of vomit, bad acting, puke, people who eat paper, throw-up, a boring story, and vomit, than you'll absolutely love this movie! Stay tuned as we dive into the Leprechaun series, and be on the lookout for our 100th episode! While some of the other Hellraiser movies were total shit, at least they had Doug Bradley as Pinhead to redeem them a little bit. This movie not only sucks in every way, but there are two Pinheads, and neither one of them is Doug Bradley. The movie sucks. The Pinheads suck. Thank Christ that this series is almost over. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
