A shocking tragedy in Charlotte: Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, just 23 years old, was brutally murdered on a light rail train by career criminal Decarlos Brown Jr., a man with 14 prior arrests who was still walking free. Why was he released? Why did city leaders stay silent? And why does the media ignore this case when the racial dynamics don't fit their narrative? Today on the Wake Up America Show, Austin Petersen breaks down the horrific details, exposes the political cowardice behind soft-on-crime policies, and asks why Democrats and corporate media refuse to confront the truth.

US military strike kills 11 Venezuelan terrorists in boat with narcotics; Brazilian homeschool mom lost her case in court; Sudanese police interrupt funeral service to arrest 5 Christians

It's Thursday, September 4th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Sudanese police interrupt funeral service to arrest 5 Christians Police in Sudan disrupted a funeral prayer meeting last month to arrest five Christians. The Christians are South Sudanese. Police have been targeting Ethiopian and South Sudanese nationals for deportation as civil war rages in Sudan. Muslim extremists in the country are also calling for officials to arrest South Sudanese Christians in particular.  A local church leader told Morning Star News, “There is a growing fear among the South Sudanese Christians. So, they remain indoors in order to avoid being arrested.” Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Sudan. The Northeast African nation is ranked fifth on the Open Doors World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.  Sudanese landslide killed 1,000 people Speaking of Sudan, the country suffered one of its worst natural disasters in recent history.  On Sunday, a landslide wiped out the village of Tarasin in the western region of Darfur. Only one person survived, leaving an estimated 1,000 people dead. The landslide came after weeks of heavy rainfall in the mountainous region. Getting aid to the area is already difficult due to the ongoing civil war. In recent years, Sudan's conflict has generated what is considered the world's largest humanitarian crisis.  25.9 million digital Bible downloads in 2024 The United Bible Societies Fellowship reached 240 countries and territories with millions of copies of the Bible last year. The Fellowship of Bible Societies facilitated 25.9 million digital Bible downloads in 2024. This outpaced full Bible printings for the first time. The fellowship distributed 22.5 million printed Bibles last year. It also distributed 8.6 million printed New Testaments and over 118 million printed portions of Scripture.  Brazil led the way in printed and digital distribution, followed by India, China, Nigeria, and the Philippines.  Brazilian homeschool mom lost her case in court Earlier this week, a Brazilian court heard a case of a mom prosecuted for homeschooling her son.   Regiane Cichelero was facing fines of $20,000 and threats of losing custody of her child, for daring to choose home education on religious grounds.   Alliance Defending Freedom International has taken up the case. Her legal counsel, Julio Pohl, points out that “No parent should fear state punishment for choosing to homeschool their child. Regiane made a lawful and conscientious decision to teach her son at home. We are hopeful that the court will affirm her rights and take an important step toward protecting parental rights in Brazil.”   Sadly, Cichelero lost the case.  She was ordered to re-enroll her child in Brazilian public school and ordered to pay the equivalent of $20,000 for not complying. She said, “We will take the case to the Supreme Federal Court and from there, if we continue to receive a ‘no,' we will take it to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.” She had a special message for the Christian homeschoolers who have been praying for her. Cichelero said, “To you who prayed, my sincere thanks. Remember, prayers never return empty. The Lord is sovereign over all things. The Lord has called us for this time, for this cause, for this moment. We are writing history. … He is still the God who controls everything. He has not abandoned us!” US military strike kills 11 Venezuelan terrorists in boat with narcotics The United States conducted a military strike on Tuesday on a drug boat from Venezuela. On Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “The strike occurred while the terrorists were at sea in International waters transporting illegal narcotics, heading to the United States. The strike resulted in 11 terrorists killed in action.” Listen to comments from President Trump. TRUMP: “On the boat, you had massive amounts of drugs. We have tapes of them speaking. It was massive amounts of drugs coming into our country to kill a lot of people. Everybody fully understands that. In fact, you see it, you see the bags of drugs all over the boat. And they were hit obviously. They won't be doing it again. And I think a lot of other people won't be doing it again when they watch that tape. We have to protect our country, and we're going to.” President Trump said the terrorists belonged to Tren de Aragua. The Venezuelan gang is responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence.  Trump supports Christian pregnancy centers The Trump administration is supporting Christian pregnancy centers in New Jersey in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. First Choice Women's Resource Centers is challenging New Jersey's unconstitutional investigation into its operations. Erin Hawley, Senior Counsel with Alliance Defending Freedom, said, “New Jersey's attorney general is targeting First Choice—a ministry that provides parenting classes, free ultrasounds, baby clothes, and more to its community—simply because of its pro-life views. The Constitution protects First Choice and its donors from demands by a hostile state official to disclose their identities.” 50% of Congress are people of Biblical principle The Christian Employers Alliance released their new report card on U.S. Congressional leaders. The index scores lawmakers on a 0-to-100 scale based on their alignment with Biblical principles. Republicans tended to score better than Democrats. Of the 535 members of Congress, half scored 50% or better. Margaret Luculano is the president of the Christian Employers Alliance. She told the Washington Examiner, “Our faith is the foundation of how we live and lead, and lawmakers need that same compass as they face complex policies. That's why we launched the Biblical Business Index — a first-of-its-kind tool bringing together theologians and policy experts to connect Scripture with today's legislation.” Wisdom says in Proverbs 8:15, “By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice.” Gen Z & Millennials attend church more often than older Americans And finally, the Barna Group released new research from its ongoing State of the Church initiative. The report found Christians from younger generations are attending church more frequently than before. They also attend more often than Christians from older generations.  Churchgoers from Gen Z attend 1.9 times per month, while Millennials attend 1.8 times per month. The average for U.S. churched adults is 1.6 per month. Also, Gen Z and Millennial churchgoers attend nearly twice as much as they did in 2020. Psalm 122:1 says, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the LORD.'” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, September 4th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com). There are numerous social and structural vectors for disease that are not often discussed in medical school. So, Dr. David Ansell says he had a lot to learn once he became a physician. Ansell, author of “The Death Gap: How Inequality Kills,” writes about the stark disparities in access to treatment and outcomes for patients in the U.S. healthcare system. “We always talk about inequities. We have frank inequities, but we have gross inequalities,” Ansell says. “The care isn't equal… And if we could get to equal, then we can take on the inequity.” One of the most glaring examples is life expectancy; a person's zip code can be a strong predictor for their life expectancy due to social and structural determinants of health, including structural racism and economic deprivation, he says.  “If you live in The Loop in Chicago, you can live to be 85 and if it were a country, it'd be ranked first in the world,” Ansell says. “But if you live in Garfield Park, three stops down the Blue Line from Rush, life expectancy post-Covid is 66.” In this conversation, which was first published in 2023 for the Health Disparities podcast, Dr. Ansell speaks with Movement Is Life's Dr. Carla Harwell about the importance of addressing systemic racism and inequality in the healthcare system. Rescuers are battling to reach remote, mountainous areas cut off from mobile networks along the Pakistani border, where many mud-brick homes collapsed in the quake.A European Union spokesperson said on Monday that the Global Positioning System of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's aircraft was jammed while en route to Bulgaria on Sunday, though it ultimately landed safely. Bulgarian authorities said they suspect Russia's involvement in the incident. The incident occurred while von der Leyen was on a four-day tour to EU member states in Eastern Europe.

When Comparison Kills

In this powerful message, we're challenged to confront the hidden dangers of comparison and compromise in our spiritual lives. The story of Ananias and Sapphira from Acts 5 serves as a stark reminder of how seemingly small acts of deception can have devastating consequences. We're encouraged to examine our hearts, asking ourselves what 'trees' we're nurturing - are we living from the tree of life or the tree of knowledge of good and evil? This analogy, drawn from Genesis, invites us to consider the fruit our lives are producing. Are we allowing comparison to breed compromise, or are we cultivating a life of integrity and holiness? The message urges us to address the 'roots' in our lives before they grow into destructive behaviors, reminding us that what we don't confront will eventually consume us. It's a call to embrace God's love and conviction, allowing Him to uproot sin and plant seeds of righteousness in our hearts.

Would you like access to our advanced agency training for FREE? https://www.agencymastery360.com/training Is your agency's strategy diversified enough to withstand sudden algorithm changes? Today's featured guest—an SEO veteran—learned this the hard way. While he focused on client work, his own website grew outdated. Then one Google update hit and overnight his agency lost 80% of its organic traffic, its main source of leads. The agency eventually recovered, but not without leaving him with a powerful lesson: always invest in the three pillars of growth. In this episode, he shares his chaotic first encounter with SEO, the biggest lessons from a long career in the industry, and the “superpower” that helps him better understand and adapt to algorithm shifts. Chris Raulf is the founder of Boulder SEO Marketing and Chris Raulf SEO & AI Consulting. With decades of experience in SEO, dating back to before Google was even called Google, Chris specializes in hyper-focused SEO and content marketing strategies. He's worked with clients from local startups to major national brands, helping them dominate organic search. Fun fact: Chris is dyslexic and considers it his SEO superpower. In this episode, we'll discuss: The big mistake that led him to a career in SEO. The day 80% of his organic traffic disappeared. Why he now invests in the three pillars of growth. Subscribe Apple | Spotify | iHeart Radio Sponsors and Resources This episode is brought to you by Wix Studio: If you're leveling up your team and your client experience, your site builder should keep up too. That's why successful agencies use Wix Studio — built to adapt the way your agency does: AI-powered site mapping, responsive design, flexible workflows, and scalable CMS tools so you spend less on plugins and more on growth. Ready to design faster and smarter? Go to wix.com/studio to get started. From Big Mistake to a Full-Blown Career in SEO Chris has been in the SEO game since before most of us knew it was a thing. Back in 1995, while working in Switzerland for an American company, he watched the birth of the search engine era. The US branch of the company created something called a “website” and hardcoded German text as images on it. His first “SEO problem” was figuring out how search engines could read that German text. That curiosity grew into a passion, and eventually a full-blown career. Fast forward to today, Boulder SEO Marketing is a hyper-focused SEO agency specializing in content strategies that win. But even with all that experience, Chris learned the hard way that no one is safe from the wrath of a Google core update. The Day Organic Traffic Disappeared In 2021, business was booming. Leads were rolling in purely from organic search. Then, overnight, a Google core algorithm update wiped out about 80% of their organic traffic. Why did this happen? Outdated content. Their own site had gone stale while they focused on client work. For an agency that relied almost entirely on inbound search leads, it was like someone padlocked the front door. Chris could have panicked, but after the initial shock, he collected himself and treated this crisis as an opportunity. He gave himself one weekend to create a comeback plan. The result was a proprietary approach he calls Micro SEO Strategies—laser-targeted content plays designed to quickly recover rankings and leads. Two Pages That Saved the Agency Chris rebuilt their inbound engine with just two key pieces of content: A location page targeting “Denver SEO” that shot straight to #1 in local search and started generating leads almost immediately. An SEO packages guide that became a go-to national resource for that search term, pulling in high-quality leads from across the U.S. Within 3–4 weeks, the phones were ringing again. Inbound was back. And Chris walked away with a hard-earned reminder—never let your own marketing go stale. Don't Put All Your Eggs in Google's Basket If you're getting all your leads from one channel, you're on borrowed land. Whether it's Google, Facebook, or any single source, an algorithm tweak or platform change can crush your lead flow overnight. Jason's advice on this is to build three pillars: Inbound (like SEO and content) Outbound (targeted outreach and prospecting) Strategic partnerships (referrals, collabs, and networks) That way, if one pillar crumbles, your agency can survive. Turning Dyslexia into a Superpower Like anyone who's struggled with dyslexia (like Jason, for instance) Chris had a hard time in school. Nowadays, however, he no longer sees it as a weakness and instead credits it with his ability to “feel” the algorithm and see patterns others might miss. It's helped him build a thriving agency, one that makes most of its money from content. Both agreed, what once felt like a setback in school became an entrepreneurial advantage later in life.
