Hellraiser: Judgement follows up on one of the worst movies we've seen for this podcast, Hellraiser: Revelations. It's the same writer from Revelations, but this time they spent more than 11 days making the movie. Can they actually turn it around?Look we did it. We watched EVERY SINGLE Hellraiser movie in existence. We're officially super fans now. In fact, I got a little present to commemorate watching 10 whole movies back to back. I hope Mike likes it!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-other-half/exclusive-content

Well, like the Grim Reaper bringing sweet relief, we've reached the end of the Hellraiser saga. Unfortunately, this final one won't bring much relief. Once again, we have yet another new Pinhead (probably because Doug Bradley was ashamed to be a part of the shit show that this franchise had become). But hey, some of you might like this movie. If you're a fan of vomit, bad acting, puke, people who eat paper, throw-up, a boring story, and vomit, than you'll absolutely love this movie! Stay tuned as we dive into the Leprechaun series, and be on the lookout for our 100th episode! This week Mike, Rich and Steve look at a bumper pack of films, kicking off with FUKUSHIMA 50, a dramatisation of the Fukushima nuclear disaster. (the trailer in the link is horribly dubbed into American - the actual film is presented in Japanese with English subs). Then we take a look at THE STYLIST, a very stylish horror film with an iconic protagonist. You may also be interested in checking out this interview with the director, Jill Gevargizian. Mike and Rich then delve into not one but two Hellraiser films, which have only just now been released in the UK - HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS (2011) and HELLRAISER: JUDGEMENT(2018). These are noteable for not having Doug Bradley in the role of Pinhead - but does that necessarily make them bad films? I actually have a big bone to pick with one of them - tune in to hear us discuss! We also take a look at SHADOWLAND, a new low budget horror film set in the wilds of Scotland, co-starring Amela Eve from The Haunting of Bly Manor. Our Short Shot is the very well-produced DECOMMISSIONED - contrast the zero gravity fx here to what Ron Howard put his cast through in Apollo 13! Click the link to watch the whole 6min film! Finally, out DTV Throwback is BACK TO EVEN, in which an almost unrecogniseable Lorenzo Lamas runs into problems with a violent bookie who happens to be an old highschool buddy and played by Michael Pare. I couldn't find an actual trailer online for this, just the linked opening scene. Don't forget to check out our FACEBOOK and TWITTER pages where you will find the DTV Chart and news of new DTV releases!

With our take on Gary J. Tunnicliffe's Hellraiser: Judgement, we say goodbye to a franchise that spanned space, time, heaven, hell, and the supermarket dollar DVD bin.
After Jacob became fascinated by the first 15 minutes of this 10th entry in a franchise that should have died in the nineties he lit the Refund signal and the guys reluctantly came. But what they were met with was a movie that demands we take it seriously, so much so that Ben almost died in the first fifteen minutes of this podcast. After Ben survived the other side we pushed play commentary style so you can watch the movie with us! So grab a copy and get ready to get audited, assessed, then judged with HELLRAISER JUDGEMENT!!! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/refund-theater/support

We brave another bout of Southern winter storms to bring you an episode that's easily in the top 200. And let us tell you, who knew January was going to bring us so many trailers?? First up is SUMMER OF 84. Kids, bicycles, and murder. Oh, and did we mention it's from the team behind TURBO KID? That has to be a recipe for success. Next up is a trailer that almost ended up in the trash. With a name like THE CAMPUS, it's easy to pass it over. However, the ambitious nature of this one has our attention. VICTOR CROWLEY reeks of Adam Green, and we couldn't love the smell anymore. Finally, the trailer for HELLRAISER: JUDGEMENT has risen from the depths and it's… inconsistent. Despite reservations, we're still excited. This week we observe Nic Cage in his natural environment: being a middle-aged psychopath in MOM AND DAD. This is a special film for a multitude of reasons. It's not perfect, but it makes some things work that probably shouldn't work. Finally, we play an old game with a new name. Cinema Centipede. You know, where you take the end of a thing and attach it to the beginning of another. Yeah, you get it. This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, Mike and Pat discuss two films from the mastermind Guillermo del Toro: The Shape of Water and Pan's Labyrinth. On the first part of the show, Patrick talks to us about whats happening in the Horror world. Unfortunately, it appears that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is yet again getting a reboot. Hellraiser: Judgement is finally getting released on Blu-ray on February 13, 2018. Another thing that was brought up was about a movie called Mom and Dad, where the parents start killing their kids. The first movie by del Toro is Pan's Labyrinth, released in 2006. This movie takes place in 1944 Spain, the bookish young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world. The newest film released by del Toro was The Shape of Water. This movie takes place in a 1960's research facility. Elisa, a mute janitor, forms a relationship with a mysterious aquatic creature. Yet again, del Toro has made the audience care about every character in the film. As always make sure to subscribe to us on iTunes, leave us a review and tell your weird friends about us.
