Judy Greer (Arrested Development, Marvel's Ant-Man, 13 Going on 30, Halloween Kills) and Mayim relive the now legendary "Wil Wheaton fiasco", reminisce about THE BIG BANG THEORY (the role Judy continues to be recognized for most today) and their shared love for pickles and Taylor Swift! Judy reveals her powerful journey through perimenopause, from her symptoms and what encouraged her to seek help, to hormones and what has worked for her. She opens up about her body image & self-esteem issues, her thoughts on GLP-1 drugs (Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy) and its effect on the body positivity movement. Judy discusses using alcohol as a reward and to ease social anxiety, sobriety and what it's taught her about herself, her codependent tendencies, religion's role in processing grief, and how she finds ways to decompress after a particularly traumatic acting role. Mayim and Judy bond over their love of Taylor Swift! Judy recounts her Eras Tour experience and how Folklore made her a “Swiftie.” PLUS, she explains why her mom got fired from being a nun and why playing the "best friend" is her go-to role. Originally Recorded on Sunday January 26th, 2025, and Sunday February 2nd, 2025. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hey there, fans! That Horror Show Podcast embraces the new year with a brand-new episode featuring the return of Brazilian filmmaker Jose Mojica Marins' iconic character Coffin Joe (or 'Ze do Caixao' in his native Portuguese language). Show hosts Timothy Kazda and Chris Koenig reviewed three official Coffin Joe movies back in 2017 (memories!) and thought that was the end of the long-fingernailed, top hat-black wardrobe wearing coffin maker-turned-evil madman. But, as fate would have it, Coffin Joe showed up in a few "unofficial" movies, so it was inevitable the hosts would tackle them for review. So, for Part 1 of this episode: Coffin Joe goes 'Crypt Keeper' in "The Strange World of Coffin Joe" (1968) featuring three tales of bizarre terror, while "The Awakening of the Beast" (1969) is a "shockumentary"-type feature in which Brazilian society is going down the tubes and it all in some drug-induced way involves good ol' Joe! And for a bonus: Nate from 'Kids Corner' gives his take on "Halloween Kills" (2021). So what are you waiting for, fans? Give this episode a little spin!

Tim's credits include his own works like "Custodians of the Cosmos", "A Hunter Called Night", & "Blood Island", along with novelizations for films like "Terrifier 2", "Halloween Kills", and Ti West's recent trilogy (X, Pearl, Maxxxine). We sat down and got to discuss the differences in preparing original work vs adaptations, whether his writing process had changed over the years, whether he had to take anything out of his novelizations for Ti West's trilogy, and more!

Welcome, horror fans, to another spooky installment of *The Rotten Horror Picture Show*! Now, before we dive into the blood-soaked, mask-wearing madness, I have to admit—I'm a little… well, *disoriented* by the *Halloween* franchise at this point. So much so, I'm starting to wonder if *Michael Myers* himself is the one messing with our heads. Here's the deal: in this special episode, Clay and Amanda have decided to *revisit* their original coverage of *Halloween 2018*—which, to be fair, is an *excellent* choice, because that movie is a big deal in the *Halloween* timeline... I think. You see, it's the one where Laurie Strode (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) is back, fighting to survive after all these years. But wait—didn't they already fight back in *Halloween H20*? And wasn't there another Laurie vs. Michael showdown in *Resurrection*? But *Halloween 2018* ignores *those*, right? And now we're supposed to pretend *those* never happened? *But* isn't there also this new *continuity* in the mix—where *Halloween Kills* comes right after *Halloween 2018* but… *not* after *Halloween 2*? And then there's the *whole* thing about *Halloween Ends*, which is definitely the end, but… I'm pretty sure they said that about the last one too. So, anyway, Clay and Amanda are here to remind us how all this started by revisiting *Halloween 2018*. They're giving us the rundown before they drop their *Halloween Kills* episode on Patreon later this month. But first—please, someone, for the love of sanity—help me figure out which timeline we're in now. Is this the one with *Danny McBride*, or the one with *Busta Rhymes*? I guess we'll find out soon enough!Head over to www.patreon.com/thepenskyfile to listen to all the other Halloween episodes!

Nobody sets out to make a bad movie. And yet, it happens. A lot. Especially when it comes to sequels. Hollywood can't resist going back to the well when a movie captures a passionate audience – and makes lots of money. But again and again sequels disappoint, and in some cases, can be so bad they kill a franchise. So join the Great Pop Culture Debate as it focuses on the most dreadful of duds, the most creatively bankrupt of flops, as we debate the Worst Movie Sequels. Films discussed: Speed 2: Cruise Control, Highlander 2: The Quickening, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Caddyshack II, Jaws: The Revenge, Halloween Kills, Basic Instinct II, Teen Wolf Too, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Staying Alive, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Grease 2, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Batman & Robin, Zoolander II, Spider-Man 3. Join host Eric Rezsnyak and GPCD panelists Jim Czadzeck, Kate Racculia, and Kevin Dillon as they debate 16 of the most reviled movie sequels of all time. It's a monster mash on this fresh from the grave episode of DEATH BY DVD all about FRANKY AND HIS PALS, directed by Gerald Cormier. What is Franky And His Pals, you ask? Well, let us copy and paste the write up from the official Severinfilms.com website where this movie is available to purchase, because we are to lazy to write something up ourselves and theirs is way better : From the deepest, darkest depths of the shot-on-video vaults… Hidden from view for 30 years… All your favorite movie monsters are back… And they're ready to party like it's 1990! Franky, Drak, Wolfy, Mummy and Humper – the horny hunchback – descend on the tiny mining town of French Gulch in search of lost gold, but it's Halloween Night, and the monsters soon find themselves caught up in the debaucherous festivities of the local townsfolk. Will Franky and His Pals find the gold? Will they learn the ways of love? Will Drak quench his thirst for human blood? Just how explosive is Franky's flatulence? What's that Mad Scientist tinkering on out in his barn? What the hell is a pee-pee? And does any of it really matter? Directed by veteran grindhouse and adult film producer Gerald Cormier (TERROR CIRCUS a.k.a. BARN OF THE NAKED DEAD, 101 ACTS OF LOVE) and seldom-seen beyond the shelves of small-town video shops, this bizarro monster-comedy is finally being resurrected on DVD and is positively exploding with spooky Special Features! And since I copy and pasted all that from Severin, the least I can do is also add the link so you can buy the movie : TAP HERE FOR THE MOVIEDive into the monster mash with your host Harry-Scott Sullivan and kick back and relax with this hoot and an additional hollar of an episode. Send us a textEver wondered how far we'd go to punish our fellow podcasters, even those serving in the military? Tune in to this hilarious episode of "Entertain This" as we welcome back Nate, affectionately called "Not Hayden," stepping in for our usual co-host Hayden. Nate hilariously recalls his ordeal with the terrible "Space Homeboys," while Mitch shares his torment watching the overly moralistic "Second Glance." We also touch on the unexpected success of Christian films on YouTube, including Nate's own involvement in "Dangerous Calling."Journey through the cinematic legacy of James Bond with us, from his 1962 debut to the modern era. We dive into personal memories of collecting VHS tapes and navigating the series pre-internet, adding a unique touch to the Bond conversation. Daniel Craig's era gets a special mention for its compelling narrative arc and emotional depth, especially with his swan song "No Time to Die." Plus, we dish on how the Bond films have evolved with cultural trends, giving Roger Moore's tenure a mix of critique and appreciation.Hollywood buzz, anyone? We discuss potential new Bonds, the mixed reactions to "Halloween Kills," and a slew of TV, movie, and video game updates. From Hayden Christensen's return in the Ahsoka Tano series to the chaotic zombie battles of "Back 4 Blood," we cover it all. We'll also throw in some horror trivia and personal anecdotes about our favorite horror flicks, leaving you with recommendations and a peek into our family tradition of making horror shorts. Still in his early career, Dylan Arnold has already built  a diverse catalog of roles, including a breakout one in season three of Netflix's “You,” reprising a fan-favorite for the “Halloween” franchise in “Halloween Kills,” and last year, of course, playing Frank Oppenheimer, holding much more than his own, opposite Oscar winner Cillian Murphy. Now he goes a good bit darker in Alma Har'el's Apple TV+ series “The Lady In The Lake.” On this episode, he talks about the differences between these two incredible actor's directors, Har'el and Christopher Nolan, and what works best for him. He explains the importance of holding back from making choices too early in preparation, why you should approach with caution anything discovered in rehearsal, learning that “things that scare me can yield exciting results,” and much more. Back To One is the in-depth, no-nonsense, actors-on-acting podcast from  Filmmaker Magazine. In each episode, host Peter Rinaldi invites one working actor to do a deep dive into their unique process, psychology, and approach to the craft.  Follow Back To One on Instagram

Ed from The Film Effect Podcast returns to discuss the concluding chapter of David Gordon Green's Halloween Trilogy, Halloween Ends (2022). Discussion Points: -Sean trials a new introduction, but buggers up his guest's name. -The reception of Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills (2021). -The surprising direction of this film. -The divisive direction of this concluding chapter. -The character of Corey and whether he was always meant to be in the film. -Sean and Ed clash over their views of the wider Halloween series, particularly Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Raised Questions: -Does this film make you feel like ripping your shirt off? -Could they have gone "bigger and better" after Halloween Kills? -Did it help to introduce an all-new character as the main character? -Why is Jeremy such a git? -Is this film The Dark Knight Rises of the 2018 Halloween trilogy? -A marching band or extras from Grease (1978)? -Why does Corey dance like that? -Is Halloween Ends a "breath of fresh air"? PUBLIC VERSION. Filmmaker and actor Jim Cummings (THE WOLF OF SNOW HOLLOW, THUNDER ROAD, THE BETA TEST, HALLOWEEN KILLS, BARRY) joins Adam and Joe in the ArieScope studio to share his career journey. From the disastrous screening that lead to him stepping away from directing for several years and the moment that a submerged shopping cart helped him realize that he'd never make a boring movie again… to why so much of writing is actually not writing… to making up for the gap in sex in modern cinema and why he doesn't hold back on sex or violence artistically… to why he prefers long takes in his story telling… to shooting during the period where the WGA and the agencies were in a stand-off over “agency project packaging”… to meeting his entertainment heroes… to what it was like facing off with “Michael Myers” and whether or not he was really scared… to his OPPENHEIMER audition… to his positive experiences with crowd funding projects… to working on BARRY… making his hilarious new short film IS NOW A GOD TIME? (world premiering at Tribeca) and the joys of making shorts… Jim gets extremely candid and honest about his Hollywood experience. Dr Arwen provides a short but sweet “Hollywood Therapy” session for a fan who has fallen in love with horror conventions, Adam and Joe steal and eat a famous director's candy, and the group discusses whether or not a disconnect exists between the industry the media and the audience.

This fine episode of Death By DVD originally premiered on 4/20/2022Do you know what 4/20 stands for? For a lot of folks it means BLAZE IT! Lets get high! And on 4/20, well, people get high! Boy do they get high. But 4/20 has another special meaning. On 4/20/1999 two young boys murdered 15 of their classmates with deadly weapons, a crime that would briefly shock the nation! On this episode we aren't getting high (yes we are) but we're "shooting" the shit about a movie called DUCK! The Carbine High Massacre which came out a whopping SIX MONTHS after the Columbine High School Massacre! You may want to roll a joint for this episode. You'll need it.
