Fun Fact: A made-for-TV remake, named Gila! was directed by Jim Wynorski and released in 2012. ALSO! We did not know this, but there is actually an animal called Gila Monster (yeah, we should have looked that up beforehand). The lizard in the movie is NOT a gila monster. It's a Mexican Beaded Lizard. Good ol' 1950s.
