Kris Cascone Devito has a PSA: find a partner you want to escape jail with, especially baby jail. Kris describes how she created her own path into marriage and motherhood, and breaks down all the things women don't tell you about being a first-time mother. First, Jaclyn recaps her controversial opinion on a popular movie, and describes almost getting set up at a funeral. Erin is still obsessed with impeachment, and has recently found the joys of Dry January. Our guest, Kris Devito, shares her non-traditional journey into engagement, marriage and motherhood, and how getting pregnant accidentally-on-purpose was just the start of it. She tells us how she met her husband, when she knew he was the one, and how he told her Italian father she was pregnant. Kris describes a 300-step climb towards engagement, her #1 pregnancy craving and planning her dream anti-wedding. Kris speaks facts about all the things women don't tell you about being a mother including the rarest of injuries, having a tiny stranger in your house and needing to ask permission from your new warden. Kris tells us of her son's vendetta against Santa Claus, how he's learning (and un-learning) the art of self-defense, and how she's raising him to NOT be a little asshole. Are you curious about cannabis and edibles? Have you ever experienced a weed hangover? When is it finally going to be legal? To answer these questions, we (hilariously) explore the world of cannabis with our guest Sarah Spencer Chan. First, Jaclyn walks us through her first sober-ish date, and how it can work in your favor to avoid wasting time later. Erin feels stuck in Dry January, and suggests not swinging the pendulum too far in either direction. As a New Year experiment, we embark on a week-long trial with edibles and each ended up with some seriously entertaining outtakes. Our expert guest, Sarah, poses as our Weed Shaman and helps to translate our crazy, and (definitely) questionable actions. Jaclyn describes an emotional evening with TV and corn chips, and once her pre-recording edible kicks in at 52:25, she passionately explains her millennial-infused grocery shopping experience, and rants about where all the cauliflower has gone. Erin doubled her dose accidentally-on-purpose, decides being high is too boring for her taste, and that CBD is an optimal non-alcoholic substance pre-bedtime. Sarah's expertise is driven by the positive impact cannabis has had on her life, including stress and anxiety relief, bonding with her now-husband, and a passion for her industry-related job. Sarah discusses daily-use tips including good-for-you munchies, how to focus on a chore or task, and advice for at-home chemistry experiments. We ask Sarah about the cultural implications of cannabis such as the the public's biggest misconception, her prediction for further legality and acceptance, and government's ownership in slowing retail and medical advances for even wider accessibility. We play the classic Oh My God, Yes! and Oh My God, No!: Weed edition, and find out what Sarah thinks of being high during sex, therapy, and a first date. How to Date Men When You Hate Men

Blythe Roberson's book, How to Date Men When You Hate Men, explores her perspective on the millennial dating culture, and what all the B.S. (might) mean. For our first episode of 2020, we're catching up on our holiday break, the importance of getting out of the city and turning off ya brain, and how to bounce back post-New Year. For our first book review, we discuss HTDMWYHM, a 2018 non-fiction that focuses primarily on straight, college-educated, white men with privilege, and their relationship with straight, college-educated white women. The book is organized by the chronological steps of a relationship from crushes to making art about your break-up. The book's theme hovers over the antiquated portrayal of a rom-com relationship, and how men and women suffer long after the movie is over. We highlight the book's bright spots, including opting into romance for joy, her theory on "Professionally Insecure Woke Boys", the art of becoming "a full tree", and calling out what's the absolute worst thing to say to a single person. We discuss the low points too, including the author's oblivious attitude and constant-wonder if she's actually ever dated at all, her typical millennial tone and lackluster sarcasm, and an overall questionable authority on relationships and dating. Listen for our Oh My God, Same! moments including the importance of a situation-ship, the panic of a blurry-faced crush, the yearning for romantic stability, and being horrible at giving out signals ie. resting bitch face. Peace out 2019! Our New Year's Eve episode is packed with insane stories, how we'd score ourselves on 2019 resolutions and a look ahead to 2020. We catch up on Jaclyn's Bachelor sightings, her confrontation to a faux-nice guy, and more revelations on ghosting. We're ringing in 2020 by looking back on how we entered 2019, and it ain't pretty. Erin shares her drunken slob-kabob twinning moment, and Jaclyn describes her basement-bar debauchery, and how she miraculously avoided Italian catering on New Year's Day. We discuss how we did with our 2019 resolutions, how Erin has perfected her wink, and how Jaclyn's independence has boosted her self-confidence. We're excited for a fresh start in 2020, and have so much to look forward to. Erin's got domestic travel on her mind, and Jaclyn vows to get back into her art and dedicate time to philanthropy. First, we discuss our Thanksgiving holiday, saying F-U to the winter blues, and Erin's big dating announcement. Knowing when to introduce a significant other to your family, especially at the holidays, can be an anxiety-filled decision. We discuss how it can either be a wedge if you choose not to, or the kiss of death if you bite the bullet too soon, and that surprise attacks are a major fail. How to Illustrate Your Dream Job with Emily Kelley of Land&She

Emily Kelley, artist and creator of Land&She, joins us as our first guest!  In our weekly catch-up, we share our love for Rumble Boxing, and how Jaclyn has recently been influenced by food-related Netflix docs, and will be adjusting her diet in the new year.  Emily Kelley is the owner of Land&She, a Philadelphia-based illustration studio and e-commerce shop.  Emily explains the inspiration for her business, the epiphany that pushed her to go out on her own, and why it's important to be the catalyst for your own career.  Emily describes the art of block printing, the products and experience she sells, and the unexpected demand of a tattoo ticket.  We decide that a cultural yearning in this digital age for a handmade piece of art has pushed her forward, and how a zen / CBD-infused mindset is imperative to her process.  Emily has become a self-made, female entrepreneur, and has realized being successful also includes creating and living a life that's good for the soul.  We ask Emily classic Oh My God, Yes! or Oh My God, No! questions, and learn she has a distinct reaction to AirPods and lipstick, wants a first date to have a beard and bring a corsage, and that Jaclyn (maybe) doesn't know the difference between a crystal and a rock.    Find Emily Kelley on Instagram @landandshestudio, and shop her collections at www.landandshe.com  Follow us on Instagram @ohmygodsamepodcast, Jaclyn @jaclynmerk, and Erin @erinkcarroll.  Email us your stories and questions at ohmygodsame@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ohmygodsame/support
