Bri spoke with aspiring entrepreneur Doug Goldwater about his startup idea, The You Frontier. The You Frontier sets out to create a physical social network through turning unused spaces and commercial buildings around the country into creative community hubs and cheap co-working spaces. It will be an alternative to the expensive world of corporate co-working and the online social networks that have only dispirited and divided us. The You Frontier differs from other co-working spaces in not only its price but it's flexibility- members will get the opportunity to decorate the space and shape its activities. Doug aspires to inspire Americans to pursue their dreams by creating supportive, physical communities that will facilitate fun events, new relationships, and big ideas. The You Frontier will allow you to be your own pioneer, and build your own future the way you see fit. To contact Doug: theyoufrontier99@gmail.com
Bri + Matt travel to Houston, TX for the NRA Conference. Arriving as journalists with NRA memberships, the two recall their time spent at Friday and Saturday's events. The issue of gun control is not cut and dry, and neither is the epidemic of mental health. Violence has been part of the human experience since the dawn of man, but what about technology? Is it fair to not amend the amendments when it comes to assault rifles? Should we be worried about the isolated youths and time spent lonely and online? The compassion is endless and the answers are nowhere to be found. Join us on a journey of well-meaning conversation on these topics. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

April 12, 2022: New York City experienced a terrorist attack on mass transit. 30 hours later, the man behind the crime turned himself in. April 14, 2022 he was arraigned in Brooklyn Federal Court. This is my two cents.
The day after Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty on 5 of 6 counts, Juror #50 went public in two interviews, detailing his own sexual abuse as a child. Because of these public conversations, it's been insinuated that Juror #50 (1) was not truthful on his intake questionnaire (2) was unbiased and therefore unfit to sit on this jury. The defense argues that Maxwell deserves this to be deemed a mistrial. What does this mean for the (alleged) victims of Epstein and Maxwell? Will we broaden our conversation on victim shaming? What's the difference between a rape victim and a sexual assault victim? What about male victims of sexual abuse? They so often hide their pain deepest, will this be a turning point in our culture of conversation? Bri sits down with fellow Maxwell reporter Jacob Shamsian of Insider.com to comb through where things sit as we wait for the judge's ruling.
Throwing it back to the pop culture that made us. We are the slumber party you never want to leave. The girls who can't stop giggling unless it's to take seriously the breakdown of pop culture & the evolution of “the norm.” The influence of media is a big deal to us & we think it should be for you, too. We've dubbed it Entou-RAGE Against the Patriarchy & we're talking about the boys of HBO's Entourage. Taking on the flat tan tummies of 2004, Ari Gold as (deeply attractive) toxic masculinity, & Vinny Chase as the original fuckboy. The dented us, they built us & now we know better. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Omicron, Paris Hilton, Ghislaine Maxwell, Pete Davidson: Just because I tested negative for COVID in the wealthiest country on the planet, doesn't mean it's accurate- okay? Leave Pete Davidson alone. Put Ghislaine in jail. Save Paris from her new husband. In a special conversation with hypnotherapist and intuitive coach, Michael Carson, we dive into the battle between the media we consume and the truths we are complacent with ignoring. There's no easy way to feel comfortable with losing faith in modern media or traditional eduction, so it's with all the hope that we push this conversation forward and remember it's okay to seek groundedness in a safe space. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The Culture of Secrecy for Female Youth: With court out of session for a few days, the conversations aren't slowing down.
