Product Line: Includes chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, lemon, confetti sugar cookies, and cookie dough mixes. She emphasizes premium ingredients and a unique signature flavor. Expansion: Her products are launching in over 4,100 stores including HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls across the U.S. and Canada. International Recognition: Selected to speak at the largest snacks and sweets show in Dubai and participate in Canada’s minority supplier program.
Hello Brave Friends, you know we encourage sisterhood on this podcast but we don't always talk about the unexpected community that can form around our children with unique needs, when we're open to it. And sometimes that means having a broader idea about who that community may include. It might NOT be other mom's, even care-giving mom's with kids the same age because hey, they're BUSY! Instead, it might be a retired neighbor looking for some way to be of service, a single friend who has the time to help you take your kid to the park, it might even be a paid care-giver who bonds with your child and builds a lasting relationship with them. So in our last episode of season four, we have a beautiful topic for you, how to build an entourage of love around your child. For this episode, host Jessica Patay speaks with author, speaker and psychotherapist, Emma Nadler who wrote a beautiful memoir called The Unlikely Village of Eden. Beyond building an entourage of love, they discuss a whole spectrum of things including: the shock of and culture around a child's diagnosis, the importance of not giving up on community and why we have to FIGHT FOR OURSELVES, asking for help again and again because WE'RE WORTH IT. The Unlikely Village of Eden is an insightful and wholehearted look at the long-ignored realities so many families live with daily. Nadler is a trusted guide who confronts both hope and despair as she gives readers the gift of what it looks like to redefine love, success, family, and community.Find Emma's website and links to order her beautiful book, The Unlikely Village of Eden, here.Brave Together Parenting is the podcast for We are Brave Together, a not-for-profit organization based in the USA. This is one of the most raw, unfiltered conversations I've had in a long time, and it was too good not to share. In this special episode, I join Ben Handler on his podcast Tomorrow's Minds, a show dedicated to the ideas, innovations, and visions shaping the future. What started as a guest appearance quickly evolved into a deep, wide-ranging conversation I knew I had to bring to you here.We break down what it really takes to scale a business that grows fast, runs lean, and gives you more freedom, not less. It's the kind of episode that punches you in the gut, wakes you up, and pulls you forward — no matter what stage of the journey you're in.We unpack the real challenges of leadership, the discipline of focus, and how to build a business and life that play by your rules, not someone else's.By the end of this episode, you'll know:Why most founders stay stuck in complexity, and how to break freeThe truth about building your inner circle (and why most “networking” is a waste of time)How I scaled The Entourage, delegated 90% of operations, and still drive the visionWhat it really means to build a founder-led brand in a noisy world. Why solitude, strategic stillness, and clear thinking time are essential for high-performanceThis episode will shift how you think about growth, leadership, and what it really takes to scale without losing yourself in the process.

What does it truly take to build a thriving career in Hollywood? Emmy award-winning actress and producer Karina Michel pulls back the curtain on the entertainment industry in this captivating conversation about resilience, authenticity, and creative evolution.Karina's remarkable journey began far from the bright lights of Hollywood—in a small town in England where, at just three years old, she declared to her parents she wanted to be an actress. Through twists of fate, including being discovered by a photographer at an Ohio mall, she built a career spanning over 100 projects, including appearances in Dexter, Entourage, CSI: New York, and Transformers 2.What makes Karina's story particularly compelling is her ability to evolve with changing circumstances. When a writers' strike halted her acting work, she pivoted to producing at a time when female producers were rare. This transition coincided with motherhood, allowing her the flexibility to remain in entertainment while being present for her children. Beyond acting and producing, she has expanded her creative portfolio as a writer for Rolling Stone and Authority Magazine, as well as the host of her podcast, "Coffee with Karina: Entertainment Unfiltered."Throughout our conversation, Karina shares invaluable wisdom for aspiring entertainment professionals. She emphasizes the critical importance of networking, the need to begin local and build experience, and the power of embracing imperfection rather than waiting for ideal conditions. Her definition of boldness—"not giving in to fear in any way"—serves as both her philosophy and her message to listeners hesitant to pursue their creative dreams.Discover why authenticity remains the cornerstone of creative success and how facing your fears might open doors to worlds you never imagined possible. Whether you're pursuing a career in entertainment or seeking inspiration to take a bold step in any field, Karina's insights offer both practical guidance and motivational fuel to move forward with courage.Resources:Podcast Coffee with KarinaKarina on LinkedInSupport the show When you subscribe to the podcast, you are supporting our work's mission, allowing us to continue highlighting successful women in a variety of careers to inspire others helping pay our wonderful editor, Chris, and helping me in paying our hosting expenses.

This week on The Analysis, Bob Pantalone welcomes back film fanatic and pop culture critic Brittney Brown for a deep dive into Apple TV's breakout hit The Studio—a smart, satirical rollercoaster produced by and starring Seth Rogen. From Martin Scorsese directing a Kool-Aid Man movie to Bryan Cranston mangling lobster at a blackjack table, The Studio hilariously pulls back the curtain on the chaotic, ego-filled, and often absurd world of modern moviemaking. Brittney and Bob unpack their favorite episodes, dig into how real-life industry pressures show up in the storytelling, and reflect on Rogen's evolution as a creator who's not afraid to make himself the punchline.
Time and again, as you go through nearly 200 episodes of Fine Is a 4-Letter Word, you'll find stories from guests who found themselves disconnected from what's supposed to be a connected world.Your circle of close friends you see all the time - your "besties"? Go back two years and tell me how many of them are the same people.Your avid following on social media who hang on your every post? Delete your account and I bet maybe two of them even try to reach out somewhere else.Sometimes being disconnected is a lonely place to be. Other times, it gives you the advantage of not being indoctrinated into other people's beliefs. It could also mean your tribe is quietly forming behind you as you go through this journey called life - as Margaret Rogers discovered when her own journey became a giant a-ha moment. The daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, her parents' cultural way of showing love was to make sure she had the security that came with providing for her basic needs. She wanted for little materially, but the rest was up to her. Her parents told her two things: "We want you to be happy, healthy, and have a steady job" and "Money's easy to spend and very difficult to make".In school, she was the only Asian girl in class. There weren't the thriving, nuclear Asian communities that exist in almost every city today. In college, taking an engineering class filled almost entirely with white men, her professor interrupted his lecture and singled out the woman, asking her, "do you understand?" for no particular reason at all.Graduating with degrees in both electrical engineering and computer science, Margaret easily got a job during the dot-com boom. But then the bubble burst. She decided she really wanted to do "consulting" with only a vague notion of what that is. So she said "if you're laying people off, pick me" and started her own firm. This was all turning out just fine. Really. But Fine is a 4-Letter Word, as Margaret found out after another company acquired hers and she became an executive there. When it hit her that the acquirer had bought the company's technical skill but abandoned the culture she had built, she felt like she'd let down the team she'd nurtured and assured she'd take good care of.So, who had Margaret's back now? You'll discover that in a moment. You'll hear her story about the power of mentorship that began when she hired her first employee and recognized how that changed her own life forever. You'll also see how everybody from her Taiwanese grandmother to so many she's met along the way have come together behind her like a posse. Like she's Wonder Woman and they're her Avengers.Listen all the way through as it will hit you right at the end.Margaret's hype song is "Let's Get It Started" by The Black Eyed Peas.Resources:Margaret Rogers' website: https://parivedasolutions.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/margaretpengrogers/Invitation from Lori: This episode is sponsored by Zen Rabbit. Smart business leaders know trust is the foundation of every great workplace. And in today's hybrid and fast-moving work culture, trust isn't built in quarterly town halls or the occasional Slack message. It's built through consistent, clear, and HUMAN communication. Companies and leaders TALK about the importance of connection and community. And it's easy to believe your organization is doing a great job of maintaining an awesome corporate culture. Because you've got annual all-hands meeting
