Welcome to Season two of Taming Tribulation. In season two, Wyatt and Jeremy will be reading through & commentating on the biblical story of David, King Of Israel. We start at 1 Samuel 16:1-17 with the anointing of David as Kind of Israel. 

In this episode, Wyatt & Jeremy have a conversation with Dr. Stanley Andrisse. Stanley grew up in a disadvantaged community and family, and began selling drugs at 13 years old. In his young adulthood he became one of the biggest dealers in the St Louis area. Eventually he got caught and was sentenced to 10 years behind bars. While in prison, Stanley lost his father to Type 2 Diabetes. That tragedy put Stanley on a path to becoming an Endocrinologist and Assistant Professor at Howard University    Stanley is the author of From Prison Cells to PHD, Its Never Too Late To Do Good and is the creator of an organization by the same name. In this Fathers day episode, Wyatt, Jeremy, and their guest Neil D'Souza discuss three drastically different experiences of who their fathers were to them growing up, who they are now as adults, and what they learned about the kind of fathers they want to be from those experiences.  Jeremy never met his Father. He is now 30 years old Neil's Father was an abusive alcoholic for many of Neils younger years before he became the father Neil needed and showed him what kind of father he wanted to be. R.L. Shawver is Father to a son named Sam. In the first 18 months of Sam's life he had to undergo 6 open heart surgeries. R.L. tells us what it was like seeing his newborn son having such traumatic procedures done and how he and his wife at the time found joy even in some of the darkest moments.  R.L. is the Author of "For This Child I Have Prayed". When Kim Sorrelle was diagnosed with breast cancer, things seemed pretty bad. But only 4 months after her diagnosis her husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away only 6 week after.  Kim Sorrelle is the author of Love Is. A book she has written in order to help herself and others come to an understanding of what the word "Love" truly means.
