A Soccer Podcast dedicated to keeping you informed about and bringing you the best stories from the Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty
WE ARE SO BACK! Jeremy and Brandon have a great time with discussions about the new season, new players, and the upcoming challenges we'll face on and off the pitch. For the first pod since Hurricane Helene, we went all out with player analysis, projections, and potential pitfalls - mostly based on vibes and a little data (just like old times).
In this week's episode, we discuss the two recent losses to Charlotte and Omaha with our thoughts about our play, the officiating, and more. We also discuss the remaining run of games, college soccer, and our all-time favorite Triumph XIs.
In this week's episode we discuss the soccer in our lives, local college soccer, the English Premier League, and USL L1. We spend most of our time breaking down the two most recent games against Richmond and Northern Colorado before previewing one of the season's most important games this Friday against Charlotte. We also discuss a milestone for the TLP Pod.
This week, we talk (very little) about the loss to Charlotte and where that leaves us for the Jaeger Cup and the upcoming game at home against Richmond. We also interviewed Doug Erwin, the vice chairman and CBO of Greenville Pro Soccer. We had a fantastic conversation with him about Hummel/merch, NCAA Football 25, future stadium conversations, and more!
In our newest episode, we break down our two most recent games: what went well, what went wrong, and what hope we have for the upcoming games. We also discuss the Jaeger cup standings, how we can clinch a spot in the tournament's knockout stage, and hot takes for who we think WILL NOT join us. Listen till the end for a discussion about a mid-season survey for our podcast! Here's the link to our mid-season survey: https://forms.gle/a1figmfdtcTSUfM47
In this episode, we talk about new ownership stakes and it's possible implications, break down the loss against Omaha, and we also interview Michael Covil, otherwise known as GVL Goals on Twitter (or X or whatever) and Instagram. We also discuss the upcoming Jaeger cup game against Richmond.
This week, we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Mark Ward, the assistant coach of the Greenville Triumph. He talks about his coaching career, new signings, impact players, and the Triumph's season so far. He also has a solid deep-cut cereal choice.
After 4 games in the W League and League One, Jeremy and Brandon recap everything that's happened this past week. Madison signing yet another striker, 4 league games to break down, MORE W LEAGUE PLAYOFF SPOTS NEEDED, and even the Triumph airport bar. Lot's of great info and tactical insight as we head into a nice summer break for the squads.
This week, we interviewed Gio CaƱas to talk about his love for Greenville teams, how he got his start, and he stuck around to talk about how the previous and upcoming games for the Triumph and the Liberty.
We're back with a bang! We discuss recent runs of form with the Triumph and Liberty, break down the loss against Chattanooga and talk about encouraging signs for the games ahead against our rivals Asheville City and Tormenta. We also discuss great ideas for extra time and important statistics regarding peaches and JJ Watt.
We sit down with Jamie Smith to talk about his career so far, the best food in town, and the art of a good penalty. (of course we talked about THAT goal too)
This week's episode discusses the previous Jaeger cup game against Richmond, our away game against Madison, and the upcoming rivalry doubleheader for the Triumph and the Liberty against Tormenta and Asheville City. We also dive into some expansion news in League One!
Join us for our preview of the Greenville Liberty Season with Coach Carlson.
After a tough Open Cup exit, the Triumph gain a massive road win against the Ibises of South Georgia and seem to have eradicated the swamp magic that plagued our win column for so long. We discuss the win in Statesboro, New Liberty signings, preview our first game in the Jaegermeister cup, and answer your questions!
When times get tough, The Triumph go on the road again. We go all the way back to Star Wars night and discuss the elation of a big win in front of a big crowd, talk new Liberty signings and discuss the tribulations of this past week. It's bound to be tough from time to time as "You must pay for everything in this world one way or another" after all.
We hearken back to 1983 to attempt to reconcile what is going on with the Triumph at the moment. So much fun, so much chaos and we get to cover it all. We recap the Lexington game, the open cup match against Knoxville, discuss our draw in the third round of the open cup, and preview our match Saturday against Northern Colorado. We also go over the current Liberty Signings and where you can find the Liberty Archive Project by GVL Goals (@gvlgoals). Join us for a great podcast and stay for the small discussion about NC State. Another Week, another pod. We talked open cup, reviewed the Forward Madison Match, and hung out with our friends from Crane Kicks Lex to discuss the first ever USL game on the Golazo network between the Triumph and the other green team. Come for great soccer convos, stick around for stories about Rick Flair and fun trivia.
What a great night at Paladin Stadium! We talk about the goals, players that impressed us the most, and some improvements to look forward to after a 3-1 win against newcomers Spokane Velocity. We also answer your submitted questions ranging from stuff about bulls to Gio CaƱas' hair care products. Jeremy went to see Dune 2 and was kinda secretive about what actually goes on in the movie, only divulging that it's a good movie. We decided that there is a decent alternative to watching the entire series if you don't want to spend 4-5 hours in front of a screen.
Our very first podcast about the Triumph! We discuss everything before and after the first kick of 2024 from coaching changes and new players arriving to our predictions about the starting eleven and where we'll end up at the end of the season. Also, Jeremy has never seen the movie Frozen and Brandon terribly describes it. No one got closer to understanding it.
