Across America — and right here in Kansas — the political establishment is cutting We the People out of the process of governance. In this episode of The Right Side, Doug Billings exposes a dangerous and growing pattern: major decisions being made behind closed doors, without public votes, without transparency, and without consent. From government fraud buried by the media, to election systems that resist scrutiny, to global institutions operating without accountability — and finally to the Kansas City Chiefs deal pushed forward by political elites without giving Kansans a voice — this episode connects the dots. This is not about football. It's not about party labels. It's about process, power, and consent.A republic does not fall overnight. It erodes when the people are excluded. If we reward this behavior, we will get more of it.Support the show
STARSHIP: THE FULLY REUSABLE ARCHITECTURE FOR MARS Colleague Eric Berger. At Boca Chica, Texas, SpaceX transformed a swamp into "Starbase," a modern rocket factory for the Starship and Super Heavy launch system. Starship represents the endgame of Musk's vision: a fully reusable rocket larger than the Saturn V, designed to be caught by "chopstick" arms on the launch tower to eliminate landing legs and speed up reuse. The plan involves orbital refueling and launching fleets of ships every two years to transport massive amounts of cargo, serving as a "Grand Central Station" for deep space colonization. According to a WSJ analysis, the epicenter for Stand Your Ground killings is in the state where the laws were first enacted: Florida. From 2021 through 2024, the Jacksonville area had a larger share of its homicides classified as justifiable killings by civilians than any U.S. city or county with a population greater than 500,000. WSJ's Hannah Critchfield reports on the law's unintended consequences and one case labelled as a self-defense killing, where no killer came forward at all. Valerie Bauerlein hosts and reveals a major update on the Scott Spivey case. On a lonely stretch of Route 54, the Great Cypress Swamp turns the Delaware–Maryland border into a wall of black water, twisted roots, and bad stories. In the 1960s, drivers began reporting something impossible in their headlights: a towering, fur-covered creature wielding a club with a railroad spike through the end. It screamed, it charged cars… and then it vanished back into the pines. If you're into cryptid lore, American roadside legends, and the blurry line between prank and paranormal, this one's for you. Remaining items we have for sale - https://shop.walkinlove.com/ This week's episode is intentionally light as we head into Christmas Day. We're recording from our new basement studio for the first time, talking about what Christmas morning will actually look like for our family, the traditions we're keeping (and tweaking), and why staying home all day has become our favorite move. We do What I Googled, share a few Strong Feelings (including full commitment to cookie content season), build a Mount Rushmore of things we wanted in our stockings as kids—and still want now—and absolutely lose it laughing over a story about a koala living in a swamp. It somehow involves panic, running away very fast, and possibly pooping your pants. We could not recover. If you want something easy, familiar, and fun in your ears this week, this one's for you. Okay I love you bye. If you love what we do and want more behind-the-scenes fun, bonus episodes, and exclusive content, join the walk in love. Podcast Membership today!
The DOJ is now taking legal action against 4 states and DC for refusing to share voter roll information.. The whole reason behind Fani Willis's election interference case against President Trump disintegrates as evidence of widespread election fraud in Fulton County makes Joe Biden's win in the Peach State laughable. Former NBC anchor Chuck Todd passes the blame for the media's horrendous approval ratings to everything other than the media. Former gubernatorial candidate and state senator Dr. Scott Jensen joins us live from Minnesota to share his views on the rampant fraud under Tim Walz.
The name Ed Carlson is synonymous with the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and he could rightfully be described as a legendary figure in the Southwest Florida environmental community. He passed away on Dec. 9 at the age of 75. Carlson's stewardship of the sanctuary began when he stumbled into an internship right as he was graduating from high school in Miami in the late 1960s. He studied zoology and ornithology in college at University of South Florida with an eye on working with the land and water and wildlife. When Audubon received a grant to study wetlands from the National Science Foundation - right as he graduated from USF - it led him back to the sanctuary and he never left. We remember him through a conversation recorded in 2019.

Steve sits down with Sam Dewey, attorney with the Oversight Project, to dig into what he says is another glaring example of Washington's two-tier system of justice. Dewey breaks down allegations that Senator Lindsey Graham has received millions tied to legal defense fundraising, while Americans connected to President Trump's 2020 election challenges and subsequent pardon recipients were left with nothing. The Oversight Project isn't buying the excuses, and Dewey explains why they're calling foul, demanding accountability, and asking why political insiders seem to play by a completely different set of rules than everyday citizens.

Jerry is back to continue our ongoing series of encounters from the South Mountains and coastal regions of North Carolina—and this chapter takes us deep into one of the most haunting landscapes in the state: the Great Dismal Swamp. In this episode, we hear the chilling account of Mike, a former U.S. military veteran who sets out alone on a hiking and camping trip in the North Carolina section of the swamp.Drawn by solitude and the familiar pull of danger he once knew in the service, Mike hopes the wilderness will fill the void left behind after military life. Instead, the swamp delivers something far more disturbing. As night falls, Mike becomes aware that he's not alone. Strange ape-like vocalizations echo through the darkness. A foul, unfamiliar odor lingers in the air. The sense of being watched grows overwhelming. What begins as unease escalates into a series of close, deeply unsettling encounters with something he cannot identify—something that doesn't want him there. His search for adrenaline is quickly replaced by raw fear and survival instincts. The episode also weaves in parallel encounters from Robert and Angie, along with their friends, near a rural home in coastal North Carolina. Their experiences include unexplained noises in the woods, rocks being thrown from unseen sources, and shadowy figures moving just beyond the tree line—events that mirror Mike's terror and suggest a wider, ongoing presence in the region.Blending wilderness survival, psychological tension, and the supernatural, this episode explores the ancient history and eerie reputation of the Great Dismal Swamp while confronting the unnerving question: what still lives in these forgotten places—and why do some people encounter it while others never do?Get Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteSupport Our SponsorsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.

A new documentary explores how author and activist Marjory Stoneman Douglas transformed how we think about the Everglades.
BT expresses his absolute exhaustion over the "brutal" state of New York football, comparing the pathetic performance of the two teams. With the Giants at 2-12 and the Jets only marginally better, he notes the irony that they are performing like "mirror images" of failure, locked in a depressing race for the bottom of the standings. The only remaining discussion points are the looming off-season, including draft talk and coaching changes—a narrative he's been "hitting for so many months." Tierney uses the Giants' recent failed game-winning drive attempt as a grim example of the season's overall ineptitude.

What do swamp volleyball, software debugging, and self-doubt have in common? A lot more than you'd think. In this episode, Anne sits down with Kari Sipinen (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kari-sipinen), a Finnish-born engineer, world-champion swamp volleyball player, and all-around discomfort-zone explorer, who has turned mud, mistakes, and mindfulness into a philosophy for life.Kari shares how wading waist-deep in the muck during the World Championship of Swamp Volleyball taught him about teamwork, humility, and the magic of taking action even when you can't see solid ground. (Spoiler: sometimes the best life lessons happen when you're stuck in the mud—literally.)Drawing from his work as an embedded software engineer, Kari compares debugging to personal growth—each problem is like peeling an onion, revealing new layers of understanding beneath the surface. He unpacks his love of intuition—which he describes as being “in learning”—and how listening to your inner data can lead to surprising breakthroughs. In This EpisodeThe connection between engineering, intuition, and personal growthWhy curiosity matters more than confidenceWhy he call it “imposter phenomenon” (not syndrome)How turning on your metaphorical flashlight helps you illuminate the next step toward your dreams.Beyond engineering, Kari is a champion on and off the court, winning the Swamp Volleyball World Championship in 2019 and sharing his love of music through a 62+ hour Spotify playlist. An ordinary Savonian with a Renaissance spirit, he is committed to legacy, openness, and intellectual humility. Please join me in welcoming to the stage — Kari Sipinen!

Tennessee scored on its first four possessions, didn't allow a first down until early in the second quarter and led 31-0 at halftime. Tennessee rushed for 248 yards to move to 8-3. We recap the win from the Florida coaching booth at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in the earliest-morning hours in Gainesville. Today, we're diving headfirst into the cesspool of corruption that defines the elite club you and I were never invited to join. President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 421-1 House vote forcing the Justice Department to unleash the unclassified horrors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell's world—flight logs, trafficking networks, immunity deals, and the names of the powerful who danced with devils. But Mike Johnson's sudden “national security” excuse? Who's he protecting? Victims are screaming for justice, Trump flip-flopped from “hoax” to “nothing to hide,” and Larry Summers just quit OpenAI after admitting he's in the files. Megyn Kelly's calling out media complicity, and survivors like Jena-Lisa Jones are begging Trump to invite them to the Oval. This isn't transparency—it's a cover-up.Then there's Kristi Noem, the DHS secretary who allegedly funneled $220 million to a firm tied to her own campaign, bypassing every rule in the book. ProPublica's got the receipts, and Jasmine Crockett's not mincing words—corruption's the name of the game. Noem's not alone; the swamp is a hydra, and every head we cut off reveals another. It's the club of the elite, where money and power reign, and we're left holding the bill.Patriots, the Republic's on life support, and the stench of the swamp is choking us out. From Epstein's shadow to Noem's graft, it's everywhere, and they're not even trying to hide it anymore. George Carlin said it best: “It's a big club, and you ain't in it.” Well, today we're crashing the party. Lock in, bring the rage, or watch your country turn into their playground. This isn't a show—it's a declaration of war.

What if the creature stalking the swamps of Florida isn't flesh and blood at all? In this chilling sit-down, Tony and Stacy Brown Jr. retrace the night his father captured one of the most compelling Bigfoot videos ever filmed, and the haunting encounters that followed. Driven to prove the truth of what he's seen, Stacy reveals his new docu-series, Bigfoot: The Journey to Belief; a quest to turn skeptics into believers. As they unravel stories of unseen watchers, eerie lights, and strange voices in the dark, a question emerges: are these beings beasts of the wild, or something far more supernatural? Please pray for Tony's wife, Lindsay, as she battles breast cancer. Your prayers make a difference! This week, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, the body of a man is found, inside of a plastic moving tub, with no legs, deep in the bayou. Detectives suspect his girlfriend, but quickly change course, when she is also found, in exactly the same condition. Tips lead police to a couple, who claim to be best frineds with the dead couple, but fingerprints, and paint samples say they're actually murderers. But will blaming a rival biker gang get them off the hook? Along the way, we find out that detectives don't want to do their jobs, just like the rest of us, that painting everything in sight is a definite symptom of too much meth, and that you can't just blame other bikers for things, regardless of evidence!!
