Shakira BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Shakira has been making headlines yet again this week, not only for her artistry but for the ongoing evolution of her remarkable career and personal life. Most notably, the Colombian superstar took center stage at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony on July 26, electrifying the audience with her performance of Hips Dont Lie remixed with her newest single. French media such as Le Parisien and international outlets like Billboard are calling it a show-stealing moment, solidifying her status as a global pop icon and the first Latina to headline the ceremonies. Social media exploded, with millions sharing clips and reactions, trending her name worldwide within minutes of the broadcast.Amid the dazzling performance, Shakira is simultaneously riding high from her recent business collaborations. In the past few days, she announced an exclusive partnership with a leading Spanish streaming platform, RTVE, for a behind-the-scenes documentary series chronicling her musical journey, a move being interpreted by entertainment analysts as signaling a deeper engagement with her Spanish-speaking fanbase.Businesswise, Shakira's fragrance line, S by Shakira, made news as it launched a new summer scent collection. Vogue España noted retail sellouts within hours and praised the campaign for its representation of diverse women—a recurring theme in Shakira's branding strategy. On the humanitarian front, the superstar gave a rare English-language interview with BBC World News on July 27, where she discussed her ongoing education initiatives in Colombia and plans to expand outreach through her Barefoot Foundation. The interview included brief commentary on the political climate in her home country, which sparked thoughtful conversations across Latin American Twitter communities. From a personal standpoint, rumors briefly swirled regarding a supposed new romance with an Italian entrepreneur. However, Spanish tabloid ¡Hola! clarified that these recent dinner outings were purely professional, connected to business meetings about her upcoming fashion line.Wrapping up the week, Shakira acknowledged her enduring influence with a playful Instagram post celebrating the 20th anniversary of her hit Fijación Oral album, captioned, Sometimes I feel like I have lived nine lives. Global top 10 mentions and millions of likes followed, reinforcing her continued relevance and beloved status. No legal issues or new controversies have emerged in the past few days. This latest stretch underscores Shakira's ability to blend artistry, activism, business savvy, and personal poise, marking another significant chapter in her ongoing legacy.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber is firmly back in the spotlight after releasing his surprise seventh studio album Swag on July 11, 2025, under Def Jam. The album marks his first full-length release in over four years and features 21 tracks with a star-studded lineup, including Gunna, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, Druski, and Marvin Winans on the gospel-tinged closer Forgiveness, signaling a more mature and vulnerable direction. Swag's sudden arrival was teased by global billboards and a dramatic reveal of the tracklist in New York's Times Square, which sent fans and the music press into overdrive. The reception: the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and its emotionally raw lyrics—touching on fatherhood, mental health challenges, and family life—have been widely praised as a new peak in Bieber's artistic evolution according to Coast1045 and confirmed by People. In tandem with the album drop, Bieber made headlines for his very public affection toward wife Hailey Bieber, reposting her bikini photos from Mallorca on his Instagram Stories with an over-the-top reaction and sparking a fresh wave of positive gossip about their marriage. The couple, who married in 2018 and welcomed their first child Jack in August 2024, spent the album release weekend celebrating together. According to People, Hailey played a major role in supporting Justin's creative freedom on Swag, especially since he parted ways with longtime manager Scooter Braun in 2023—a move that Rolling Stone reports allowed Bieber to finally work on his own terms.Speculation swirled on social media about a possible return to touring, with fans noticing hints in Bieber's posts and some outlets suggesting a potential world tour announcement. However, Los40 and Extra Chill clarify that nothing official has been announced, and sources close to Bieber suggest ongoing caution due to his past struggles with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and mental health issues that led to the cancellation of his previous Justice World Tour. Skepticism remains regarding any major festival appearances for 2025, with Coachella insiders pointing to organizers' preference for stability over headline drama. On the business front, Bieber's estimated net worth stands at $300 million as detailed by Fourth Wall Production, fueled not just by music but by his successful Drew House brand, the Generosity water startup, and strategic real estate investments from Beverly Hills to Europe. He's also expanded into the fashion world with his new line SKYLRK according to VinylMePlease, reinforcing his cultural reach well beyond music. Social media buzz remains intense. Bieber's Instagram brims with album promotion, candid snaps with Hailey, and playful nods to his personal life. He's also directly addressed rumors about his mental health, calling out “gossip” and affirming his commitment to his family and craft. In summary, Justin Bieber's week has been a masterclass in celebrity comeback, blending musical vulnerability, relationship affirmation, and business acumen, with every move scrutinized and celebrated by fans and media alike.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Interview by Kris PetersMelbourne rock outfit HZED are ready for a triumphant return to the Australian music scene with the release of their first new music in some time in the form of Heartbreaker. After undergoing personnel changes in recent years, HZED busied themselves and polished their unity by releasing live versions of previous songs recorded during that time, but with Heartbreaker they are back with a fresh, revitalised sound and renewed focus that should see the band quickly establish themselves in the growing pool of Australian talent. After releasing the audio for Heartbreaker on July 4, HZED are now preparing for the launch of the accompanying music video, due out on July 11.HEAVY sat down with Shannon (guitar) and Tenaye (vocals) to find out more."This is the first single we've actually released that's brand new since 2022, with the whole new line-up," Shannon began. "So it's pretty exciting."We ask how the first audio release has been received."It's been great," Shannon continued. "Everybody's loving it. They're loving how big it's sounding and how different we're going.""I think it showcases how much we've evolved as a band and how we've got this whole new era," Tenaye added. "Now that we've got Hannah, we've definitely got a heavier, fuller sound too. And it's really showcased in the single as well."In the full interview, we discussed their strategy of releasing the audio first to generate anticipation before the video launch, with plans to release new singles every three months and potentially an album in the future. We spoke about the video and what to expect, including the basic storyline of the song.We also ran through HZED's upcoming run of shows and what to expect, the future of the band moving forward, and more.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/heavy-music-interviews--2687660/support.

The Royal Rumble delivered shockers, surprises, and history-making moments, and Wrestling Tonight is here to break it all down! Jey Uso pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Royal Rumble history, eliminating John Cena to secure his spot in the WrestleMania 41 main event. Michael Cole called it the biggest upset in Rumble history, and now Uso faces a career-defining decision—will he challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship or Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in Las Vegas? The surprises didn't stop there. The Women's Royal Rumble saw the long-awaited return of Charlotte Flair, making a stunning comeback after over a year away due to injury. Entering at #27, she powered through the field and eliminated Roxanne Perez to become the first woman in history to win multiple Royal Rumble matches. Meanwhile, the night was packed with unforgettable moments—AJ Styles made a shocking return, TNA Champion Joe Hendry had a surreal WWE debut, and even internet sensation IShowSpeed got involved in the chaos. Beyond the Royal Rumble, WWE made headlines with a mix of celebration and controversy. Paul "Triple H" Levesque received a surprise WWE Hall of Fame induction, marking an emotional milestone for the industry legend and creative mastermind. But elsewhere, Janel Grant's explosive lawsuit continues to rock WWE, now involving Brock Lesnar, Nick Khan, and other top names. The company is also making major business moves, with the announcement of WWE Evolve—a new developmental show set to premiere on Tubi under the guidance of Gabe Sapolsky. Meanwhile, MLS made waves by shifting its studio operations to WWE headquarters, marking an unexpected crossover between sports and entertainment. And in the independent scene, chaos erupted when Joey Janela and Derek Bostic reignited an old feud in a wild ringside brawl. Over in AEW, big moves are happening as well—Megan Bayne has officially signed with the company, Grand Slam Australia's start time is set, and Moxley vs. Cope is locked in for Revolution in Los Angeles. And as the wrestling world looks ahead, Dark Side of the Ring is returning with a stacked Season 6 lineup, featuring deep dives into Big Van Vader, Tony Atlas, Billy Jack Haynes, and more. We've got all this and more as we dive deep into the latest in WWE, AEW, and beyond!
