Welcome back to the Bayou City Soccer Podcast! In this episode, the guys break down a tough week for the Houston Dynamo, starting with their disappointing exit from the U.S. Open Cup at the hands of Austin FC. A heavily rotated Dynamo side struggled against Austin's first-choice lineup, and a controversial penalty decision only added to the challenge—even as some regular starters saw minutes in the second half. The conversation then shifts to the weekend clash in San Jose, where Houston raced to a 2-0 lead before conceding three unanswered goals to Bruce Arena's Earthquakes. But in true Dynamo fashion, the team didn't quit—Griffin Dorsey delivered a dramatic late equalizer to salvage a point on the road.Looking ahead, Ben Olsen and the squad face a midweek trip to New York City, followed by a return home to Shell Energy Stadium for a key matchup against Sporting Kansas City before the upcoming FIFA break.Tune in for match analysis, key player performances, and what's next for the Dynamo!-And much more!-We invite you to follow us at Bayou City Soccer!-BayouCitySoccer.net-@BayouCitySoccer on Facebook, IG, and Twitter-Hit us up using our hashtag #AskBCS-Hosts:@rudysegura3 on Twitter@crisputallaz on Twitter-Again, BayouCitySoccer.net for everything!

Last week started well for the Fire, with a dominant 4-1 win on the road against Charlotte FC powered by two goals and an assist for Brian Gutierrez. It ended Sunday with a 1-0 lead that turned into a 3-1 loss to NYCFC at Yankee Stadium in large part due to Gutierrez elbowing an opponent in the face and being sent off. This will be the second time he's been suspended this season, and by the end of the suspension he will have missed seven matches due to either suspension, injury or national team duty. What do we make of the enigma that is Guti? Also, the Fire advanced in the Open Cup and we now know their path to a potential record breaking fifth title. Can they do it? Should it be prioritized over the league? Alex is joined by Kiril Anastasov of Chicago Sports Nation for all that and more.

Tony Meola and Benny Feilhaber take the reins of the show - and there's plenty to talk about. The USMNT drops its 60-man preliminary Gold Cup roster, and once again there's no Gio Reyna (04:23). Meanwhile, it was a silverware-stacked weekend for Americans abroad: Chris Richards and Matt Turner made FA Cup history at Wembley, four Yanks helped PSV lift the Eredivisie title, and Damion Downs sealed promotion and a 2. Bundesliga championship (27:06). On the flip side, AC Milan miss out on Europe - could that actually benefit Christian Pulisic (34:50)? Plus, a U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 preview (48:17) - can the Pittsburgh Riverhounds play giant-killer again? - and a head-scratcher from LA Galaxy - why announce Greg Vanney's contract extension now (55:20)?
