You Activated My Podcast!

Greetings, duelists! As you might guess from the title, we're putting the show on an indefinite hiatus. Our goal has always been to make the show for fun, and recently felt it slipping closer and closer into "obligation" territory, so we're taking a step back for a little bit to figure out how to make it fun again. It’s a dark night in a city that knows its way around a duel. One forbidden monster and his two disembodied arms need money fast. What follows is the thrilling (?) end to the first half of ENTER THE TASK DUNGEON.Also, this week Jimmy and Tyler discuss two bonkers episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh, the ascension of Noah’s Ark, and the birth of that one Joey meme.

You know, of all the body-snatching movies out there, very few of them focus on what happens when multiple people snatch the same body, then need to play a card game against children. If nothing else, I’m so glad that Yu-Gi-Oh could bring this clearly underserved story to the masses…Ah, who am I kidding, this episode blows chunks. Join Jimmy and Tyler for a discussion of the first two parts of “Merger of the Big 5”, two episodes that nearly made Tyler sick, and continue to disappoint Jimmy to his very core. Will we ever figure out who exactly Noah is? What are the actual rules around Deck Masters? Why aren’t Tea, Duke, and Serenity doing anything useful???Later, High Commissioner Lauren joins us for a business lesson like no other!

It’s Turkey Day, and a lot of you are probably finding creative ways to safely spend it around loved ones. We wanted to bring you this weird, silly episode as an excuse to put in headphones for a while, and focus on yourself. You earned it! Don’t worry, your Dad and your Duncle said it was OK.

As we venture further into the cyberverse with Yugi and the gang, Tyler unveils Jimmy Wins 4, an online game for everyone! Then, join us as we discuss baby noises, Noah’s revelations, Kaiba’s Goodfellas impressions, and all the ways in which Mokuba is like a small bird. Later, High Commissioner Lauren joins us for a short celebration, and a body-snatching task with a shocking twist!

We’re back, and Tyler spins a plotz-worthy tale of woe before we jump into an episode all about this great big (virtual) world of ours. Well, it’s about that and family, but the important part is that moment where we reenact the entire plot of Gravity but replace Sandra Bullock with Blue Eyes White Dragon. Later, High Commissioner Lauren joins us for a high fantasy task dungeon quest! What’s a little pretend regicide between friends?

Happy Halloween! I think I’ve edited most of the curse out of this episode, but your mileage may vary. It took three wireless networks, one of our computers completely rebooting, and a blood sacrifice to record this one, so that’s how my week’s gone!
