Some mornings start with coffee. This one starts with raccoons tap dancing across Lern's roof at two in the morning and somehow only gets weirder from there.Lern discovers she's apparently hosting an all-you-can-eat wildlife buffet, which leads the crew down a rabbit hole of animal enthusiasts, backyard turtles, salmonella debates, and the legendary woman who accidentally assembled an army of hungry raccoons. As always, common sense takes a back seat while the jokes grab the wheel. Then the conversation shifts full steam ahead—literally—as Union Pacific's legendary Big Boy 4014 rolls toward St. Louis. The crew dives headfirst into train culture after discovering internet train icon Francis Bourgeois, whose pure joy over locomotives leaves everyone questioning whether they've ever truly loved anything as much as this man loves steam engines. Somewhere between "Where's Big Boy?" and "Amy is definitely out of his league," the gang realizes maybe the happiest people are just the ones who never let go of what made them smile as kids.Of course, no Rizz Show conversation stays on the tracks for long. The crew spirals into a surprisingly heartfelt discussion about hobbies, why adults forget how to be excited, and whether cooking, traveling, napping, or even shame qualify as legitimate pastimes. The debate somehow becomes both hilarious and oddly philosophical before making one of the hardest left turns imaginable......straight into 90s mall nostalgia.Remember Sam Goody? Spencer's? Gadzooks? Waldenbooks? Radio Shack? KB Toys? Sharper Image? Orange Julius? The gang does, and what starts as a simple conversation about Gen Z returning to malls quickly becomes a full-blown trip through America's greatest retail memories. From candy stores and arcades to awkward trips through Spencer's "back section," every mall kid from the 80s and 90s will find themselves laughing along.Throw in stories about growing up, childhood obsessions, bizarre shopping trends, unforgettable stores, and the kind of sarcastic chaos only this crew can create, and you've got another episode that somehow manages to be completely ridiculous while also reminding everyone it's okay to stay excited about the things you love.Whether you're here for celebrity-level steam engines, wildlife gone wild, nostalgic mall memories, or just another morning of organized nonsense, this episode delivers exactly what you'd expect from The Rizzuto Show—and probably several things you never saw coming. If you love a daily comedy show full of weird news, hilarious conversations, pop culture detours, and friends roasting each other while somehow stumbling into surprisingly wholesome moments, this episode belongs at the top of your playlist. Thanks for making The Rizzuto Show part of your morning. Whether you're listening in St. Louis, across the country, or hiding from raccoons on your own roof, we're glad you're here for another daily comedy show that proves reality is almost always funnier than fiction.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Whether you're listening in St. Louis, across the country, or hiding from raccoons on your own roof, we're glad you're here for another daily comedy show that proves reality is almost always funnier than fiction.Apparently now people collect garbage from outside Taylor Swift's wedding. Naturally, the crew has questions... and absolutely zero chill.Weirdest celebrity stories we've seen in a while: an artist sweeping trash off the streets outside Madison Square Garden after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, sealing it into tiny cubes, and somehow selling every single one. Is it brilliant performance art? A genius business move? Or proof that fandom has officially reached another dimension? The debate gets surprisingly heated as everyone tries to decide where "historic memorabilia" ends and "literal garbage" begins. Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities featuring everything from Mick Jagger regretting never meeting Elvis Presley, Tom Cruise's bizarre new comedy, Marvel updates, Spaceballs 2, NASCAR music, Netflix turning Monopoly into a reality competition, Adam Driver rumors, Freddy Krueger's return, celebrity birthdays, and enough pop culture chaos to make your group chat explode.Along the way, you'll also hear discussions about celebrity divorces, whether meeting your heroes is actually a bad idea, why Jason somehow ended up taking Manhattan, Moon discovering famous adopted celebrities, and Rizz nearly wiping out at the post office because apparently gravity remains undefeated. We immediately start with Rizz proudly showing off his latest consequence from a charity auction: a pair of very noticeable uterus earrings. What follows is exactly the kind of conversation you'd expect from this crew... except somehow even stranger. There's an anatomy lesson, fashion critiques, ear piercing stories, unexpected bonding moments, and the official formation of the "Plug Brothers." We wish we were making that up.Naturally, the arguments become just as entertaining as the answers. Is coconut water the same thing as coconut milk? Does "glass slipper" deserve extra credit? How many lanes are actually on a standard running track? Nobody can simply answer a question and move on when this group is involved.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.When to see Big Boy No. 4014 locomotive in St. LouisGen Z is making shopping malls cool againFormer Olympic, Penn State gymnast arrested in pet store attackFlorida Man Guilty Of Vacuum Cleaner SexSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
… Feeling Don't Care About Your Facts (Ep. 332) Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky Download Sponsor (Yehoshua Sova): I just went through ALL 326 Shiurim at double speed the past few months- GADZOOKS! Been a follower of yours since the Platinum Platonic Relationships tape. Also had to stop running/driving like Rabbis Sharfman/Krohn to prevent any collateral damage deaths due to laughter from the show. I would love to hear the Rav's take on the following: Red Flags I have seen in my life and how YOU can learn from my mistakes. For example:- The unfortunate situations of the ex son in laws- surely there were things that you saw and how we could be protected (besides the people who withheld info). Your Daughters should find their Bashert soon and enough of the pain that they are experiencing!- Psychotic teachers/adminstrators.- Dealing with "real" crazies- not the Rabbi Orlofsky ones!- What was so dark about being a Mashgiach?- Who was someone that you looked up to as a role model and had it dashed and the signs were there for you to see the entire time? The truth is I would love to host you on my TorahAnytime channel and 24/6 channel (I am also not on Naki Radio ;-)) as a podcast interview and this sponsorship ploy I am doing now was actually suggested by you! This opener of questions I always had can be part of a continued list of pressing questions I would love to ask at a later time if the Rav would like to entertain such an idea. Wishing continued Hatzlacha with all of the VERY powerful Divrei Chizuk mixed with great pop culture references and songs! Your Talmid- Rabbi Yehoshua Sova - Miami Beach
Segment 1: Zendaya continues to feed the rumors that she and Tom Holland were secretly married. The “Euphoria” star was seen wearing what appears to be a wedding ring to the premiere of her new film, “The Drama”. She previously appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying that even some of her close friends were disappointed to NOT be invited to the wedding, which evidently didn't happen. Or did it? Segment 2: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco spent time on the beach following criticism of Blanco's dirty feet. Gomez posted a pic of them posing for a puckered-up selfie in front of a giant poster of Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in “Wuthering Heights,” in a sun-filled living room overlooking a body of water. Hopefully, Benny dipped those dirty feet of his in the WATER. Segment 3: Jennifer Lopez was performing at her Las Vegas residency show when she tripped on stage at the Colisseum at Caesar's Palace while performing her 2011 hit “On the Floor.” Lopez, 56, was wearing a sparkly, black bodysuit with a giant red rose broach, when she went to kick her leg up and tripped. She's lucky her ASS didn't end up “ON THE FLOOR.” Segment 4: Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz seem to be getting serious. Yep. Despite them previously saying that they were “not exclusive”, they appear to be finding more time to be together. The couple was recently seen strolling around New York City arm in arm. Looks like Harry's celebrating his #1 album, ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally' with his…AMERICAN GIRL. Segment 5: Michael B Jordan won the Best Actor Oscar for “Sinners” and he credited past winners that came before him like Sidney Poitier and Halle Berry. Jessie Buckley became the first Irish actress to win the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in “Hamnet.” If you haven't seen “Hamnet” yet, make sure you have plenty of TISSUES on hand. What? No. I'm not crying. Segment 6: Dead Or Alive: Adrian Grenier is best known as the lead in the hit HBO series “Entourage” that ran from 2004 to 2011. Dead Or Alive? ALIVE. Grenier appeared in the 2006 film “The Devil Wears Prada” opposite Anne Hathaway but he was NOT asked to join the upcoming sequel. Grenier is now better known as WHO? Segment 7: Doja Cat revealed she's struggling with borderline personality disorder. She said, quote, “I've learned from a very young age to pretend that I like stuff, to pretend that I'm happy, to appear like everything is okay. I'm now struggling with borderline personality disorder”. Unquote. She has been touring for months so WHICH personality did fans SEE? Segment 8: Ariana Madix will return to host “Love Island” Season 8 on June 2nd, from Fiji. Plus, NBC Universal streamer Peacock will air “Love Island: Beyond The Villa” which will premiere April 15th. Madix used to be a bartender at SUR in West Hollywood before appearing on the reality show ‘Vanderpump Rules'. This all proves that people love to watch CRAP. Segment 9: Steve Carrell, best known for “The Office” stars in “Rooster”, which was HBO's most-watched comedy premiere in the U.S. in 10 years. It reached 2.4 million U.S. cross-platform viewers in the first three days and SINCE then, the audience for “Rooster” has grown four times since premiere night. Grown FOUR times? That's what SHE said. Segment 10: Idiot Of The Week – Bethenny Frankel sliced her face open while trying a new beauty tool. The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star filmed the aftermath of the incident and shared it as a warning to her followers on social media. Holding a bloody wipe to her face to stop the gashes along her jaw from bleeding, she continues to be a bonified IDIOT! Segment 11: Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour's black stratocaster sold for a HUGE amount of money. The guitar Gilmore played on such classics as “Money” and “Comfortably Numb” sold at Christie's for a whopping 14 million, 550 thousand dollars. The pre-auction estimate was between 2 and 4 million, so those estimators must have been from the dark side of the moon… Segment 12: 101 Studios, the producers of “Landman” and “Yellowstone,” has acquired rights to “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” a memoir by Bunnie Xo, aka MRS JELLYROLL. The best seller explores her rags-to-riches journey from a Las Vegas trailer park to media mogul-hood as the founder of Dumb Blonde Productions. She's now Jelly-Rollin' in cash. Segment 13: Larry David's HBO comedy series, “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America” will satirize the United States in celebration of its 250th anniversary. It will also feature fellow Curb Your Enthusiasm regulars Jeff Garlin, JB Smoove and Susie Essman, and will premiere June 26th. PRETTY, PRETTY GOOD. Segment 14: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce DID get out to celebrate the Oscar parties in LA, but they were pretty hard to find. They mainly hung out at THE most exclusive Oscar party – Madonna's shindig at Manager Guy Oseary's house in the Hollywood Hills. But the power couple was also seen later sneaking into Beyonce and Jay Z's party at Chateau Marmot. Hmm. Are they hiding something? Segment 15 – Trash Bin: Kanye West has been ordered to pay his former project manager, Tony Saxon, following a lawsuit over the rapper's Malibu home. Saxon wasn't paid, was seriously injured, and was wrongfully terminated while working on West's 57 million dollar mansion. Though Saxon had asked for 1.7 MILLION in damages, he received ONLY 140 grand. Yé. Segment 16: News Wrap Up a) As the world becomes more cashless, there's a decreasing need for bank branches and ATM's. b) Amazon Prime will cost $4.99 a month in the U.S., up from $2.99, starting April 10th. c) Nintendo sold 2.2 million units of “Pokémon Pokopia” in the first four days after its release. d) Amazon owned Zoox has reached a partnership to offer its robotaxis on Uber's app. GADZOOKS, man. That's GOOD news! Segment 17: Number Ones – Hoppers, Harry Styles, Procreate Pocket, Judge Stone Segment 18: Song Of The Week – Alex Warren – “Fever Dream” Alex Warren’s night at the Grammys should have been a career high for him but INSTEAD, his performance of “Ordinary” was marred by technical difficulties. He tried to do his best but the delay caused him to be out of sync with the music track. He was so down that he was convinced he was finished in the music industry. He posted a video later explaining what happened, but deleted all his social media, not wanting to see people's comments. It turned out he received 60 million views and people were SUPPORTIVE. And now, Warren is back with a new track which we LOVE. Here's Alex Warren with the Song of the Week, “Fever Dream.” That was Alex Warren with the Song of the Week, “Fever Dream.” The post LA SPINZ – March 23 2026 appeared first on LA Spinz.
Pour one out for Eddie Bauer, because today's daily comedy podcast starts with the official death of yet another mall staple — and immediately spirals into a full-blown nostalgia spiral that only The Rizzuto Show could pull off. What starts as bad news for quilted jackets turns into an emotional support group for anyone who ever owned an Eddie Bauer Bronco, Explorer, or vest their dad still refuses to throw away. From there, the crew goes deep into the archives of dead retail dreams. Blockbuster. Borders. KB Toys. Gadzooks. Sam Goody. Tower Records. Crestwood Mall (but ONLY the correct year). Everyone has a store they'd resurrect if given the chance, and the list keeps growing until it becomes painfully clear that malls didn't die — we just stopped going. Mostly because now we can buy everything online while wearing sweatpants and avoiding eye contact. Then things get darker. Way darker. The show reacts in real time to shocking news out of Branson involving a once-famous magician duo now facing serious federal charges. It's uncomfortable, infuriating, and handled the only way this daily comedy show knows how — honest reactions, zero tolerance, and immediate career-ending “ta-da.”Thankfully, the mood rebounds with actual good news (we know, weird): America's life expectancy just hit an all-time high. The crew debates what that means, who's optimistic, who's pessimistic, and whether eating garbage fast food within 100 yards of your house might be holding us back as a nation. Spoiler: it is.But criminals aren't done stealing the spotlight. High-tech thieves are now planting hidden cameras in shrubs to case houses, cloning key fobs to steal luxury vehicles, and proving once again that crime is apparently a tech startup now. The gang swaps personal horror stories about lost keys, cloned cars, and the terrifying realization that someone may have broken into a vehicle… and left because they couldn't drive stick. We wrap with scam text warnings, why replying “STOP” is a trap, and one absolutely unhinged car wash story involving a man who tried to enter through the exit like rules are optional suggestions. All of it adds up to another beautifully chaotic daily comedy show where the news is weird, the nostalgia hurts, and no one should ever trust a magician again.Branson magicians accused of sexual exploitation of childrenBurglars planting hidden cameras to scout Bay Area homesN.J. auto theft ring stole "millions of dollars worth" of vehicles, used Bronx garages as showroomsNEVER respond to junk or spam text messagesSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the daily comedy show that asks the important questions — like what genre is your life, why are all malls dying, and how did a World War I artillery shell end up in a man's body? The crew kicks things off by breaking down life as a movie genre. Is Rizz living a straight-up comedy? Is Lern trapped in a rom-com she didn't audition for? Is Moon starring in an action movie with jokes sprinkled in? And is Scott legally obligated to live inside a spaghetti western forever? Spoiler: Rafe's life may be a psychological thriller directed by someone who should not be allowed near a camera. From there, the show takes a nostalgic (and slightly depressing) turn as Eddie Bauer officially joins the retail graveyard. The gang runs through dead mall staples like Borders, Blockbuster, KB Toys, Gadzooks, Sports Authority, and basically your entire childhood. Crestwood Mall gets a full eulogy, Mid Rivers Mall gets absolutely roasted, and everyone agrees: online shopping killed the food court vibes. Then it's Super Bowl chaos. Kid Rock vs. Bad Bunny, alternative halftime shows, cultural representation, and why people are still mad about Maroon 5 years later. The crew also ranks the worst halftime performances of all time, and yes — Adam Levine's shirt removal is still haunting America. In news you didn't know you needed, February is statistically the safest month to not get punched in the face. Science says cold weather equals fewer fights, which leads to personal punch histories, parking-lot ego confessions, and a shocking chair-throwing fail from Australia where a guy absolutely destroys his own friend instead of a bouncer. And just when you think it can't get more unhinged, doctors in France discover a World War I shell inside a patient, triggering a hospital evacuation and a bomb squad visit no one wanted. It's a public service announcement wrapped in a cautionary tale wrapped in “please stop putting stuff there.”The episode also dives into rising U.S. life expectancy (good news!), Branson magician crime headlines (very bad news), and a man attempting to spend an entire year locked in one room to “get healthy,” which the crew debates is either inspiring discipline or a live-streamed mental breakdown. It's another daily comedy show episode that somehow educates, horrifies, and entertains — often at the same time. Laugh, cringe, and maybe stay indoors this February… for your face.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOAustralian man is hit with flying chair thrown by his friend outside strip clubFrenchman hospitalized after inserting WWI munition up his rearMan Has Locked Himself in a Room for 365 Days to Improve His Health — and Is Now Livestreaming His 'Isolation Year' 24/7106-year-old retailer closing US stores in Chapter 11 bankruptcySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Playlist;(sintonía) MOJO NIXON and SKID ROPER “Pirate radio” (Root hog or die, 1989)MOJO NIXON “Beer ain’t drinking” (Gadzooks!!! Night has fallen on the desert, our first big winter storms soaking the mountains and the coastlines, and now we're getting it pretty good in the southwestern deserts. There may even be a dusting of snow on the Joshua trees and the Yuccas and the junipers at the higher elevations, here and there. But a wet winter is visiting most of the American High Desert this Week of the Winter Solstice ... which used to be the same day as Christmas and New Year's and the Birthday of Dionysus.Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/desertoracleSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The guys are back together for the first time in a while for a coming attractions episode. They discuss memories of Maxim Magazine, educate themselves on Caitlyn Jenner (with no actual education involved) and question what's up with Kanye West. The conversation turns to cereal and movies being released without disclosing that they are musicals. They talk about the marvelous effects on Godzilla Minus One on a rock bottom budget and the last movie of the DCEU. They compare the box office success of The Marvels and Killers of the Flower Moon and give their thoughts on what is going to re-invigorate the MCU. They explore why North American guys don't seem to like playing as a girl. They talk about the logistical nightmare that is being Mr. Beast. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCORD - https://discord.gg/a6UEWh9zft PODCAST - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/miscast-commentary/id1145697204 WEBSITE - http://www.miscastcommentary.com/ TWITTER - https://twitter.com/miscastpodcast TIK TOK - https://www.tiktok.com/@miscastcommentary FACEBOOK - https://www.facebook.com/miscastcommentary TEEPUBLIC - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/miscast-commentary?ref_id=7636 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow Joe! In this rainy day episode, it's Cori's turn to pick, so you know what that means.... it's another Grandpa centric episode! We look at a potentially racy topic but still keep it family friendly. Bittenbinder - Millhouse quotes a famous movie - A Wendel animation error - Things we were learned as kids that have never become import things - London is forced into taking an Al Gore quiz - Patrick proposes a new segment that we're not so sure of - Our thoughts on Kate Mara - We also give some recommendations in our Act IV Segment: - Patrick recommends the new season of Black Mirror - Bryan talks about his very fulfilling couple of weeks - Cori recommends a few podcasts and The Electric Mayhem

Gadzooks! After more than 11 years of this nonsense horseplay, we're finally putting the ol' button back under the protective glass and pretending to go about our lives as well-respected adults who have it all figured out. Yes, the Comedy Button is coming to a close with episode 551, coming to you at the end of February. We've got all the details right here in this mini-episode, so if you don't want to go through life confused and bewildered about why your usual Friday podcast stopped appearing on the Zune Marketplace or wherever these things go now, give it a listen! Sincerely from your pals, Brian Altano, Scott Bromley, Ryan Scott, Max Scoville, and Kristin Van De Yar.
Prepare to embark on a captivating journey through the chronicles of JNCO Jeans, the ultimate 90s street style sensation. We have for you, a vivid recollection of how Jinko evolved from being a niche brand founded by the Riva brothers in 1985, to a nationwide phenomenon, and then saw an unfortunate decline. Strap in as we reflect on how the brand's unique ultra-wide leg styles and graffiti-inspired artwork gained immense popularity, led by the LA graffiti culture and skateboarding scene, only to lose its charm to market forces and counterfeits. As we maneuver through the success story of JNCO Jeans, we also reveal the hitches and hurdles that brought about its downfall. We discuss how the brand's expansion into khakis, tops, shoes, and a misguided attempt at marketing to teenage girls led to dilution of its core identity. Additionally, we delve into the influence of markdowns in stores like Pacific Sunwear and Gadzooks on the brand's appeal. It's certainly a rollercoaster ride, from the heights of popularity to the depths of decline. In the final segment of our discussion, we shift focus to the Afterschool Special Podcast's social media presence and its unique documentary-style approach. We discuss the nostalgic culture of the late 90s and early 2000s, the Riva brothers' monumental influence on the fashion industry, and how innovation sparked a wave of creativity and individuality. We also touch upon how fashion trends from the past are making their way back into the present. From the journey of JNCO Jeans to the broader influence of fashion trends, this episode offers a compelling insight into the ever-evolving world of fashion.

The most important thing we've learned, So far as children are concerned, Is never, NEVER, NEVER let Them near your television set - Or better still, just don't install The idiotic thing at all. In almost every house we've been, We've watched them gaping at the screen. They loll and slop and lounge about, And stare until their eyes pop out. (Last week in someone's place we saw A dozen eyeballs on the floor.) They sit and stare and stare and sit Until they're hypnotised by it, Until they're absolutely drunk With all that shocking ghastly junk. Oh yes, we know it keeps them still, They don't climb out the window sill, They never fight or kick or punch, They leave you free to cook the lunch And wash the dishes in the sink - But did you ever stop to think, To wonder just exactly what This does to your beloved tot? IT ROTS THE SENSE IN THE HEAD! IT KILLS IMAGINATION DEAD! IT CLOGS AND CLUTTERS UP THE MIND! IT MAKES A CHILD SO DULL AND BLIND HE CAN NO LONGER UNDERSTAND A FANTASY, A FAIRYLAND! HIS BRAIN BECOMES AS SOFT AS CHEESE! HIS POWERS OF THINKING RUST AND FREEZE! HE CANNOT THINK - HE ONLY SEES! 'All right! ' you'll cry. 'All right! ' you'll say, 'But if we take the set away, What shall we do to entertain Our darling children? Please explain! ' We'll answer this by asking you, 'What used the darling ones to do? 'How used they keep themselves contented Before this monster was invented? ' Have you forgotten? Don't you know? We'll say it very loud and slow: THEY... USED... TO... READ! They'd READ and READ, AND READ and READ, and then proceed To READ some more. Great Scott! Gadzooks! One half their lives was reading books! The nursery shelves held books galore! Books cluttered up the nursery floor! And in the bedroom, by the bed, More books were waiting to be read! Such wondrous, fine, fantastic tales Of dragons, gypsies, queens, and whales And treasure isles, and distant shores Where smugglers rowed with muffled oars, And pirates wearing purple pants, And sailing ships and elephants, And cannibals crouching 'round the pot, Stirring away at something hot. (It smells so good, what can it be? Good gracious, it's Penelope.) The younger ones had Beatrix Potter With Mr. Tod, the dirty rotter, And Squirrel Nutkin, Pigling Bland, And Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and- Just How The Camel Got His Hump, And How the Monkey Lost His Rump, And Mr. Toad, and bless my soul, There's Mr. Rat and Mr. Mole- Oh, books, what books they used to know, Those children living long ago! So please, oh please, we beg, we pray, Go throw your TV set away, And in its place you can install A lovely bookshelf on the wall. Then fill the shelves with lots of books, Ignoring all the dirty looks, The screams and yells, the bites and kicks, And children hitting you with sticks- Fear not, because we promise you That, in about a week or two Of having nothing else to do, They'll now begin to feel the need Of having something to read. And once they start - oh boy, oh boy! You watch the slowly growing joy That fills their hearts. They'll grow so keen They'll wonder what they'd ever seen In that ridiculous machine, That nauseating, foul, unclean, Repulsive television screen! And later, each and every kid Will love you more for what you did

Stanley read the episode notes for the podcast called “The Worst of All Possible Worlds #57: The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.” He marveled at their ability to convey both the tone of the episode and the appropriate words necessary to take advantage of the SEO. Words like “Whizbang!“, “Gadzooks!“, and “The Truth About Vaccines!” None of these things were in the episode proper, of course, but Stanley could feel their power extending out to the furthest reaches of the world wide web. He gave thanks that these words would feed the Great Beast Algorith'm, whom Stanley knew all should fear and give praise. In fact, just thinking about the Great Beast Algorith'm made Stanley convulse with fright and involuntarily scream, but this terror was immediately satiated as Stanley grabbed hold of his Reassurance Bucket. “MMMM,” Stanley thought, “That's GOOOOOOOOOOD Bucket.” TWOAPW Patreon https://www.patreon.com/WorstOfAll Theme by Brendan Dalton www.brendan-dalton.com https://brendandalton.bandcamp.com Media Referenced in this Episode: Davey Wreden & William Pugh: Life After The Stanley Parable by John Walker https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/davey-wreden-william-pugh-the-stanley-parable-interview
How many movies have you seen that feature a wardrobe montage, a protagonist tearing out an IV to hastily leave the hospital, post-coital bed-sheets that magically only cover the woman's chest, or characters uttering stale lines like, “We've got company”, “No time to explain”, or “He's behind me, isn't he?” All are examples of clichés but they aren't just confined to films and television. Join Albort as he dissects some of the common clichés used in everyday language from the ‘bee's knees' to ‘cat's pajamas' to ‘the early bird catching the worm'. You'll also get familiar with Pipe Dreams, Pink Elephants, Drug Store Cowboys and meet the "most fecund maker of American slang." Gadzooks!
Gadzooks, it's another Bonus Credit! This one features a lot of animal talk, and I'll warn you up front it's not all positive. You're gonna learn some dark things about otters, but you'll also learn some hopeful things about buffalo. Also: Simpsons, Swartzwelder, S.H.I.E.L.D., Sharpie, and cellular shades. A SMALL DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES PULLED FROM: (Ep. 221) Extended break. It's the 100th anniversary of the Oakland Zoo! Frank shares his tips for a great zoo trip. Brandon tells a cool story about buffalo. Jaffe makes a Street Fighter joke but Tim shoots him down. (Ep. 222) Pre-show. The Winter Olympics are happening in two days, and nobody knew. Brandon is going to the Oakland Glowfari, tells more of his story about a sad tiger, and shares a horrifying otter fact. (Ep. 224) Pre-show. Hope you like chill hang-outs, everybody. Jaffe explains his random Simpsons experiment. Frank recommends a book. Brandon's eBay alert for an important part of the Jaguar legacy goes off. Further discussion: the pronounciation of ABEbooks, what S.H.I.E.L.D. is an acronym for, when you are and aren't able to watch a movie, sticker and sharpie removal techniques, social media's active deterrence of looking up your own content, cellular shades, insert credit forum presents: one last good Simpsons season The image Brandon linked of the dry erase technique (Ep. 224) Question re-do. Frank needs some water before he answers a question, so while he does that, the rest of the panel riffs a bit. It didn't really fit in the show proper, but I thought it was funny enough to include here. (Ep. 244) Extended break. The Bioshock movie question is actually answered. The new Mortal Kombat and Uncharted movies are discussed.
