You Deserve A Natty will go through every College Football season and tell you who actually deserves to claim the national championship for that season. Sometimes there will be logic and statistics involved and sometimes it will be completely arbitrary.
BOWL SEASON! Multiple 6-6 matchups this season that surely won't disappoint. Many teams playing without a coach including one bowl with no head coaches at all. Boise State and Central Michigan should sue Barstool Sports for loss of revenue. Wasabi is not a food. Two games at Toyota Stadium in three days. Carolina is playing Carolina in a bowl game in Carolina to decide who is the REAL Carolina. Plus we have some very intriguing NY6 games. And we'll probably end this crazy season with Alabama at the top. Again. Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, Bowl Season! We have a new entry for shocker of the season and a new entry for game of the season! Only one game went exactly as the national media expected because they apparently haven't seen Oregon play and thought the Ducks could beat the Utes. We knew better. Bryce Young will probably win the Heisman without even being the best player on his own team. A defensive player is in the top 4 of Heisman votings and that's as close as we'll ever get. The playoff committee was almost perfect, but they're not capable of that and we talk coaching carousel and some D3 Playoffs again. Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, championship week! Rivalry week did NOT disappoint! Starting with Egg Bowl on Thursday night and ending with Bedlam on Saturday night! Harbaugh and Michigan finally got past Ohio State and boy did they let out some aggression. Alabama is not elite and should have lost in the Iron Bowl, Georgia is still elite. Cincinnati is one win away from the playoffs! In theory, who knows what the committee will actually do. Championship weekend shaping up to be another weekend of chaos! We make our final playoff picks and we have a guest again to talk D3 playoffs Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, week 14! #3 Oregon lost! It's Rivalry Week! And we have a guest! UTSA barely stays unbeaten, the best 3 win team in the nation loses another one possession game and Alabama barely wins their own one possession game. Clemson reminded Wake Forest who the top of the ACC still is. CJ Stroud may have just won the Heisman, #3 Oregon lost! Washington statistically dominated and still lost by 3. Is the Pac 12 going to Pac 12? Or will Utah handle Colorado? Bedlam will be bedlam and we are so thankful for that! Plus the Mountain West and Pac 12 championship games are still wide open! And we have a guest join us to discuss Linfield and the Division 3 playoffs! Oh, and #3 Oregon lost by 31! Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, week 13! Not a big week for upsets. Oklahoma lost to Baylor, but Oklahoma is bad, so not an upset. The playoff committee actually got most of it right, except Michigan is still ahead of Michigan State, someone wasn't loved enough as a child. Both Oklahoma State and Baylor are legit and should get a playoff look, Oregon is clearly not the 3rd best team in the country. Will UTSA and Cincy keep the undefeated seasons going? Two tough opponents coming up. Time for SEC cupcake week and we have more coaching vacancies than qualified coaches. Plus, we talk a little Division III football playoffs and attempt to fix the selection process. Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, week 12! LET'S GET RECKLESS! My picks have been disastrous so this week we're going full chaos. Purdue might find themselves in the playoffs. Who saw multiple 3 loss ranked teams losing again? Everyone but the committee apparently. If Oregon is the 3rd best in the country, we're doomed as college football fans. Alabama is clearly not the number 2 team, but we have no idea who is. It's time for Bulldog fans to book flights to Indianapolis. And Cincy is not helping themselves. Plus our favorite team has no coaches, so who knows. Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, week 11! The CFP Committee is a joke! Bring the BCS back! Or at least expand the playoffs immediately. Alabama losing to an inferior team is apparently more impressive than being undefeated. Three losses will get you ranked, but being undefeated in San Antonio won't. The group of 5 officially has no chance with a four team playoff, don't even bother playing the games. Plus, can Michigan bounce back? Will Cincinnati be angry and run up the score? And can Washington upset Oregon? Probably not, but a guy can dream. Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, week 10! Wake Forest just scored again. Don't look now, but they're in the drivers seat to win the ACC. Is an undefeated Wake Forest ACC Champions in the playoffs? Clemson still sucks, Oklahoma should have lost to Kansas, Manny Diaz just earned himself another couple weeks. Who get's in? 12-1 Pac 12 champ Oregon or 12-1 Big 10 champ Ohio State? Plus James Franklin is already house shopping in LA. And what does Vegas know that the rest of us don't? Iowa is no longer elite. That lasted just one week. Seven-Win-Steve is alive and well in Texas, get used to it Longhorn nation. Tennessee fans embarrassed all of college football and Bama and Saban will make them pay for it this week. Does Oregon deserve their top 10 ranking? Has Harbaugh finally figured out how to win at Michigan? Plus we react to Coastal Carolina's season end in real time. And, if you're struggling, it's ok to ask for help. If someone says they're struggling, take it seriously, let them know you care. The greatest single day of college football in quite a long time. Upsets, comebacks, collapses, benched QBs, backup QBs, one thousand yard games. Saban finally loses to a disciple, an LSU disciple. A group of 5 team is in the top 4. Texas moved into the rankings after a loss. Mark Stoops is the coach of the year and Coach O is about to be kicked to the curb. Plus, is Iowa elite? Can they compete with UGA and Bama? And we truly don't understand hockey. Get your popcorn ready! It's Alabama and Georgia, and then everyone else. Iowa might be close. Washington thankfully has a bye week and I try not to throw up while complimenting BYU. The Pac 12 continues to cannibalize itself and the annual Circle of Suck starts and ends in the Pac 12 but branches across the country this season. And once again, Alabama still can't be stopped. WOOO PIG SOOIE! How bout them Hogs! Can Arkansas win another huge game, this time in Athens? It's Clemson's turn to forget how to play football. This is Cincy's big shot, beat Notre Dame and have a fast track to the playoffs. Plus, we fix the east coast of the United States. You're welcome America Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, week 5! We won a game!!! Washington finally remembered how to play football. No team looks truly unbeatable, Georgia looks the closest. Jake Haener and all his broken ribs deserve some Heisman recognition. Neutral site games should no longer exist. And we start off with some baseball talk, for some reason. We actually got some picks correct this week! And we had a couple wins for our teams! Alabama rolls again, and at this point, they can't be stopped. Brian Kelly and Chip Kelly are related. And, we learn what LIU is, and realize they have some of the best jerseys in football. Our regularly scheduled episodes will return shortly discussing the next several seasons of college football history, but in the mean time, let's get into week 3! Sooooo, last week wasn't great. 2 of our Final Four teams have already lost and so did one of our Heisman picks! We're hoping for a better week this week. Does Cincy deserve a shot at the playoffs if they win out? Will they even get a look from the committee?
