You're in my world now. Or you will be shortly when you take a listen. I'm not always interesting, but I am interesting for a higher percentage of time than most people you know who don't get paid to be funny. Was that sentence alright? It felt weird. Or maybe the sentence worked but the moment…
I have become a treasure hunter. That's right, I am looking for treasure. I think it is pretty cool.
This is a strange episode, or so it feels to me. Interested in what you think.
No hidden meanings in the episode's title, I had no real plan for a theme... no real plans for what I would include... except that I found a bunch of note cards, scrap of paper, etc. will ideas of things to talk about in my podcast. And it made me remember that I get some pretty awesome ideas... I just need to pay attention and execute on more of them. And of of those items was the exact first segment of this episode. Voila. Magic. Gold, Jerry. Gold! And from them it just evolved. There you have it. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Listener needed an audio booster to listen to Episode 1 of Season 15. This is one (of likely several) attempts to address that issue.
Exploration is the theme of this episode. Put on your pith helmet and join me.
I did not realize just have apropos the episode name would be when I selected it. Weird. Well, I am mildly psychic.
A behind the scenes look into Zubida's World on Sunday, July 2. Your chance to see if Zubida's World is just like your world, unless this past Sunday it was not.
On Zubida's World, we are all about the terminology. Come and learn all about UAP or be an $#@.
I can honestly say that I did not know where the podcast was going when I started this episode. It went weird. Oh, not immediately. For a while it just danced with amusing, and then.....BAMMMMM! It got weird. Huh. That's life.
A look back, and back, and back again. And then a quick detour sideways before a look at now and coming soon.
Second time's the charm, from an audio standpoint. We'll be testing this one in the car.
We spend a lot of time talking about spices... and human connections as well. You'll laugh, I'll cry and we'll celebrate our community.
It was the middle of the night when this episode is made. The middle of the night offers freedom. It also comes with a healthy dose of strange, and strange possibilities.
While the podcast audio file was uploading, I was holding my daily dance part. Today's groove... Stayin' Alive. What can I say? I'm staying alive, baby. Back after a holiday break for the blues, and it sure felt good. Took the time to write show notes, and discarded almost every idea written. That's 25 minutes of my life I'll never get back. This episode, however, is likely the stronger for the editing. In this episode you'll preview the first sexy scene of Zubida's cowboy romance, learn how COVID could have died six months ago, meet the podcast's new Pop Culture Czarina, and much much more. Why don't you take a listen?
The Friendsgiving outdoor festival was a bust. The tents were horrible. But the party was a delight.
If there is any doubt at all, and there might be, the little boy already has a fish, and a doggie. I had to listen to the track several times before I figured it out, and I participated in the conversation. Talking to the little boy was intended to cheer me up, in terms to my outlook on cats, to fight the Gracie factor. Tai chi was never on the docket for the week's discussion, and neither was popcorn. Yet far too many minutes in this episode involve tai chi or popcorn. Oh well, buyer beware. Especially beware of what can only be described as the world's worst attempt at a poem. I surrender.
You show love through words, or acts of service. Not me, I show love through crafting batshit crazy ideas for my friends and I to do. This time it involves giant pumpkins.
27 days until Friendsgiving, and at least now we have plates. And amusing anecdotes about a weird Barbie computer game that makes you hate Ken, as well an update on the cowboy romance.
The title says it all. Bad movies that are good movies that are bad movies is the focus. Oh, and you meet my super awesome friend Cruze.
The title says it all. Bad movies that are good movies that are bad movies is the focus. Oh, and you meet my super awesome friend Cruze.
So I had a fake relaunch of my podcast... It wasn't exactly a fake. It was real. It just was not good, or at least the sound wasn't. But I have new studio equipment and a burning desire to talk to you. And you want to hear what I, and the friends in Zubida's World, have to say. Or so I tell myself to feel better about myself. So hence the redo of the relaunch. Enjoy!
After a far too lengthy hiatus, Zubida's World is BACK! Look for weekly episodes. Zubida has all kinds of new equipment, so the podcast sounds so very awesome. In this episode, you meet a fellow Hoosier named Ray, who has made three movies. Once called "Tarrantino without the intelligence or wit", he is a true Indiana treasure.
I thought this was episode 5, but I was wrong. Just another amateur podcast for you. Clips from days of my life; dedications to those who I think about most in my life.
This episode is strangely autobiographical. Not that every episode doesn't have truths about my life. But this epiosde chronicles a 5-day period in my life, and buried between the laughs and silliness are a few moments of unvarnished honesty. From me to you.
I took a ride on the flu train and had some visions, man.
I did not want this episode to be about Gillter Chicken. But evidently the power of Glitter Chicken is greater than myself. Who knew.
I do not normally have a theme to the episode, or at least not one I really commit to, but here you are. The episode that is the exception. From star to finish this is about ghosts. And my cowardice.
The opening episode of season 5 will blow your mind. If you ever thought that your world may be just like mine, well here is where you may br proved wrong. Meet Andre and Stella. Learn about giving better oral sex to a dude, meditate on whether Yoko Ono is a queen or a Svengali, and more. It is a wild and wacky ride.
I'm not sure who's pants the seltzer should be in, but I am sure that this episode is about pow wows, my mom and awkward moments.
Once you get to the end of the episode, you know what I have nothing to say.
This episode may be about heaven and hell. Or just cheap booze and questionable behavior. You pick.
The actual title of this episode is about 37 words longer, but the Title field only allows so many characters. So listen to the episode to find out what I will talk about... eventually... at the very end of the episode... because I almost forgot.
Back from my unscheduled mid-season break, and raring to go. This episode is strange, and funny, and a little random. I hope you love it as much as I do.
This podcast has a theme, which is somewhat abnormal for me. But perhaps it is the new normal, that I hope becomes the current normal. All this and more will be addressed, in my normal random, meandering, amateur hour kind of way.
Delving deeper into my world, and exploring different versus the same. Ordinary clips from my life. Or at least my ordinary.
Made this episode in record time. About three minutes longer than the episode is. What does that tell you? I won't presume to speculate, as we all think differently. Despite the rapidity with which I made the episode, there are one of two kernals in the mix that are worth the price of admission. And to those of you will your decoder ring waiting for the next message, here it is. A fellow parishener. A trope about Sin City. Genie in a Bottle.
OK. So only 35-40 people are listening. I can handle that. Better than a kick in the ass, as my father used to say. You play the hand you are dealt. Which is an interesting thing for me to type considering I am currently texting someone who plays cards very well and with whom I would like to have a little brown chicken brown cow kinda fun. You say 'say what'? Think if it as a test... in code... kinda like 'Drink More Ovaltine'. Word to your mother.
