Saddle up for 1983's Lone Wolf McQuade, a movie that puts our dearly departed Chuck Norris in situations that modern audiences may not fully appreciate. It may come as a surprise to younger viewers that Chuck stars as a Texas Ranger who solves nearly every problem with roundhouse kicks, excessive firepower, and an unwavering belief that partners are for other people. Chuck lays the foundation for his brand, proving that if you kick enough people in the face, eventually the plot resolves itself. Nick, Anthony, and Elise explore this gloriously dusty action flick packed with horse thieves, exploding vehicles, automatic weapons used in ways that would horrify physics, and David Carradine sporting one of the most baffling haircuts in cinematic history. We discuss whether Chuck's lifestyle qualifies him as a man, a myth, or a particularly well-armed chinchilla. The conversation wanders through Bruce Lee trivia, questionable animal-hybrid hypotheticals, angry police captains, impossible gunfights, and the peculiar magic of 1980s action heroes who refuse to work with partners, follow orders, or acknowledge the existence of consequences. It's a celebration of peak Chuck Norris energy, complete with flying kicks, flying bullets, and enough "Ranger" references to qualify as a hazardous drinking game. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085862

This one is a throwback and it still hits.Craig Johnson is the founder of Wild Ass Seats, a Minnesota-based manufacturer of premium motorcycle air cushions built in an FDA-approved medical device facility. He started the company about 10 years ago and has spent the better part of the last decade traveling the country, working shows, and building one of the most loyal product followings in the powersports accessories space. In this conversation with Brian, Craig talks about what drives him to keep pushing, why the best dealers are the ones willing to get educated on products rather than just looking for what is new, and what happens when a manufacturer has inventory but the distribution chain is broken. He also dropped a line that every parts manager and every dealer rep should hear: if they are not selling your product, they do not know enough about it yet. That is still true. What we cover:What keeps Craig going after a decade of building Wild Ass from the ground upThe pressure mapping test Craig ran against competitors at a local medical supply facility and what it showedWhy customer stories, not sales numbers, are the real fuel for a founderThe training portal Wild Ass built to incentivize dealer reps and parts staff to get educatedWhy asking what is new is the wrong question — and what dealers should be asking insteadThe manufacturer's perspective on supply chain blame: how dealers blame the brand when the distributor is the actual problemHow a great product can sit in a warehouse while the floor sells nothing because nobody passed on the knowledgeWild Ass's 10th anniversary expansion into UTVs, cars, trucks, tractors, and stadium seatingWhy this product is no longer just for long-distance motorcycle ridersWatch on YouTube: https://youtube.com/@dealershipfixit?si=xGw636a89UUDAK20Connect with Craig Johnson: https://www.linkedin.com/in/wildasscraig/Wild Ass Seats: https://www.wild-ass.comConnect with Jacob: https://linkedin.com/in/jacob-b-berryFollow the Fixit Online: https://linktr.ee/dealershipfixitMotoHunt for Dealers: https://dealers.motohunt.com

Send us Fan MailOrchid Bertelsen is one of the most distinctive and analytically sharp voices to emerge in equestrian media in this year. She built a twenty-year career at the highest levels of digital marketing and e-commerce before the horse world pulled her back in and gave her something new to write about. Her professional background spans Fortune 5 accounts at Dentsu, leading digital strategy across more than 40 consumer brands at Nestlé USA, and running operations at Common Thread Collective, a DTC e-commerce growth agency where she built the financial systems that helped brands grow profitably across paid media, creative, and retention. That resume alone would make her an interesting voice in any industry conversation. What makes her genuinely unique is where she is applying it. Orchid rode as a child, competed on the B circuit in Illinois and Wisconsin, then stepped away for nearly 30 years. After 30 years away from horses, she returned to the saddle at a historic equestrian club 10 minutes from her home in Grosse Pointe, Michigan — what started as a Christmas gift of six lessons has since taken over her entire personality. She currently leases a horse named Beau, and that experience of returning to the equestrian world with fresh eyes and a sophisticated marketing brain has given her an unusual and valuable vantage point on an industry she now sees clearly as both an insider and an analyst. Her Substack publication, Back in the Saddle, is built around the belief that the equestrian industry is a $12 billion market that still approaches e-commerce and digital marketing the way most consumer categories did a decade ago — and that the brands that figure it out first will have a real and lasting advantage. Her writing on the collapse of Dover Saddlery broke through well beyond the equestrian community, demonstrating that the industry's business stories are as compelling as any in mainstream consumer retail when told by someone who knows how to tell them. She writes about the adult amateur community as the largest and most underserved segment in the sport — and has made changing that the mission of her platform.Follow Orchid on Substack here: https://orchid.substack.com/theplaidhorse.com

We had the best conversation about starting over, finding yourself again, and why the second chapter might just be the best one yet. You're going to love her!
I interviewed Jeff Shneider (aka "Mr. Clinical Depression"), guitarist of Arab on Radar, and he walked me through each of their albums, one-by-one. Ok…I am giving you a heavy, high-stakes tactical assignment. I need your help BIG time, because by the end of this episode, we're calling for a coordinated, global counter-strike. There is a massive wave of cultural opposition and fear heading our way, and one of the enemy's top strategies is spiritual amnesia. He wants us to forget the miracles of yesterday so we panic about the battles of tomorrow. But there is a counter-offensive, let's talk about it… In this episode of The Leader's Cut, Preston Morrison pulls back the curtain on the power of memorial pillars. This is a strategic roadmap for taking ground back from the enemy. We are unpacking the exact mechanics of driving a prophetic stake into the earth, because if you don't boldly declare the spaces where God has moved, the enemy will step in to hijack them. In this episode, we are unpacking what lights the fuse : The Antidote to Fear: Why a physical declaration of "God did that" is your only active defense against the rampant dread the enemy is trying to unleash on our culture. The Amnesia Trap: How comfort causes us to secretly believe our hand did that, and why the "Humility Protocol" keeps us radically dependent on the Spirit. The Turf War: Learn why the enemy aggressively tries to turn your places of encounter into houses of wickedness, and how a prophetic stake in the ground reclaims the territory. The Identity Protocol: How God takes Jacob back to the scene of his deepest family trauma, not to punish him, but to completely rename, refine, and redefine him. This isn't just an invitation to watch or listen to another episode; we're asking you to partner in a physical act of obedience that covers the earth with testimonies of God's power. It's time to stop letting the enemy hijack holy ground. Saddle up. It's time to light this fuse. **If you're committing to placing a memorial pillar, send us a quick summary of where you left your rock and why. Let's track the territory we reclaim together!**

Ben is about to climb into a Piper Apache, which our own blog has definitively declared the official airplane of twin-engine Russian roulette, and he's doing the responsible midlife thing: writing down the flows, chair flying in his hotel room until his shoulder gives out, and showing up prepared anyway. Brian is deep in commercial checkride prep mode, synthesizing seven sources of information into cheat sheets that actually make sense to a human brain, and Ted — man flu survivor — is keeping everyone grounded as only Ted can. The topic tonight is what it actually takes to reenter the atmosphere of training after a gap: the ego check, the clipboard anxiety, the moment you realize you don't understand something and instead of walking away, you just read it again slower. Also: Neil deGrasse Tyson drops some wisdom, a five-star review nails all three hosts in one sentence, and we make the case that your private certificate is just a learner's permit for everything you're about to get wrong. Saddle up for another episode of Riders on Beer Belly Sports — the reason why we're the Semi Pro of Sports Talk. This week Matt and Bruce hit the road talking about Mother's Day weekend, the madness of Minnesota Fishing Opener, and everything else happening across the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The guys break down the Vikings adding another wide receiver, the Twins continuing to do… Twins things again, and whether the Wild and Timberwolves can keep Minnesota's championship hopes alive. The boys also lock in another legendary Shot Bet that probably won't end well for somebody involved. Plus, Bruce finally discovers where Kevin has been hiding all week… and let's just say it tracks perfectly. And like always, Matt fires up another unforgettable edition of Missed Connections, proving once again that the internet was a mistake. After meeting on a horse track tour and realizing that we shared a common passion and vision, I couldn't wait to chat with Katrina Chapman of Lovas Equestrian about her work, her saddles and what drew her to thinking outside of the box about equine environments and more. Katrina is a trailblazer, as you'll hear, starting as a saddle fitter and moving into creating her own custom saddles after seeing some major gaps in the industry. But, Katrina's a horse lover first and foremost, and in this conversation she shares some of her frustration when it comes to being a saddle fitter, when the issue is clearly not the saddle, how she navigates tricky conversations with clients about needed changes, her fave easy addition to support with topline and comfort and what changes she sees in horses that have their basic habitat needs met (hint: they are often easier to fit). Katrina Chapman's journey towards founding Lovas Equestrian was fueled by a deep frustration born out of a love for horses and a desire to ensure their well-being. As a passionate horse lover and dedicated saddle fitter, she witnessed firsthand the unfortunate consequences of ill-fitting saddles and tack on both horses and riders. Katrina realized that there were limited options available in the market that truly addressed this crucial issue. The lack of well-fitting and affordable alternatives compelled her to take matters into her own hands. Determined to make a difference, she embarked on a mission to develop innovative and accessible options that would provide optimal comfort and performance without breaking the bank. It was the frustrations she experienced that inspired Katrina to create Lovas Equestrian, with the goal of revolutionizing the saddlery industry and offering equestrians the quality and affordability they deserve. In this episode of Bring the Pain, Dan and I are back after another wild card last week in Winnipeg. Even though we did well, a bad decision and a draw ended up breaking a couple of parlays for us that could have scored some major cash. However, I was able to hit the draw for a +5000, which paid for the entire weekend alone. That being said, we'll be giving out free bets, parlays, and DFS lineups so we can slay the sportsbooks again. Hello to you listening in Greeley, Colorado! Coming to you from Whidbey Island Washington, this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. I believe that our November to May Rain Festival is nearly over. Here in the Pacific Northwest we welcome clear skies, sunshine, warm weather, less winter burden, and maybe even dropping our shoulders from the habitual “fight or flight” response to the world that continues spinning on an axis of uncertain madness. Habit. It's like that story about a team of pack animals struggling their way up a mountainside. The last pony in line was wearing a saddle but the horse just ahead of him was burdened with boxes and bags and baskets. The pony said: Good grief, what a heavy load you're carrying! The horse turned it's head and asked: What load? Like that horse we get used to carrying so much we don't even realize it. Practical Tip: Right now, in this moment stop, take a few deeps breaths, gently ease your shoulders away from your ears and smile to them; thank them for what they've been carrying for you and tell them that in the future you will take care to burden them less. Then wait for a moment while they smile back at you. You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! The patriarchs of Genesis — Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph — aren't just ancient characters. They're God narrowing the whole human story down to one family with one mission, and nothing was going to stop Him. This is Week 2 of The Story of God, tracing biblical history from creation to eternity. God shut the door on the old world and opened a new one. The cowboy doesn't quit mid-trail, and neither does God. In this episode: What the Tower of Babel reveals about human nature — and why God's response was mercy, not just judgment How Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob prove that God keeps His covenant across generations, even when His people don't deserve it The Bronze Age world context that makes the patriarchs' story feel alive and historically real Why Joseph in Egypt isn't a rags-to-riches story — it's God positioning an entire nation for the next chapter The Big Pattern in action: Man rebels, rebels are scattered, the righteous are preserved, and God starts over Scripture References: Genesis 8–50 This episode is for anyone who's ever felt like God forgot His promise, lost the thread of the biblical story, or wondered how the Old Testament connects to their life right now. Greetings to all from your recently Venetianized podcaster, now (as the title of today's episode indicates) once again back in the saddle and bringing you the fourth and final of my vacation (or holiday, if you prefer) episodes featuring great sopranos and tenors of the 1960s and 1970s, as compiled by the late great collector and vocal aficionado Ed Rosen. Today is the second of the tenor LPs from that collection and once again features a range of the brightest and best of that era in thrilling live performances: from Richard Tucker and Franco Corelli (both of whom are heard in excerpts from La Fanciulla del West) to Björling, Carreras, Bergonzi, di Stefano, Kraus, Pavarotti, Gedda, and del Monaco singing everything from Nemorino to Siegmund (!) The vocal splendor of these singers is matched by (for the most part) their musical refinement and taste. And if certain of the featured tenors forgets his musical manners, rest assured that the amplitude of their thrilling high notes is suitable compensation! Countermelody is the podcast devoted to the glory and the power of the human voice raised in song. Singer and vocal aficionado Daniel Gundlach explores great singers of the past and present focusing in particular on those who are less well-remembered today than they should be. Daniel's lifetime in music as a professional countertenor, pianist, vocal coach, voice teacher, and author yields an exciting array of anecdotes, impressions, and “inside stories.” At Countermelody's core is the celebration of great singers of all stripes, their instruments, and the connection they make to the words they sing. By clicking on the following link (https://linktr.ee/CountermelodyPodcast) you can find the dedicated Countermelody website which contains additional content including artist photos and episode setlists. The link will also take you to Countermelody's Patreon page, where you can pledge your monthly or yearly support at whatever level you can afford.
In this episode, Sandy and Cara take a deep dive into the mystical world of animal communication. Sandy shares her recent consultation with renowned communicator Lydia Hibby, seeking answers for her horse, Shooter. The conversation covers:The "Science" of Connection: The hosts discuss their initial skepticism and the specific stories—like Lydia knowing about a pet pigeon's specific car preference—that turned them into believers.Shooter's Backstory: Lydia uncovers the traumatic root of Shooter's fear of being tied, linking it to a chaotic accident involving two other horses that Cara hadn't previously detailed.Holistic Health: From Tapping (EFT) for adrenaline release to identifying hidden physical tension in the TMJ and kidneys, the episode explores how emotional trauma manifests physically in horses. The Heart of the Matter: A touching revelation about Shooter's appreciation for Cara's affection reminds us why the bond between rider and horse is so unique.Whether you're a skeptic or a seeker, this episode offers a heartwarming look at how better understanding our horses can lead to safer, happier rides.Follow Saddle Talk with Sandy & Cara on Facebook!

This week is moving fast. And if you're not anchored… it can pull you off center before you even realize it. There's a massive surge of forward-moving energy right now— and the pressure to act, decide, and move is real. But this week isn't asking you to go faster. It's asking you to stay in your seat while everything accelerates. IN THIS EPISODE, WE WALK THROUGH: – how to stay centered in high-fire energy – aligned action vs reactive movement – where you're still clinging to the old – and how to move with the future that's already pulling you forward If you've been feeling the intensity… this will help you walk it consciously. WORK WITH THIS WEEK’S ENERGY (Don't Just Think About It) This is the exact work we're doing inside BONES right now. It's not just intensity— it's a shift in direction. You may be feeling it as questions like: – What am I actually called to now? – How do I work in this level of change? Because as everything accelerates, your calling can evolve with it. The way you serve. The way you create. The way your energy moves in the world.
