It's a big week ahead for the Scotland Women's National Team as they look to take a giant step towards qualification for a second consecutive World Cup Finals, being held in Australia and New Zealand next summer. John B is joined by four special guests with a fountain of knowledge of the Women's game - Chris Marshall, Amy Canavan, Jane Lewis and Emma Black - to assess our chances of defeating Austria in the European Playoff Semi Final on Thursday 6 October, then Republic of Ireland on 11 October. Fortunately, we have been given two home games at Hampden that increases our chances of victory enormously, albeit against two tough sides, particularly the Austrians who were Quarter Finalists at this summers Euro's. We look at the transition under Head Coach Pedro Martinez Losa, analyse the 25-player squad, assess the opposition and what we need to do to win the games. Chris also best explains the complex playoff route that will likely see Scotland facing an Intercontinental playoff scenario in New Zealand in February, but will only play one more game, therefore we are essentially three wins away from World Cup 2023. Ticket prices for the games at the National Stadium are £10 adults and £5 concessions, with the Ireland game half price if you buy both matches together with a full refund for that game in the event of a loss to Austria (that won't happen). It's an even better bargain for Scotland Supporters Club members who get FREE entry to both matches, so if you can please get yourself along to Hampden to cheer the girls onto Australia and New Zealand next July. Outro Music - We Have A Dream: Scotland 1982 World Cup Squad, BA Robertson & John Gordon Sinclair Thanks to our Fantasy Football Scotland league sponsors Supernova Terracewear supernovaterracewear.com and Surprise Shirts Surprise Shirts are currently offering 10% off their products at surprise shirts.co.uk with the code SFF. The latest edition of the podcast which asks: what is the least Mod Dungeons & Dragons character? This episode, Pop-Crazed Youngsters, has been cursed by the tang of man-flu and dodgy microphones, meaning it’s not at the usual hi-fidelity standard you’ve come to expect from Chart Music. But what an incident-packed go-around on the morbid carousel of Pop it is! There’s wave after wave of guest appearances from people who really shouldn’t have bothered, such as Cliff, his specky henchman Hank Marvin, and none other than co-host KEGGY KEEGLE HIMSELF facing down DLT in a perm-off. Thanks to Simon getting an unexpected birthday present, we have possession of a full shooting script of an episode from The Popses’ post-strike regeneration, and we try to break the codes therein. Musicwise, the Mod revival rides itself right off the cliff, Kelly Marie and Sheena Easton put on their best Bingo Jumpsuits, Cliff does his Danger Dancing routine next to a keyboard player in Alan Partridge shorts, Randy Crawford’s heartbreakingly brilliant performance is ruined by a vision mixer who makes her look like the alien off Alien, and Nicholas Lyndhurst, Martin Shaw and Dennis Waterman rule over the charts. Al Needham is joined by Simon Price and David Stubbs for a good hard leer at the autumn of 1980, veering off – as always – on tangents such as trying to be a 12 year-old Ace Face when everyone’s seen your Dad drag you out of a boating lake at Skegness Butlins, why adding the Poo-Poo drum machine over Joy Division records in clubs will never get old, having a good laugh at younger brothers who get beaten up in town for wearing the wrong badges, pathological hatred of Plastic Mods, and flares. And swearing, swearing, all the time swearing. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

James Robertson Justice, not Robert Morley, I just realized ... to know the grace of a warm embrace ... a cream puff or a vol au vent. It'll make sense in the end. Right then, here are the delights we delighted over ...   Artist #1: Night - Night. Artist #2: Ron Goodwin - Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines. Artist #3: Various Artists - Darling of the Day.   As it says ...     Ah, Ron, you did us proud ...     Glorious artwork, thank you Ronald ...     Sometimes life offers up such rare gifts ...     No, really, singing ...     Double from a single: Sucker for your love by BA Robertson.
