Based in Harborne, Birmingham, Katie & Jack have taken Wentworth & Rose from a brand new estate agents to one of the leading estate agents in the area. We talk about how they started, the importance of being recognised in the local area and how their impressive offices just off Harborne High Street are a great base for their clients to visit (when they were allowed) which really puts them on the map. Katie & Jack not only have an extensive knowledge of Harborne but also of the market in the Birmingham City Centre, after heading up a lettings agency there in the past. We talk about how this market has been affected by COVID and the interesting shifts that they have seen in the investment market. This will give you a great insight into the Birmingham market as well as how to run a successful estate agency year on year! As with all my guests I donate £10 to a chosen charity as a way of saying Thank You for coming on. Katie has decide to donate to Age UK and Jack to St. Mary's Hospice.

In this week’s Open Country, Helen Mark journeys to 'The Centre of the Earth', an urban nature reserve in Birmingham, next to Winston Green Prison. The Centre of the Earth is Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust’s purpose built environmental centre in Winston Green - just 1.5 km from Birmingham City Centre. Situated in what has historically been one of the country’s most deprived, urban areas, this little pocket of green is a special place for the community and a thriving home to all kinds of wildlife. Through tender love and care from the dedicated volunteers, there are otters, smooth newts and a wild flower nursery that helps populate other urban sites across the city, including the visitor’s garden at the prison next door. It's also inspired a local school, which has students who between them speak over 40 different languages, to develop their own nature space. And then, last but by no means least, there’s the Golden Sparkles community group… Presented by Helen Mark Produced by Nicola Humphries

It rained! It actually rained!! The Hungarian Grand Prix of the ages is now over and finding merely one or two moments of highlights amid such constantly exciting racing is an impossible task. It was as close to motor racing perfection as we're likely to ever get. And thankfully there was a PACKED Apres Bar in Birmingham City Centre full of loudly opinionated fans to discuss the many talking points this race transpired. Another fan-favourite from Danny-Ric, who seemingly no-one has a bad word to say about. Back to front action from Lewis who had to fight for every lap it seemed. Alonso dragging his Ferrari further than it'd gone so far this season. Crashes, passes, safety cars, strategy, controversy....and they say F1 needs spicing up? @formulapubscast Recorded at Motorsport In Pubs Birmingham www.motorsportinpubs.co.uk
