In the theme of Thanksgiving, Michelle looks back and appreciates the community of listeners, trainees, attendees, and others who have supported her and her platform so that she can share her methods of success with others. One way she does this is through workshops and programs. She is teaming up with previous podcast guest Shannon Werner to host the BE/U Accelerator program (more information in the show notes). Michelle also asks listeners to send an email listing things they are grateful for to be shared on the next episode. This month Michelle interviews Eian Crockatt, the Barre Boy. Eian is the head of Barre at Move Your Frame in London. Eian has such a big love for Barre and how it can be such a powerful stand alone class or used to help assist any other workout or sport. Michelle and Eian discuss the journey to becoming a professional dancer, what it's like to teach during a pandemic, and even a little about Eian's home renovation interests. a branded world: Branding made easy. A podcast where we explore great brands and learn how to build a powerful brand.

I don't think anyone was quite prepared for the COVID-19 crisis we're all facing right now. Unfortunately, this crisis will likely severely affect many organizations, for profit and non-profit. Today's episode is an encore episode first launched in March 2018. Although the examples shared are quite different in nature and scale (by a lot!) to the one we're experiencing now, the principles and best practices shared here, still apply. It's my hope that the advice shared in this episode can help guide some organizations through this crisis.

a branded world: Branding made easy. A podcast where we explore great brands and learn how to build a powerful brand.

Crisis can hit any moment, a natural or man-made "disaster", lash back in social media or cyber attack. Scott Crockatt, the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, tells us how to prepare and face a crisis.

Richard Crockatt is an Emeritus Professor in the School of American Studies at the University of East Anglia. His book, Einstein & Twentieth-Century Politics: ‘A Salutary Moral Influence‘ (Oxford University Press, 2016), is an intellectual biography of Einstein’s political thought. As one the most compelling figures of the twentieth century, Einstein first gained public attention for his scientific theories placing him on the world stage. Developing a broad network of liberal internationalists he had the opportunity to speak for and support some of the most critical political issues of his day. Crockatt follows him through his early days and his connections with men like Bertrand Russell, H.G. Wells and Albert Schweitzer that shaped his thought as a global public intellectual. From his position of professional influence and personal charm, he worked on behalf of pacifism, Zionism, world government, freedom, and against the arms race. Einstein’s positions emerged from deep moral conviction yet his thought remained complex, non-dogmatic and at times seemingly contradictory. Crockatt has captured the deep moral sensibility and agile political mind of a scientist who exercised “a salutary moral influence.” Lilian Calles Barger, www.lilianbarger.com, is a cultural, intellectual and gender historian. Her current book project, tentatively entitled The World Come of Age: Religion, Intellectuals and the Challenge of Human Liberation, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press.
