Adrienne Batra, editor-in-chief of the Toronto Sun, is covering for Alan Carter for the next three days... and trying her best not to outshine the host in sunny Oakland covering the Raptors games there. Adrienne brings Alan onto the show to talk Raptors, and let him spy on his temporary replacement. She is also joined by The Sun's Brian Lilley to talk about Mike Layton and Steve Clark, Professor Dr Mitchell to talk about cases of parents who unsuccessfully treat their children with homeopathic means, and Crystal Luxmore to talk about butterfly scrapings in your beer... All in a day's news!
In the fourth episode of Lagered Tales our co-founder and CEO at Beau’s, Steve Beauchesne, talks to Ren Navarro, founder of Beer.Diversity about her work addressing the lack of diversity in the Canadian craft beer industry. In the episode’s second feature, one of our producers, Patrick, sits down with Ottawa-based charitable organization, Operation Come Home’s executive director, Elspeth McKay, and Steve (separately) as they each recount the (exciting) story of having a law changed in Ontario in 2011, in the name of social enterprise! In our third feature, Eddy Earwigg sits down with Louise Sproule, the editor and publisher of The Review, a local newspaper in Vankleek Hill. They discuss the challenges of being the first female publisher at a small-town paper, how Vankleek Hill has changed since Beau’s arrived, and much more -- expect the unexpected. Finally, Steve joins the Toronto-based writer and beer expert Crystal Luxmore to discuss her favourite holiday beers. Lagered Tales is a bi-weekly check-in from your friends at the employee-owned Canadian craft brewery Beau’s. Through interviews, storytelling and exciting regular features, we'll explore the intersecting worlds of craft beer, food, music, community and culture — and we’ll just generally talk to great people doing great things.
