Cumbria Police have launched a 'lone working verification process' for members of the public who want to 'verify' police officers who they come into contact with who are single-crewed or who are working alone. The force announced that, from today, a new officer verification process would be introduced for members of the public who would like to confirm the identity of a lone working Cumbria Constabulary officer they come into contact with. A spokesperson for the force said that the introduction of this process is to reassure people who may have concerns about lone officers and the reason for their interaction with them. Hi everyone, Welcome to the channel - in this video, we take a look at something which I think often gets overlooked by drone operators; working in remote places, alone. Often called lone working; it's a big deal in lots of industries and is something which is avoided WHEREVER POSSIBLE... It doesn't seem to be something which people are aware of, made aware of, or taught about whilst they're learning to operate or thinking about operating a drone. There are lots of safety implications surrounding lone working and it's something which we've always avoided within our drone operations by ensuring that the teams we sent out were always a minimum of two people. Whilst I'm aware that it's not always possible or feasible for people to work in this way; if you are going to go out and fly your drone / work alone, particularly in a remote environment, then make sure you've got the processes in place for people to know where you are and where to come and look for you, if you don't 'check-in' with them as planned. It may seem a little over-the-top, but for the one occasion that something happens; you'll be glad that you'd put those processes and plans in place! One of the "Lone Working" Apps, which offers a free trial can be found at the link below: https://staysafeapp.com/ Please feel free to rate the video and leave any comments or questions below...
