http://annettbone.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/The-Difference-Between-Good-and-Outstanding.png () Session Summary: Three dance companies. One good performance. Two outstanding performances. With anything, especially art, the difference between good and outstanding is subjective. This session is a summary of my experiences at three different dance performances from http://atte9dancecompany.com (Ate9 Dance Company), http://malpasodance.com (Malpaso Dance Company) and https://batsheva.co.il/en/home (Batsheva Dance Company) . Listen to this episode to find out the one show that put at least two people to sleep (that I know of personally LOL), and which two shows that kept the audience engaged. http://annettbone.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Its-Never-Too-Late-To-Be-Great.png () Age is just a number. State of mind, not date of birth. And, it's never too late to be great. I resonate so much with these words. I was so delighted to have a conversation with a remarkable woman by the name of Marjorie Goodson who is yet another awesome testimonial for these impactful statements. A dancer, an artist and an author, Marjorie thought that creating her beautiful dance book would be a good distraction from her daughter leaving for college. However, this distraction has turned into a delicious work of art that has brought much media attention and artistic growth. Marjorie Goodson is breaking physical and creative boundaries with her luxurious, avant-garde coffee table book simply titled, MG. She is the daughter of Mark Goodson, the most popular game show creator and producer in the history of TV (Family Feud, The Price is Right, Match Game, To Tell The Truth, Beat the Clock) Marjorie is a proud and active supporter of The Actors Fund's Career Transition for Dancers, and has been an avid dancer since childhood. For Marjorie, dancing is her need, her want, her strength, her desire, her pleasure, her energy and sometimes her pain. “It’s my purpose and my passion, and it feeds my soul,” said Marjorie. With the release of MG, her book of photographic essays three years in the making, Marjorie most definitely pushes the artistic envelope to the pinnacle of creative performance. The book includes 153 commanding and empowering images by noted Romanian born art and fashion photographer, Andreea Radutoiu. The life-long dancer is captured – in glorious color, dramatic black and white and stimulating sepia tones – the magnificent and glorious 55-year-old Goodson in multiple dance postures in her passionate pursuit of life that goes beyond age and into the stratosphere of the emotional and physical connection to one’s inner self. “I feel my time is now,” says Goodson. There’s always tomorrow – there’s always an opportunity,” she says. “It’s tapping into your youth and having the courage to be creative and to live in the body physical.” MG is an artistic and visual collaboration between Goodson (concept and creative content), Radutoiu, and hair and makeup stylist, Torsten Witte (LaLa Land, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), set against some of Southern California’s most dramatic and historic locations including, The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Milk Studios, the Dunes at Pismo and Zuma Beach. Goodson has always loved using her body to express art and with this exquisite tome, she hopes to inspire other women by letting them know they, too, can find their passion and confidence at any age.

MG ~ Fabulous, Fit & Festive with Marjorie Goodson Marjorie Goodson, a classically trained ballet dancer, and the daughter of the late Mark Goodson, brings us a collection of dramatic and dynamic dance images in her book titled MG. Her use of gritty, raw, and often nude imagery reveals the dancer's sensual, provocative nature and her love of the "contemporary" through the architectural shapes she creates and molds with her sculpted body. With stunning textures, lighting, and composition (and a wild imagination), MG highlights the sheer physicality and drama of contemporary dance. Alternating between flamboyant and vulnerable, Goodson celebrates the body "physical" and the body "emotional”. At 54, Goodson proves that you can be beautiful and passionate at any age. MGis a sensual, powerful and uplifting feast for the human spirit. 153 photographs by acclaimed photographer Andreea Radutoiu.
