Julie & Paul in conversation with David Eastaugh https://thewouldbes.bandcamp.com/album/hindzeitgeist Indie pop band from Ireland formed in 1988 by the three Finnegan brothers, evolving from their earlier band The Nobody's. Another brother James Finnegan managed the band, and footed the bill for the recording and for the first pressing of 250 copies of their debut single, released by Danceline Records. This single was famously championed by John Peel (it reached number 12 in that year's Festive 50). 17 year old singer Julie McDonnell left the band shortly afterwards, replaced by Eileen Gogan before breaking up in 1991.

Festive celebrations at Christmas and New Year often involve increased alcohol consumption in many parts of the world. For some, that's followed by a decision to take a break from drinking. It's become widely known as Dry January. However, data shows that more people are choosing to reduce their alcohol intake all year round. Alcohol-free drinks only make up about 1% of the total industry, but their popularity has risen quickly, and the vast majority of those drinks - 90% according to analysts Mintel - are beer. How influential is Dry January really in this growing trend? And how will the smaller producers, who pioneered the non-alcoholic sector, fare now that the drinks giants are producing their own zero percent products? We examine the changing adult drinks market. If you'd like to get in touch with the programme, our email address is businessdaily@bbc.co.ukPresented and produced by Imran Rahman-Jones(Picture: Sonja Mitchell, founder of Jump Ship Brewing, based in Scotland, UK, holding a glass of non-alcoholic beer up in the air. It's THE RETURN of the Trackstaa Podcast.Hosts Richard Morrell and Lucy Jones are back on the mic and dive straight into the biggest talking points in athletics, bringing plenty of analysis, strong opinions, and a few bold predictions along the way.In this episode, they look ahead to the World Cross Country Championships, chatting through likely winners, what kind of course we're in for, and why racing on home soil could give Team USA a real edge. There's a deep dive into the form of key contenders too, including Jacob Kiplimo in the men's race and Agnes Ngetich and Maurine Jepkoech Chebor on the women's side, plus a look at how the mixed relay might play out, with Australia shaping up as serious contenders. The conversation then turns to recent action closer to home, with a British distance running form check after some eye-catching performances from Verity Ockenden and Matt Ramsden. Rich and Lucy also recap the Hogman Howay 5K, discuss whether it could become a fixture on the calendar, and debate whether Battersea Park really deserves its reputation as one of the quickest courses in the UK.To round things off, attention shifts to the roads with a preview of the Valencia 10K, one of the fastest races on the calendar, and what a stacked elite field could mean for the early-season pecking order.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-running-pod-trackstaa/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

It's officially the most wonderful time of the year— or is it? During the holidays, many of us are anything but cheerful. From Thanksgiving to Diwali, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza and New Year's, it‘s enough to make anyone feel frantic and frazzled. In this episode, Jill sits down with Niro Feliciano, cognitive psychotherapist and author of the new book ‘All is Calmish– How to Feel Less Frantic and More Festive During the Holidays,' about the best ways to handle stress and feel joy during the holiday season. Niro has tips for dealing with grief, savoring key moments, knowing when to say "no," and even how to help kids (and adults) handle the influx of comparisons caused by social media and diverse holiday traditions. You can subscribe to Niro's newsletter, Three Good Things , for more on gratitude, relationships, and wellness. Jill Wagner (@jillrwagner) is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning journalist. She's the Managing Editor of Mo News. Jill previously worked as a correspondent for CBS News, Cheddar News, and News 12. She also co-founded the Need2Know newsletter, and has made it a goal to drop a Seinfeld reference into every Mo News podcast.
