This week on the DATEScast, our snackologists stare fear right in the face in a south central Phoenix parking lot at midnight on a Friday just to pick, eat, and rate this week's snack for you, our loyal viewers. It's time to try McDonald's Szechuan Sauce. Topics include the strange relationship over this sauce between McD's and Rick and Morty creators, the Mulan tie in, and plenty of info from Meal Theory 101. We just took over the family, Morty, and if you tell your mom or sister we said any of this, we'll deny it. Featuring: Derek Montilla (@cap_kaveman) & Tim Agne (@timagne) Music by: Polly Hall & Andrew Barkan, & Trap City Inspired by: Mike and Tom Eat Snacks

Barrel Fire Shot Takes proved that Saquon Barkely is the worst RB to come out of the NFL Draft in years, the Astros will not have a winning season, Jameis Winston is set to have a bounce back year and McDonald's Szechuan sauce isn't even better than ketchup. We also devolved into an argumentative political discussion regarding gun control. Seriously.
Arden and Will rant about the insanity of Rick and Morty fans, especially when it comes to McDonald's Szechuan sauce. (Please don't trade your car or your kidney. It'll be back this winter.) They also explain why your dog should sleep in your bedroom, and drift into a fantasy about their future pets. Finally, learn about the super cool job that will pay you to go shopping. Despite a long weekend at New York Comic Con the Geek 101 crew is here to deliver another jam packed episode! In news this week toxic fandom was put on full display as Rick and Morty fans made a stink over some McDonald's Szechuan sauce...You heard that right. Grown men whined about not getting enough McDonald's sauce from their favorite cartoon...sigh. That same level of toxicity was found in a few retailers during a Marvel panel. These men put their homophobia, racism, and misogyny front and center while they complained about Marvel's new direction. On a more positive note in the wake of NYCC we were treated to some trailers! Brian K. Vaughn's Runaways has been brought to life by Hulu. We're hyped. Justice League looks like the same old song and dance. Pacific Rim 2 looks to be massively entertaining. Finally, The Last Jedi gives plenty of intrigue and incites even more anticipation. In this week's episode we've decided to include a short, spoiler free blurb for the film Blade Runner 2049. The film hasn't seen the box office success it predicted so Ariel and Mike give you their opinion on whether or not you can see it. Afterwards we go into a deep, detailed review of Denis Villanueve's visually stunning sci-fi sequel. Follow us on twitter!
